It took that long because all [snip] pc players where so ungrateful for everything they just held it off until the console versions released. They had them done for months but they waited for consoles so they can sell more and make more money. Now that the game is out on all platforms we should see content every few months. I mean it's only been like a month since imperial city release and they already announced orcinium for next month.

It took that long because all the console players whined and moaned about the subscription on facebook, reddit, and twitter so they had to refocus their efforts for a year to retool the game to be a buy-to-play game with a crown store before the console versions released. They had them done for months but they couldn't release them because they needed to have content releases for the Crown Store. Now that the game is out on all platforms we should see content every few months. I mean it's only been like a month since imperial city release and they already announced orcinium for next month.

    Fixed it for ya.

Yea... but is Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild going to be new zones or are they going to be layered undernearth already released content?

My prediction is that dark brotherhood and thieves guild will have new zones tied to them. Maybe one or two smaller ones?

Or they just be everywhere you have access to. I would love daily thieves guild quests. Something similar that thieves guild offered in skyrim, small simple thieving quests.

Having a zone ASSOCIATED with them is fine. Having all the thieves guild and dark brotherhood content confined to that zone is not fine. That would be far from fine.

If I had to guess I would say that the Dark Brotherhood is going to be tied into Mephala's Realm we've been seeing videos of and Thieves Guild might be tied into Abah's Landing that we've seen videos of. But those are next, what comes after those I am not sure. I am guessing Murkmire then Clockwork City

    Pulled this from UESP wiki.
Abah's Landing A city with Redguard architecture. Revealed in an episode of ESO Live. Datamined information suggests this could form part of the larger Thieves Guild update

Clockwork City The Clockwork City is a mechanical complex created by Sotha Sil, one of the living gods of Morrowind. Revealed in an episode of ESO Live.

Dark Brotherhood The Dark Brotherhood questline will be released as DLC, expected Q2 2016.

Mephala's Realm Mephala's Realm, the Spiral Skein, is a realm of Oblivion ruled over by the Daedric Prince Mephala. Revealed in an episode of ESO Live.

Murkmire Murkmire is a planned adventure zone, although it is unconfirmed whether it will be released as DLC or not.

Thieves Guild The Thieves Guild questline will be released as DLC, expected Q1 2016.

And also spell crafting, according to ZOS (I think Eric Wrobel) is still in play. He mentioned it in a ESO Live episode when speaking of a spell to restore stamina. The episode aired right around the time that Imperial City hit live.

They'll probably model the Fighter's and the Mage's guilds... so they will in turn just contain a few solo instances that you are teleported to.

Which is good news to the solo-whiners that want more solo content.

I never said they stop making content, I just said we have to wait for another major content. Thats the thing what I love about ESO design, they could add for example 4 weapon skill trees and give alot of fun for quite little effort, or just add two new ultimates could be fun too I just recently suggested what if they add Lich and Angel to Vampire and Werewolfs. Lich could be turret kind of thing, fast light attack form, slow and bad turning, maybe every time you click light attack, two or three bolts shoots etc. Angel's ultimate could be some Shield kind of thing.

I wonder what the next dlc will be, what it will bring to ESO and when should we expect it.

Murkmire with hopefully a change to all adventure zones for instance not making it group only for example since craglorn is an amazing zone but such a pain to enjoy its content.

Spellcrafing hopefully with some really cool location attatched to it, collage of winterhold perhaps or even just a cool looking mages tower somewhere, where you can craft yr spells.

Long shot I know but... HOUSING!

More importantly though consoles need a chat box added big time.

    Thoughts?

Housing would not only give people a lot to do but make them buttloads of cash. I've probably dropped 3k + in EQ2's cash shop over the last 2 years I played.

New gear is fun. Having to grind new v18 gear after using over a month to grind enough to afford the best v16 legendary gear is certainly not fun.

Yeah, I would take the DLC order of Dark Brotherhood and Thieves' Guild with a certain amount of flexibility. UESP can be wrong just like everyone else. If you listen, ZOS did not pin them to a specific quarter. Instead, they said that the two of them would be in the first two quarters. Thieves' Guild might come first, but until ZOS comes out and says it, Dark Brotherhood might come first.

I also want to say that the community tends to equate "content" with new dirt to trod upon, but ZOS does not limit themselves to that definition. They are perfectly fine with "content" that adds new capabilities without adding new lands to explore. The Dark Brotherhood and Thieves' Guild DLC may be just overlaid on top of the existing world.

It was.... they said it was 'on the backburner'...... but then over the last month or two they have said on a couple of occasions that its back on the agenda and IS being worked on. Saw comments from Jess & Gina saying exactly that but can't remember where. One was on here, the other was on an ESO live I think.

They claim they are going to be able to release content every quarter. But with a single zone taking 5-6 months to design and build before even laying in the ground work for quests. I doubt they can provide us a new zone every quarter.

I don't know if they will produce content every quarter, but the time it takes to produce content is not an impediment to this. In any large development project you have a rolling schedule. The writers & artists are working on the next, next thing while the developers are working in the next thing and QE/QA is working on what's about to be released, etc.

I would guess they've started work on stuff that won't be released for a year.

Here I thought it was fun to have new levels to get and new gear to get every now and again. What are they supposed to do? Stagnate the game?

They should have released it for pc only at the time.

Everything is still new on console. A lot hadn't got to 14, done trials, all the pledges, craglorn.

Those sho got to 14 used all mats on end game armor then within weeks it was redundant.

We could have waited another month or so.

Don't know what you're talking about. Console players already complain about the delay between PC and console updates...

That was only due to consoles, they said theyre going for quarterly now, aka every few months.

My guess is around march/april for thieves guild/dark brotherhood

They also said IC was suppose to come out sometime ago, they also said the game wouldn't go buy to play, they also said they would remove veteran ranks, see where im going with this....

I think the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood will work like the Fighters and Mages Guilds. Most of the content will be built into the existing zones, while there will be a few small new areas (like the solo instances the quests take place in), plus one central "sanctuary" for each. Also, I fixed UESP so that now both TG and DB say "Q1 or Q2".
