So why do you insist on putting books just out of reach where you need to rely on platform jumping with your crumby jump mechanics?

Seriously. Took me 5 minutes to get up there. After 2 minutes I had to go outside and walk around to cool off, then come back and try again. You end up getting near it, then he falls sideways like some kind of drunk person.

Please, in future, put stairs there for the jumping impaired. We're people too.

    The gravity mechanics are terrible in this game. So often when you try to just step off a ledge, you will fall at an angle that takes you farther and farther away from the edge.

    Nah, I looked all around that entire platform. The only entrance seemed to be jumping on those conveniently placed walls

    But mountain-climbing where you're not supposed to by jumping up things is a ZOS/Bethesda specialty!

    Exactly! Man, I got so angry. He'd put one foot on the ledge, then fall to the right and in between a bunch of those rock things, so I had to keep walking around to try again

    I'll see if I can find it again. Oh! I also need to show you this new one I found just now. There were some boats around these docks, and a lorebook was in one of the boats. You had to jump down to get it, but there was no way back up (it's like a 5-6 meter drop).
    Obviously trying to swim back to shore got me the slaughtered achievement. ZOS are trolls man. Just trolls.

    So in theory, you dont have to take this one if you dont want to jump.

    Looks like an apple tree... So you can pick apples and gain strength before you make the giant jump (that will most likely fail and you fall to your death).

    Edit: I think that there are multiple lorebooks around Tamriel because the lorebook addon showed that I'd already collected this book, although I had never even been in that place before (I also had no lorebook on the wall there).

    There was a chest in Grahtwood, I believe, that was sitting up on some roots of a big tree. I must have spent about 5-10 minutes trying to get to it before I just gave up... Escape Bolt would have been useful, but I didn't have it at the time...

    Still nowhere nearly as bad as the GW2 jumping puzzles.
    Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

    I came across a chest in reapers march today that involved me jumping over the tiniest rock...with a very tall 3D box on it :/ I gave up after a few minutes because I was doing a quest, but I know the pain now
