I'm on Ps4 so I only have the forums to go off of, so let's see if the forums agree that Vetmaelstrom arena should or should not have a checkpoint based on the healthy amount of gaming hours. post in comments how long Vetmaelstrom took you or a friend to complete to see if your answer coincides

It depends on your school/work/social life tbh. Have a full time job with 2 teens and a newborn? 10 minutes a day :p If you're a single, young adult, 9-5 job? 4-5 hours a day.

I actually average about 3 per day and about 8 on weekends, but then again, sometimes life gets in the way.

Do you still remember what rain smells like? What the sun feels like on your skin? The sound of birds early in the morning?

If so, you can safely up your gaming dosage ...

I have been told 2 to 3 is a healthy amount.

But being told to play videogames X amount of hours is like being told to eat only proper serving sizes filled with organic foods if you want to eat healthy.

I have to disagree. Eye to hand coordination, problem solving, teamwork, all of these things and more can be improved by gaming.

I have had this discussion with family and friends that are not gamers. They are always amazed at how much I can play.

Then I ask them how much TV they sit and veg out to with no thought or movement at all lol. Then they pause for a moment and say, 'I guess I see your point' LOL

My gaming time has to compete with my other hobbies which are HEMA (sword fighting) and riding my horse. So most of my game time is either in bad weather or when it is dark.

If you ask about "healthy", under one hour is the answer. I don't play every day and during variable lengths of time, from one hour to four or five, when I'm lucky and everything goes right.

I work a lot and get time for a couple of hours a day, so I voted to within the time constraints of what I can play.

Occasionally more at the weekends, and I will splurge very very occasionally on a Saturday and have a 4 - 5 hour session.

My group always complained they could hear the bird in my mic when I spoke so I killed it. And yes, I do know what the sun and rain smell/feel like. I just bought fallout 4. That's close enough, right?

There is no 'Healthy' amount of hours played, only the enoyables. There might be an unhealthy amount though, even that is relative to your social activities.

Phycology tests have been made that state up to 3 hours a day its healthy and that people that play between one and 3 hours a day tend to be better adjusted and able to cope with adverse situations better than those that don't play. 3 hours plus a day tends to start having a negative affect on personalities and coping skills. According to some education magazine that got sent home from my sons school a couple of weeks ago.

Bomb bomb. Exactly. Have had similar conversations and have provided similar responses. Now my statement is "video games over movies." whenever a scene in a movie occurs in which I would do something much better, I say out loud, video games over movies. When that person begins to walk up to the dead body without checking their surroundings, or when that teammate gets injured and keeps it private instead of informing the team, video games over movies.
As many hours as it takes to accomplish the Tamriel goals while maintaining hygiene and this worlds' resource priorities. 3 is my current high. Am looking forward to growing that amount.

Yeah I think the OP is saying that 'Due To Health and Safety, something that takes THIS LONG at a sitting to complete, should have checkpoints'

If it takes MOST people x hours or more to complete, then checkpoints will have to be added anyway bcause saying 'log off and start over' would be 'unfair.'

Isn't that what you're getting at?

I personally have no pony in this race - so I am just guessing that this is what the OP is getting at.

Studies have also shown that young children develop reading skills very quickly from video games. Makes sense with all that text and incentive to know whats going on.

You can play until you have to peel your self off the chair or couch.

But, you should go for a nice brisk walk in the real world for at least 30 minutes to an hour a day if you otherwise get no other exercise.
