They need to stop selling us the actual game bit by bit and release a full scaled expansion once a year with true game improvements and additional stuff to improve the core game. yes I'm talking about stuff like housing, random events, guild vs guild or arenas. Or even underwater content. This will be the first TES game that we'll be paying extra for thieves guild and dark brotherhood. You'll see that.
And youd be back in here in four months time to complain about a lack of content with the rest of the people demanding content.
Its about time you caught up with the times. MMOs launched after WoW are expected to drop new content regularly. Every 4 months is actually an amazingly fast turn around. Other MMOs, youd be lucky to see new content twice a year. And with ESO you dont even have to outright buy the DLC. Simply sub up.
You either sub up or pay equal amont of money to DLCs once in 4 months.
And I repeat, these DLCs are not expansions. Imperial city is a circular map, you kill each other, camp gates and grief other players + 2 dungeons. No real base game improvement and additional mechanics.
Orsinium is a questing area focused on single player experience gives you 1 solo dungeon. PC players get console controls. Other than that still no base game improvements.
So far we paid about 40 euros. (I know imperial city is 2500 crowns, good luck buying 2500 crowns you have only option to buy 3000)
Guild wars 2 expansion heart of thorns is 45 euros.
gigantic open world.
new ways to travels gliders and stuff.
guild halls that you can even decide what music theme would play in it.
new class
new ways to communicate with guildies.
update to class system
pvp pve stuff.
I really can't count everything they gave because it's ridiculously big + made the base game free for everyone.

At this point, I really don't care how long it will take for them to bring content to me. I care how much money I spent and what did I get. Regarding that point of view, which is the most of the gamers don't really care, I'm sorry to say but ZoS is ripping us off compared to other games' expansions' pricing. And they got some nerve to appear on ESO live stuff and say, nope we can't do this. We can't do that to players demanding basic requests like brining text chat to console.
Damn, some people are just picky, I think IC and Orsinium Duo was most awesome thing ever.
I gave up on this game couple of months ago due to no endgame content for solo/duo players and terrible cyrodil performance.
Imperial city made me come back, orsinium makes me stay
So while people are wondering why no more group content, others left because of craglorn, you have craglorn, you have all the repeatable dungeons, let us have some solo content please
Group-lovers like you had THREE updates dedicated to your minority interest last autumn and again more recently with IC, Orsinium is the FIRST non-1990s-group-or-die content SINCE RELEASE!DatNutrient wrote: »To me, Orsinium is looking like a bear, some armor styles, maelstrom, and a questing area.
I do not enjoy questing for the most part. Most people I play with don't either. White gold is challenging for mny ps4 players but not unachievable but its apparently getting ANOTHER nerf.
I pray for a PvP dlc after Orsinium because IC was pve dlc.

IC madena huge amount of the player base quit. I personally enjoy it, but many did not. My guild is almost empty as a result of the patch.
So now that Orsinium is closing it it is being called the PVE patch.
Am I the only one frustrated by the lack of group content being released? Why is it that we need to release content in pieces instead of a patch that addresses a lot of things and really refreshes the game.

I really doubt that IC is the sole reason they quit. More than likely is that they're planning to either quit or go hiatus, but decide to see what IC got to offer first before actually doing it.
The problem with IC that i see and don't like myself is the forced mixed of PvE and PvP. The way i see it, they tried to cattter to people request of PvP on PvE area, but on the wrong way. People, including me, was asking for them to make dueling on PvE area available, but what they seem to not understand is that we're not asking for forced PvP on PvE, we're asking for an option to actually challenge friendly players of the same faction to do duel just anywhere on the PvE safe area.
So, the problem of course started when they implement the system of forced mix PvP and PvE on IC, which raised a lot of not so funny moment of frustration on players. There are times on PTS when enemy faction literally waiting on the faction sewer gate just to jump on anyone coming out, it's disastrous. No one think it's fun to fight an overpowered dremoras while ambushed by other faction players who intentionally waiting for us to pull those dremoras aggro...well, except those ambusher. If not for IC new cool looking armor sets, i won't play IC at all myself.DatNutrient wrote: »To me, Orsinium is looking like a bear, some armor styles, maelstrom, and a questing area.

I think that's the root of the problem for you, added to your lack of understanding of differences on content expectation and prefferences of different players. Did you forget that it is a TES game? Their real target market on ESO is actually players who like both MMO and TES, not players who just like TES single player or just MMO. With TES, came the questing heavy games.
Ask yourself this...why shouldn't people who want more solo quests on ESO get DLC update on it? The same answer is applied if we're asked why shouldn't people who want more group contents get it. The answer for me is clear, we should all have the chance to get DLC that catter to what we're looking for on the game. Now it's just a matter of which came first and which came later. For the first DLC, obviously that's more of a PvP content upgrade, though i got to admit it's almost a complete failure on many aspects. The second one, Orsinium, will be PvE solo content upgrade, we should all be happy to those who want solo content. Lets hope the next one making it for group content. Just don't forced every updates to catter to your group prefferences.DatNutrient wrote: »I'm not going to quit over it but it would be nice to get some real new content instead of a solo version of DSA, some new armor styles, a bear, and snowy craglorn.
That's very egotistical. So basically you're saying people who like solo content should just suck it up with no DLC updates at all? very egotistical...if your friends were having the same way of thinking as you...sorry to say, i'm kinda glad they leave if that's the case :P

I do not know what each upcoming DLC will entail but I would not hold my breath on a PvP DLC as Zenimax stated they have no plans for small-scale PvP anytime in the near future. This is only speculation, though and I could be mistaken, but still...

They're so hard on making everything original that they refuse to add the feature to do duel PvP with players of the same faction. I don't know what other reason than that for them to refuse something that simple and actually working great. That's my only regret with this game...that we need to find a cross faction friend to go to quite places on Cyrodiil just to do duel, which after one duel finished with death, the waiting for the loser to go back to the spot is tiring. Instead, they mixed PvE and PvP...such a failure.
ZoS is catering to a distinct group of casuals and solo players at the moment. This will make the game die in the long run (Solo players are the fastest to come and leave again for new stuff). If they continue on this path it will be a disaster for the health of the game. I'm a big PVPer and am waiting for CU. There is a high possibility that a big chunk of the pop. (mostly pvpers) will leave if it is a good game - does not even have to be great at the current state of ESO. Also PVEers will move to new games with real endgame PVE if something comes up.
Except the game is buy-to-play, not free to play... And F2P games usually make you pay for ALL major expansions...

Yeah, usually solo players are people who are the fastest to come and go for new stuff on most MMOs. That's because most MMOs don't offer enough decent quests to begin with. I often times on MMOs just go to the quests and skip all the dialogues after few days, and then come the chore of getting more and more drop farming just to finish a quest.
There're two MMOs i played so far that i actually ever like the solo questing parts are SWTOR and ESO. That's why i would say the solo part on ESO is good and people who like the solo content here are actually amongst those who might stay long, other than those who just like to go PvP. The one who likely to come and go here are the one that don't like questing, don't like PvP much, and just want to go group content. The boring part though, it takes more than one year for them to throw the first and second DLC, i almost quit myself out of nothing much to do other than repeating dungeons and creating new chars.
