Hi my brother and I are currently sharing an account and I was wondering if it was possible to transfer his character to another account so that we can play with eachother?
It would require them to be able to unhook bank accounts from the character. Then there would be the problem of power-levelers selling their characters.
in Eve online you are able to transfer characters and yes people do sell them, but they sell them with in-game money and if caught being sold by real money then the character is terminated. And unhooking bank accounts would be like the character removes what he needs then make transfer or else lost in bank and just move bank to other character
I'm of the same ilk here, I currently play on my brothers account until I can afford my own so we can co-op one day soon. I recently contacted the support staff and was told there is no immediate plans to create a character transfer service between accounts, but if the demand is high enough they will consider it.
It was implemented on World of Warcraft where I had done the same thing, I'd hate to start my character from scratch again regardless of any power-leveling or terms breaking issues that may stand in the way but it's purely dependent on how many people are in the same predicament.
The terms of service state that you cannot share accounts in that fashion.
I'm not sure about how it works with minors (I don't and will not ever have any children so that's a moot point to me)...but most MMO's have a provision that allows a parent to share an account with 1 minor child, and then it is possible to transfer the account to their name once they turn 18. I imagine that ESO is the same in that regard.
But aside from that, sharing accounts is a violation of the terms of service. :P
That might be useful.
I'd also love to be able to transfer whole account with characters\inventory\bank items to a different server, like from NA to EU. Like a single use feature. Or even maybe for a small real money fee.
Well, because, why not...
