Regular server maintenance is a standard for MMOs. Nearly every one of them has weekly maintenance. Don't see too many server crashes anymore. Dungeon grouping system works just not well enough for people to use, and long-term server outage for maintenance is uncommon.

WOW is down for most of the day every tuesday and has been since the dawn of time. This isn't abnormal, but every one acting like it's the end of the world.

I agree that ESO Plus Members should receive some compensation. $15 a month isn't a lot but multiply that by every ESO plus member and all the crown points that have bought and spent. How bought some crowns or something? At the end of the day there going to get them back anyways. Take care of the people who pay for a premium experience and get a sub par experience most the time.

To be honest, they should try to give us, for those who still sub, some in game items. Only reason I saying this is due to the fact you can't compete in Cyrodiil to possibly retake the Emp ring or earn points in general.

Agreed!!! I'm not gunna hold my breath, I'm pretty sure we won't be getting anything crowns or items. SAD...

Nope they said it was gunna be another 3 hours on top of the 6 they said they needed. Oh and lets not forget the other 6-7 hours yesterday morning.

In 30 minutes it will have been 8 hours, they said 6 hours tops. I need my daily ESO, going crazy over here. I've already worked, done the dishes, cleaned the apartment, begun my second job and finished my workout for today...

WHAT MORE DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO ZOS?!

Will contemplate upon my existence if this goes any further...

Jokes aside, the maintenance has gone on for an unusually long time today!

Just posted an update in the main thread, but unfortunately we need to extend maintenance until 6:00pm EDT today. As we mentioned yesterday, this is basically a preventative maintenance for the datacenter, and these upgrades need to be done in order to avoid running into issues in the future.

I'm not gunna say I called it but .... They knew it was gunna be all day but wanted to give us pipe dreams. Like I said earlier this seems like a bunch of BS they should have just gave us the truth about how long they were going to be "upgrading". I feel bad for the people who only get limited playing time or have the day off. Thanks ZOS!!!

LOL!! They said 6 hours then changed it to 9 hours now its 14 hours. They will put the server online when they feel like it maybe it will be up by Halloween. That way we can all where there Halloween Costume Morphs we bought!!! Trick or Treat !!

The game back online time keeps receding into the distant future. Oh well.

I'd also like to see the loading times when you enter another zone sped up. Made quicker. That might not be a problem on the Zenimax end of things, though.

As someone whose ISP connection is "DSL Light" and must use a computer without a video card, I'm used to lagging game play, even on the minimum graphics resolution, starting about 5pm and continuing until about 1am, being especially bad around the middle of that time (9pm EDT). During the laggy time, I switch to my farm-and-craft character and use the multicraft mod so I don't have to wear out my R key at the cookfire.

I do riskier stuff with my other main character from 1am until I'm too tired to play anymore, sometime after sunrise IRL.

The other big thing I'd like Zenimax to fix, if possible, is the delay in in-game mail delivery. You can speed up the mail by logging off and back on, or by wayshrining to another zone and back, but this is tedious - partly because of the long-wait loading screens.
