OP! This is great news to me!

I have to reformat my PS3 tonight to clean it up (playing FNV and it's driving me nuts).

Time for me to create a new mage on the EU and play again.

No NA for me. I want it really, really empty with nice people that don't think that playing exactly the way they think you should play is the only way to play.

Besides - there's not so much background noise.

Maybe now I can actually fight something and join some groups that aren't full of the overblown.

I think IC as a PvP/PvE hybrid is pretty cool. Finally something different for once, not everything has to be so black and white.

IC was just an awful update, sure most of the PVP NBs like it because they have a huge advantage but beyond that, it really isn't all that fun. And to the people saying people left because you can't one shot anyone, is that why the majority of the PVE community disliked the IC zerg fest? People left because it was a terribly implemented idea that gave one class a huge advantage above others.

Yes but you are not taking into account two things.
    1. PvP players may not be and probably aren't the majority in this game.
    2. Only a small percentage of a games player base use the forums. Even less post on them.

    Erm..

The only "End Game Content" for ESO IS PvP so that statement is kinda crazy!
That statement is even more crazy,

    How so?

Everything in the main story is about "WAR" between factions.. The game itself is trying to get you to learn the reason behind the faction wars. You are thrown into each story in silver/gold just to learn more about what?..... PVP! Faction War..

So exactly how is my statement "Even more crazy"?

THAT statement is both factually untrue (Parenthetically, I think the main story is about everything but the faction war...) and crazy....

Hah, people just feel less fun when see that mess. :/
But we still waiting for better days. :3

    Quoted for truth.
My entire guilds gone now. Even the die hard fan boys of the franchise just said funk it. It's turned into a grind fest, lock box pay store game. Exactly what they said it wasn't going to be. Living world? I still hear the same old npc saying the same old things since beta.

Seriously, anyone who leaves the game because of "lock box pay store" is leaving for other reasons. I can see grind fest, particularly in people who tend to grind. Some people leave for other games when they become a grind, and game grinds are hardly rare.

You're right. Other reasons are constant lag, disconnects with more disconnects, loading screens that never end broken abilities that go unfixed for half a year, glitches, exploiting going unpunished immediately. Sure, most complaints are personal opinions, but when over three hundred players join, play, come to the same conclusion, then leave.. There must be something going on.
Only reason I'm still around is I get a kick from all the crazy stuff they do and want to see things play out. Like removing vet levels by adding more of them, or if they ever implement the things they said they would almost two years ago. I can't wait for the thieves guild, and dark brotherhood. I also can't wait to see how much they will milk us for it.

Funny thing is that every single other game I play online works flawlessly. This one is just a pain.

Just to support your opinion - started playing gw2 with new expansion. Huge amount of content new specialization for every class and a completely new clas itself. That amount of code is bound to have some bugs. But 3-4 h into game after HoT launch i get a message in game "New version of client available. Please log off to download".Did just that, downloaded 120 mb patch and from notes over 30 bugs were fixed. Not that i stumbled upon any of it yet but still. And no server downtime at all.

Can we imagine above in ESO?

Wow 30 bugs fixed in gw2.

Eso is still in the hundreds and rising.lol

They were always good at fixing bugs quickly from what I can remember. Some other things they were terrible at. Hell, there was only one spec to use that made sense on all classes since launch. Maybe the dlc fixed that though. That and the fact that the game plays like a casual dress up sim/babies first mmo.

Man, there sure are some PvE warriors on this forum. I wonder if they LARP it up and arm themselves before posting.
BTW, PvE warriors ... please stream some trials or something PvE so ESO has more than just PvP streams on twitch.

See, unfortunately, the personality profile of a PvP'er very closely mirrors that of a streamer... I am floating the idea of a PvE/pledge/static group channel on Twitch that caters to the PvE/true adventurer... I am also disappointed in the seeming requirement to drop F-bombs and other profanity to stream ESO... This will also not be a thing on my channel... I am searching for talent to feature on my stream, as well as suggestions which I can forward to potential sponsors. Please contact me in game @Sting864
BTW, I run the PC/MAC version, so consoles are welcome to send suggestions; however, I can't group w/you....

Most of my guild mates left during the last two months. Those still there complain about performance and stability issues. The game is unplayable at times. On top of the formerly bad latency we now have bad frame rates and ridiculous loading screens since IC, and the crashes / game freezes are back as well since the last incremental patch. The content you like or not, everybody has his prefrerences. But the stability issues are just not fun.

Orsinium will be the last chance for ZOS to fix these issues, or even more will leave. Especially since Orsinium doesn't have classic MMO content, but is focused on single player. There are a lot of single player games around, we don't need ESO turning into another one of those.

Since IC update I often log in and immediately regret that and quit to play another game. Lag, too much grind, too much rng, class imbalance, list can go on and on. I do not enjoy game anymore and only reason why I haven't left is becouse there currently isn't other mmo that grabs my interest..

I hear a lot of people say this. When people say "ESO is the best current MMO" I have to wonder if that's actual praise for the game, or more of a comment on how far the MMO industry has fallen.

I really believe to many people are broke up in this game. If you think about it. We have no real public events. Every single MMO i have played over the years have this big public event mass people flock to. But with the way the VR's are and how quests are instanced. Think of this as like Guild Wars 2, we have no like big spawn boss everyone tries to take down. Nothing gets the community together in this game at all.

I think this is one of the areas where ZOS dropped the ball the hardest: fostering community and social interaction. In-game events and social tools make an MMO come alive. One of my fondest memories of UO was the undead attack on Trinsic. As a small example, someone suggested some time ago that the anchors could be bigger events - over time they grow and spread out, perhaps taking over a nearby village, until enough people group together to beat them back and destroy the anchor. As they are currently implemented, anchors are extremely repetitive and dull, which is a real shame considering the actual core concept has vast potential to be interesting and fun.

But, yeah, as someone mentioned, the megaserver and instanced content makes it very difficult to implement things like this.

PvPers have been complaining ever since PC launch, mostly about lag and balancing issues, but also for a while about the lack of new content, and then when the new content came along they complained about how they didn't like it. They told PvEers not to criticise the IC DLC because it was for them and the PvE DLC would come next, and now they're complaining they don't like Orsinium because there's no PvP. Put simply, PvPers are never satisfied - which is understandable given that by the very nature of PvP most of them die a lot and want something to blame it on other than their lack of skill relative to others. 'Twas ever thus...

Truth. I didnt want to say it,but it's true.PvPers just cannot be satisfied.

    hey i may be wrong.

some of my friends had rage-quitted when they saw huge damage reduction and lesser shield strength and oter awesome mmos are also coming like BDO, Blade and soul ... I can't really see the future of TESO lol ! with lag , poor graphics(compared to the inc new mmos), bugs, longer waiting at the loading screen, TESO is destined to be doomed .

IC blowed chunks, didnt deliver anything that it promised from all the hype, ive been like twice, and i dont feel like im missing anything.

there was no real soloable content in it, it was all zerg pvp content, great, if you like that sort of thing, i dont.

i spent most of my time avoiding grouped mobs because they hit to hard and came in threes and fours, it was just too much effort to kill anything, especially with the pvp nerfs affecting IC aswell.

Orsinium will improve the game i hope, solo content, thats what most console players want, the game isnt set up properly for console grouping, the finder is awful, no one uses microphone other than to annoy you with shite music or sounds of their brat crying to attention, the console would do better with text chat, the sooner the better.

I felt like that the first few times I went into IC too, however, I gave it another go, and mostly it's been a fun positive experience.

I now usually go in with a couple of mates, enough to be able to not worry too much about gankers, but not too many to be a zergball (and zergs are definitely fewer in IC now in my experience)

I can even go in solo and handle all mobs (no bosses yet tho!) with a VR 16 Leech type build (NB natch) although my one and only attempt with a stam NB didn't go nearly as well. Haven't attempted with stam sorc yet but will give it a go once I've got enough stones to pimp it out a bit more.

I do run into occasional gankers, some I win some I lose, the ones I lose make the fights overall more exciting and rewarding when I do win.

To anyone who initially brushed off IC I'd suggest give it another go (or three), stay near your own base at first, you'll get to know the wandering boss patterns and also the places most likely to hold enemy gankers, sure you won;t win every fight, but the first time you do it will be worth it :)

IC has been nothing but a boring grind of killing the same mobs over and over. The only ones who go in there are players trying to level or players trying to make coin. They have absolutely no desire to pvp, just pve. And then you have a few pvp'rs who know this but think it's fun to gank them. All is fair in a "pvp" zone, right?

Unfortunately, pve'rs leave when the pvp'rs come. And then the pvp'rs complain there is no one there. It just doesn't mesh.

Thank you 4 saying this on ps4 theirs only 2 servers that pvp in ic thats azura star and chillrend the rest are 4 sewer/arena gank or dead seriously. I wish their was a zone with a king of the hill type game play and a few less adds and scoring effected the campaign.

IC scoring should affect the campaign in some campaigns, something needs 2 be done eso pvp will take a hit next month orsinum will make the pve'ers leave ic

That was mybad. Now, I don't have the 3x bucks for the next update.

I'll repeat this endlessly: for me, the last patches turned the game into "work", instead it was more "fun" before!

My second point is the playability and accessability of ESO: my suspicion is that the game developers listened to the "wrong guys". That is the powergamers on the test server and their suggestions, which did not well for the future of the game... It seems to me that ZOS listened too much to those testserver-guys, making the game harder, introducing more imbalanced stuff, widening the gap of player equipment, lessening the drop-chance, etc.

I also think that testserver-players should only report bugs, they should not be taken into consideration concerning the difficulty of dungeons, for example. That seems to be what happened. The progamer on the Testserver to ZOS: "Hey! The dungeons are too easy! Make them hard! The drop rates are too good, reduce them!" etc.. :/
