Should Cyrodiil have more objectives than the Keeps and Resources?

I hear a lot of suggestions to put PvP objectives all over the map, but not a lot of suggestions on what that would include. Who likes the idea of increased objectives and who has ideas on what they could be?

    Cyrodiil is fine with just the Keeps, Resources, and Scrolls as objectives.
    Im getting tired of the old same Castles, I think the resources and castles themselves are the problem and they need to improve them to make them more interesting. More variety to Castles, Castle Upgrades so Cyrodil would be more dynamic, like Aleswell could have 4 different Castles variance. Also own siege weapons for each alliance wouldnt hurt, and not to mention add stuff like Ladders, Mammoth Gate Destroyer, Siege Tower. Also the landscape itself is quite boring.

    Speaking of Cyrodil, I think they should get rid off everything what causes lag and turn it into F2P game, lure them in with free PVP and then offer upgrade to full game. I bet theres tons of people who would love to play Cyrodil exclusively.

    ZOS has already shared that they cannot add more as there is a limit of how many things can appear on the map.

    They took deer out of Cyrodiil because their crappy system couldn't handle large scale pvp without falling over. Hell, the 'great' Imperial City ended up being a series of small, instanced rooms which was probably also a design choice pertaining to performance.

    As nice as extra objectives would be, what makes you think their system could handle even the slightest addition?

    I only recently entered Cyrodiil and for the first time I really felt like this was an Elder Scrolls game due to the massive landscape you can run around in. I'd love if Cyrodiil got more attention in terms of performance optimizations and whatever else, it deserves it.

    I just kind of wish the fighters guild bounty passive would have made you go after a specific player in an enemy faction. (It would also mark him on your map, the only thing non-resource/fort/home bases etc marked without going to the Wayshrine in pvp.)

    If the guy you're hunting logs off it just fails the quest and lets you get another.

    I was disappointed to see it be "Go kill Black Daggers"

    Otherwise I still find pvp fine as is.

    If there'll ever be more PvP content, It'll most likely be elsewhere and not in Cyrodiil due to performance reasons. :confused:

    I think most people would want more in Cyrodil but there is a difference between wanting more and knowing what would be useful add to the game and be enjoyable.

    More Objectives would thin players out. Im sure the Anti-Zerg Police would love this. But it would work against the goals of Cyrodiil when it comes to large scale.

    Players dont want a ton of objectives when they go into PvP they want to kill other players. This is why sometimes in other games objective based matches will devolve into two groups smashing against each other and one side losing because it put no effort in to actually play the objectives.

    The current set up is perfect. You can choose to capture Resources to make your assault on the Keep easier or ignore it and make your assault slightly harder. And make more work for you post assault as youll have to sweep those Resources up or leave them in the possession of your enemy that may come in and counter assault the Keep and take it back.

    It gives players just enough to focus to keep the large groups together and not spread out crossing their fingers for a gank in the middle of no where.

    I'm a big fan of the idea of small scale pvp since I really don't do PvP, want to try, but get overwhelmed by the sheer number of players that I see. More objectives that I could learn the ropes on would do wonders for my experience.

    Yes!!! Cyrodiil is a very large zone with a lot of empty space that could be utilized to make a better overall pvp experience for everyone!! I posted this before but I will leave it here as well -

    "What they really need to do is to add in more pvp objectives to keep everyone busy. Objectives for the small 4 man groups to the large zergs. Each keep should have a keep lord that has a chance to drop rare motifs/recipes/etc if defeated and to keep players from Castle swapping just for the swag then each time a keep is defended players can talk to the keep lord for a special quest leading to a treasure of sorts. As for the small scale groups, well you notice how every keep has a farm/lumber mill/ mine? Where does all that stuff go to.. other than the obvious (to the keep it belongs to).. well how about if all of those places instead sent out a caravan headed towards a place near the bases. If you successfully take down a caravan then you are rewarded with it's spoils and on the flip side if you happen to successfully escort a caravan to it's location then you are rewarded as well. These caravans could be carrying gold/crafting mats/special pets... heck pretty much anything!!"

    Do you know what's fun? PvPing around the random towns scattered across Cyrodiil while questing. It's like being in IC, but 100 times better.
    Get rid of sieges, get rid of knocking down walls. Add small objectives that must be completed in several towns to unlock the main gate. This causes each faction to split up and run around these towns to chase down the objectives required. As an added bonus, I'd foresee more small-scale fights until it comes to everyone rushing back to the keep.
    I'm just so bored of sieges and walls. So very bored. I just want more fighting.

    @Hammy01 your suggestions are well thought out. They don't seem particularly difficult from the point of view of increasing lag, and they would add a fun extra dimension to what has become really a one-dimensional experience in Cyrodiil PvP. I was very disappointed that ZoS didn't tie IC PvP to above-ground Cyrodiil PvP in some way.

    I think there does need to be as I have seen random large scale fights over things like bridges or occasionally around the towns in Cyrodill. But really I think they need to adjust how meaningful it is to take something like a resource, make holding it allow for more people if say it was a farm. More siege if it was a lumber mill, then make it easier to repair walls if you have the mine. Something like that, I and many others where disappointed with Imperial City and really it is dead there now, I ground out a champion point this morning and saw maybe 4-5 people the entire time. So all that work and I for see it becoming a dead zone rarely visited. Plus the whole TV and vault systems just doesn't really excite me to spend my time there.

    Being able to level up you castles and resources would be cool if they could balance it with ways to level up you siege as well. As far as objectives, Id like to see the ones they have be smarter to encourage lone wolf and groups alike to target strategic keeps and resources instead of just being the random, scattering of objectives that are ten broken links away.

    They dont need to even construct anything else. Set a time where in the delves or cities a small objective is present. Maybe give a small amount of points for a point campaign, maybe a buff for scroll ones? Delves could limit the number players from each faction and could start after a set amount of time. Maybe deathmatch or something and whichever faction wins gets the bonus. The cities could be king of the hill or something with option for a little bigger groups. If the reward is good but far off from main keeps the zergs wont come for them. Creates some small-scale pvp.

    Id like bandit war camps. Somthing you can capture between keeps and have as a safe place to retreat to.


    Or just towers around the map that you can capture. Then proceed to use siege or long range attacks. This should be located between Keeps.


    Id like more houses along the lines of keeps. Where are the villagers? Just random keeps everywhere does not make any sense.

    Yes, there needs to be more. But... it doesn't all have to be on the map exactly. It doesn't even have to be just this "core" cyrodil... there are more regions we know from TES:Oblivion that are not yet in ESO - colovian highlands to gold coast, or nibenay to blackwood... might get added someday. At which time they might provide this "more" we would want...

    That's map markers, not things in the world. They could easily get around that by splitting the Cyrodiil map into three sections, thus tripling the amount of icons they can use.

    That would be illogical. The Fighters Guild has no stake in the Alliance War.

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler has said before that they would like to add more objectives to Cyrodiil. Suggestions have included CtF in Cheydinhal, Murderball in Chorrol, and things along those lines.

    I would be sooooo happy if I could play the current objectives/content without high ping, low fps and overall a crap performance.

    If ZoS would add more stuff into Cyrodiil they would most likely break it completely.
