There will be some kagouti added outside EP in the next patch, but I don't recall if netches are being added too. After farming the last 18.. I'm now down to 2. Bull Netches and Kagouti. Beside some lonely Netches in Coldharbour they are only available in low level regions for my EP char. After hunting them for days I'm convinced that they don't drop on low level.
I need some feedback here.. because asking the support is self-mutilation and a complete waste of time.
(the most likely anwer would be anyway: deactivate your addons)
PS: Does anybody know if the Netches item drops from Betty and Bull Netches? Heard a rumor that only Bull Netches count.

We’d like to provide a little insight and clarification on the upcoming changes to collectibles.
Currently, collectible trophies work differently for those obtained via fishing versus those obtained via monster kills. Fishing trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon item pick-up, whereas monster-kill trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon use. This difference was resulting in a high volume of bug reports and feedback in which players thought the collectible trophies were broken. That combined with the availability being limited by level-range prompted us to make the system more intuitive and uniform. That’s where the upcoming changes come in.
So what do those changes consist of? Here’s a short list:We hope that helps clarify the changes. Please let us know if you have any questions!
- All collectible trophies will now grant the associated achievement when the item is first looted.
- Monster trophies will always drop off appropriate level monsters for your character. A game-wide audit was done to make sure that no matter what level you are, there is always a place you can go to work on collecting the trophy you are looking for.
- Collectible trophies can no longer be banked and traded to another character.

The 5 level range was changed. You can read about them in this topic too. They should be dropable without any level dependencies.. That's what they told us in the patch notes.ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »Hi everyone,

But I'm convinced they bugged it. Wouldn't be the first time they screw up such easy things. That's why I want a confirmation that someone got one of a low level character.

I don't think that's right. In your quote: "Monster trophies will always drop off appropriate level monster for your character." (my emphasis). If it were as you say, the patch notes would read something like "drop off any monster".

Sometimes I have to grind an area for 3 hours straight before I get the drop, so I can see that getting frustrating for other players who want to grind a spot for other reasons. Thankfully, it's not come up *too* often, except in lower level places like Coldharbour. Though the other day, when someone shouted at me, I politely explained to them in PM that I was fighting the RNG, and they were more understanding and left me alone for an hour.Ourorboros wrote: »Another reason to make trophies bankable again: I'm frequently finding people shouting at me for grinding in "their" areas when I'm "overleveled" for said area. You paid for the game, same as them, sub or not. You have every right to be anywhere you want, and they can suck eggs if they don't like it. Best advice is ignore them or tell them to complain to ZOS, since you wouldn't be farming that area if you didn't have to.
It would still be needed. The biggest kick in the bits about this change is the inability to transfer the items between characters on the same account. I hate that I have collectibles on alts that my main achievement-seeking character needs.Ourorboros wrote: »Exactly right, 5-level rule is still in effect. Given the already extreme challenge of getting these achievements, this change was completely unnecessary and totally anti-player. They need to revert this horrible change, and put things back to how they were. Until that happens, they are going to continue to have a lot of ticked-off achievement hunters.
Ticking off your most loyal players is not a smart business move, ZOS...
I understand what you are saying, and you are correct. We wouldn't need the ability to transfer between characters, if we could go back and farm the items from lower level mobs, but that doesn't mean there's no reason to re-allow it. I would also agree that they should remove the 5-level rule for collectibles. I'm just saying that that alone wouldn't make it as nice as it was before.Ourorboros wrote: »It would still be needed. If there was no 5-level rule, you wouldn't need to use alts and bank transfers. You could go anywhere in the game with high population levels and grind away. One of the biggest reasons, maybe the only reason, for needing the bank transfer method is how quickly you advance in level from 1-50. Combined with the collectible drop rate, it is far too easy to out-level a monster without getting a drop. Then factor in that collectibles were broken until after early players were already vets, and out-leveled home alliance drops before the collectible system even worked. Using altls and transfers was just a work-around to deal with the 5-level rule.
Bottom line, they really should do both. Make them bank transferable, and remove the 5-level rule.
That pretty much sums it up perfectly.Ourorboros wrote: »ZOS managed to find the absolute worst way to address confusion about using collectibles, confusion they introduced by making changes on consoles without disclosing them.
