I wish people were motivated enough to fight the power lol. @ZOS_RichLambert
I created a Twitch account and upgraded it to Turbo for the sole purpose of watching my first ESO live. Consider me dissapointed. We had about 15 minutes of rehashing topics that were already known and understood by most of active players and the rest of the segment was devoted to Osrinium artwork.
There was practically zero interacting between ZoS and the community watching the stream and you could see a rapid dropoff of users from 1250 to 700 after 30 minutes of artwork shots. I talked to and listened to a ton of players who mentioned the podcast afterward and they were universally disappointed, many of them even angry.
I've got no problem with the art team (They're the reason ESO is one of the best looking RPGs out there) and showing their work, but that at most is going to keep people entertained for 15-20 minutes. Most people who are watching the Twitch stream have a lot of questions and are interested in the future of the game and the direction it is headed. The only piece of information that we learned in that stream that I recall was the seasonal cap is probably going to be every quarter and will raise the CP cap by ~200 points or so. Beyond that, everything was old news and fluff.
I think if ZoS doesn't have significant content to publish for a podcast in the future, they should just not do the podcast. People will not mind. But it is clear from watching this podcast that it was just thrown together last minute (and evidenced by the art guy getting last minute permission from his wife to appear on the show). I hope you guys can improve on this in the future, there may have been other circumstances for the odd time and such that I'm unaware of that threw you off your game...

So please to not say "we" or "us" when you should say "I" because it's just your opinion and yours alone.
Why should they tolerate abuse in their job that no player would be willing to tolerate in his?
Twitch chat is why consoles can't have text chat...Kappa

While people may disagree with how those people are expressing themselves, they're expressing what they want. Its not like arenas is a new issue either. At this point if ZOS says theyre not working on it or dont want, its a failure to listen to their community. If you think those people spamming PvP arenas care about how you perceive their spamming, I can safely say they dont. That isnt something Ive seen a lot of on the stream before - its born out of frustration. People will spam because they dont feel theyre being heard. Its something I discussed on my stream last night and I understand it just as well.

Bot support, chat logss to confirm reported behavior, mute options, private channels... Yeah, text chat will be utterly toxic on consoles. [/sarcasm]

As for the chat... well that is the internet sometimes heh. You take the good with the bad and have to develop a pretty thick skin doing what we do. I did really appreciate a whisper from a certain person who apologized for some of the more "passionate" PVP folks though.
That is the problem growing thick skin and "#obamacare" for your players. You don't have to grown a thick skin for that just give people what they want entertain us like you should. Nobody wants to experience pain in virtual world we do have a whole lot in real world, so please do something about that.

The ESO dev team have 100 points into thick skinned.ZOS_RichLambert wrote: »@SleepyTroll Eric actually said the cap is 501 because we needed it to be evenly divisible by 3. (so stam builds don't get 1 extra CP over Magicka)

I talk about lots of good balance issues as well - they go unheard. The result is bad changes with unintended consequences. It is ZOS's product, but itd be more wise to work with your community than shut them out because you dont like the way theyve approached you. Theres been plenty of mature and patient suggestions/discussions on the issue. If they see ZOS doesnt care, they get frustrated. When they are frustrated, they riot. This is what twitch allows you to do - express yourself. Understandable you guys find it immature, but that is literally what twitch is, and thats the medium theyre using. Its the same medium that allows many people to come watch the very same streamers that end up selling copies of the game to potential buyers that come by and check the game out.
As @Ezareth mentioned - ESO live was pretty dull. The thing is, there was a podcast with as many viewers or more than ESO live on the game a week ago. ZOS was there (many of the devs, including those on ESO Live). They said they heard us, they were listening. They said the same thing in the stream last night to people spamming. Yet they only receive silence.
Hope that explains the behavior and mindset of those in chat.
Touché. Only half that but the point remains.

That's probably what you'll tell your children when you have some or what you've told them if you have some. I don't see how it should be different just because "we're on the internet". Rich Lambert saying "well, that's the internet" is the proper way to handle it in order not to feel personally fragilized but it is in no way an excuse for such behaviour.
Personally it makes me feel less and less enclined to accept or support anything or any kind of compromise towards the entire PvP crowd. And yes I know these kids are not representative of the entire PvP crowd but that's how it feels and that's the consequence of their behaviour.

No, the point does not remain. An abusive customer is never right. There's simply no reason for bad behaviour to others who are simply doing their job, and hiding behind the anonymity of the internet is no excuse whatsoever. If people had to post with their real identities they would think at least twice before making the sort of comments they make currently. Perhaps then those they are dealing with who are already posting with their real identities, including ZOS, would be more prepared to be open with them.
During my career in a service profession I more than once declined to act for an abusive client, and told such clients their approach was totally unacceptable. My business never suffered as a result, whereas my reputation would have suffered if I had yielded to their approach and considered them "always right", and my business with it.
