@CrowsDescend Funny you mention that because today on Xbox One I ganked two EP players who were farming on a EP dominated server, I think it is called moon something. I ended up with about 2k stones from both of them combined (I ganked one in the arena and one in the sewer area as a Stam DK)

The stone loss is much too high IMO. Went with a group to do some PvP in one of the districts last night and all 3 alliances were there going at it. Our group started doing well, stayed alive for a decent amount of time with good coordination. Then BAM one death and nearly all that effort erased. One death and almost nothing to show for it. What's the point?

It totally sucks the fun out of PvP. Should I head to the bank every 5m to bank my stones? Lame.

How much sense does it make that the safest/best way to farm in a PvP area is to go mob killing and avoid other players?

I wasn't even aware you could bank your stones!

    Nope. Sorc.

But I love small scale PvP and I love having PvE and PvP mixed. You're trying to do a quest, grind, whatever and you get attacked.

Any decent MMO (and other games) is all about balancing incentive, risk and reward.

    IC totally FUBARed the balance.

    Simple question:
What are gankers risking? They risk no stones and can take 80% of an hours worth of work in 5 seconds.
Their armour takes no damage and if they are killed, they can be back ganking in 15 seconds (districts).
It is profitable for them to go 1v5 just on the chance they kill a single player. Gankers can stake out tunnel
entrances, daily spots or the main base entrance where everyone must travel. No downside to ganking unless
    you actually have a soul.

If ZOS gave a cr@p about balance, gankers would have to carry 100 TV stones for every 10% they take from
a working class player. Face it, the Devs put this in because they like using their NBs to gank and have never
read about Loss Aversion (should be required reading for every game dev). When Orsinium arives, IC will be
    utterly abandoned.

You just had to say 2 NB and not 2 players. Like it's always the NB. And also putting DC in a bad light because you have to tell it was covenant.

But please, don't blame in on NB. I am a NB and I was also solo grinding to gather mats for crafting. When I engaged a ton of mobs spamming AoE I was ganked by a shielded, detonating, fragment spamming sorc EP. There was nothing I could do and I lost a few stones which isn't the issue but I had to run back looting the mobs I killed.

It happenes. It's PvP. You can expect this.

It is only about grinding, ganking and zerging.

All PvP players I know are already back in Cyrodiil
where you can find real gameplay instead of the IC nonsense.

For crafters, I really hope that Orsisium will fix the mess,
making V15/V16 mats available with reasonable fun again.

    Cannot agree with this more!

I came back to ESO when IC was released just to want to quit again :( and even though Orsinium seems cool, how am I gonna do anything alone when my gear is still rank 14 and I can't craft because I don't have the time to grind?? :/

You get the raw mats from nodes in Orsinium, and then refine them into the mats you need.

Some players are just too lazy to pvp ...

I read this and I laughed ... very hard.

You realize this is a game, right? You know? Like, that thing you do after you work for 35+ hours a week and then go to the university and study so you can eventually become a contributing member of society rather than some freak living in their parents' basement, talking about how they need "alone time," and mooching off their working friends - but all the while bragging about how freakin AWESOME they are ... at a video game.

But I'm sure that's not you. Really.

To the OP: That does suck. Particularly the part about leading the boss to drain your health. This is one of the reasons I won't spend a lot of time in the IC.

You realize the nodes are so rare in Orsinium that it is actually quicker to grind and decon mats from IC instead?

Plus in order to have a "Chance" to find those nodes in Orsinium you must have each of your crafting skills for each node at 10/10
Far too many characters to list any more.

2 Daggerfall players decide to stealth near my farming spot and wait for me to get low so they can gank me, which is fair, right? but what's annoying is that they purposely drag a boss into me, go stealth with NB cloak so I get aggro and then they gank me with the very last hit so that they get all my stones and run back off to base.

Why do you reward these type of players? why? I'm simply done with IC now and the polymorph of RNG isn't even worth the time.

confused-onion-head-emoticon.gif?1292862495 Let reverse... What would you do? If u see the enemy on farming in IC.. ? Will you wait for your chance to kill the enemy like the others? Or try be good man just pretend see noting when the enemy farming on your spot?

Unfortunately it's pvp - not everyone has the same mentality to leave players alone. It's either kill or be killed. I in no way condone ganking, but when you're after more stones and see someone struggling with a few NPCs, the temptation to stick a knife in their back is overwhelming.

This is why I rather zerg. (Not too proud of admitting that, but that is what it comes down to! I also just cloak as half of my group die if *** does go down. Maybe I am just too much of a duck for PvP.)

    [Edit]

Why would I use detect invisibility potions on NPCs that I'm killing, and have been killing every now and then for over 1 month without any problems from enemy players, due to playing on a campaign that is dominated by my own faction?

Why would I need to 'learn to play' if I'm casually killing NPCs for stones in an usually empty location?

You're judging me from one screenshot and my OP, yet you don't even know what actually happened apart from what I've stated in the OP.

When they initially ganked me, I had both of them low health so they vanished into stealth WHILE NPCs were still trying to kill me, like the casters and berserker NPCs who stun, so I did what anybody else would do, kill the NPCs quickly before the players would engage again. What did those players do, instead? They pulled the boss directly into my line of damage.

What's there to L2P about? I already know how to play and can pretty much take on any player, of any class no matter their skill. It's about the situation and the use of a boss (NPC) to do the job, while getting in ONE SINGLE HIT at the end of my death from a distance in sneak.

Er, maybe we've been playing different versions of IC, but zerging is one of the biggest issues. People group into massive balls to sweep through NPCs and smaller groups of players. It's been a fairly large issue that numerous people have mentioned. Pretty much from its release, the zergs out in Cyro itself moved over to IC.

It's also hardly "unpredictable" imo. You run around killing mobs and doing quests, with the large chance of getting ganked by enemy players. Except out in Cyro you don't risk losing something you may have worked hours to get in the span of a few seconds.

I hardly see any strategy in IC that's any different than in Cyro proper. Eother people group into massive zergballs to faceroll anything and one they come across, or people will hide out in high-traffic areas to gank others. Where's the strategy? Where's the variety? All I see are the same cheap tactics people relied on before IC dropped.
