The idea isn't certainly bad, but crying about doesn't help a lot.
You really want to make clear to the dev team you need TextChat?
Connect a keyboard to your console now.
They probably measure how many people actually use a keyboard. If few people do there's no incentive for the dev team to reward you with TextChat.
Why would devs check who uses a keyboard
I have to connect by keyboard through usb whoch is taken by my controller charger and headphones.
If we could use keyboards id remove the controller charger....
Anyways....keyboard support isnt even implemented on console yet so why would i bother using a keybaord or go through the inconvience of having it plugge din?
I dont browse the web on my ps4, i use my phone.
I could use it for ps4 messaging...but again if im not co stantly using my keyboard, its an inconvenience, and to be honest, i could just use my phone. It makes it noce and easy to be able to keep an eye on my game while i try to send a message on my phone
So yeah if eso was trying to test who actually had keyboards plugged in...they would be dumb because there is no point for us to have a keyboard in right now since the game doesnt support it
I have connected a keyboard and I do use it while creating mails. As a Guild Master I have to mail a lot.
Meh i see your point but it would still be kind of silly to base it off that thought
Most people arent guild leaders who need to send messages to several people, so most people will maybe only send one message

Probably use that for a while?

No *** Sherlock. Very few people do that however because you don't want a keyboard laying around your living room. Even if you had one, you'd still be waiting decades for a reply because the other guy is fiddling with text input via DS3.
The 5*500 guild members is an argument I had not considered, for this group text chat is probably convenient. Still, it's a relatively small group and "on the streets" text chat is worthless.
So I keep to my point, text chat is not worth implementing.

Remove chat box from the PC version since consoles do not have it.
Yeah, it's a real shame. The Elder Scrolls universe would have been great for an MMORPG. In the hands of other developers perhaps.Nergie4242 wrote: »To be honest even if they did put it in now its far too late. People have moved on.
GG ZOS.
