It's been a while since I had so much fun doing dungeon in Elder Scrolls Online. Kudos to ZoS for making such an awesome and challenging dungeon!
The whole place looks great, the trash packs are also awesome (who am I kidding? waste of time dealing with trash packs in dungeons ^_^ ), and last: the boss encounters! What can I say.. this time simply all hats off. The boss encounters are really well made. They are challenging, not static, and fun to play!
I hope Zenimax will continue giving us such great content more often (I really don't feel like waiting 8-9 months for new dungeon).

P.S. Zenimax nerf the 1st boss's skill FLURY ! That zombie on steroids in veteran mode cuts through fully pumped up tank like knife through butter. Unless you intended that boss to be kited on vet mode, I don't see this being normal? Or am I missing something and there is a different than "kiting" way to deal with his flury?

    I am amazed you actually got through the first boss. It is ridiculous difficullt, especially without stam regen while blocking. Also for kiting it seems like you need a speed buff, which a DK or Templar not have. That can't be the case since we'll be eliminating certain classes for tank in a dungeon.

    Is there some any hidden mechanic? This boss is crazy fast, hits crazy hard and with all the adds it makes it even harder. So you think we might be missing a mechanic or this boss needs a nerf?

    I agree the boss is kinda difficult (that flury...), but that's good thing in my opinion. And honestly I started to like the idea having a boss where the only legit way to overcome him is to kite. Standing on 1 spot and holding block gets really boring =)
    Also I think the other classes will be able to tank that boss too, and I am actually gonna try to tank with DK soon.

    Tbh I don't think there is any hidden/undiscovered mechanic for this boss or may be I'm wrong, can't say for sure. So you either kite him or...
    The other way I found (not very legit in my opinion): You can climb the chains near the portal and taunt the boss from there, when you do that he just stays on one place and spams his skills in the air w/o hitting the tank(only his ranged attack hits the tank).

    Yeah, ofcourse it's something else and I have no problem with kiting a boss around, it's pretty fun and challenging. But for you guys from Hodor, I guess elite from the game, it's possible. For the more casual players, it almost becomes impossible. I don't want it to be an easy fight, it's just the speed buff I'm worried about that the DK and Templar not have and from my point of view is kind of needed to kite him around, he is extremely fast and they just can't always keep out of that flurry, maybe for roll dodge but that drains your stamina away tremendously now with the nerf..

    But let me know if you have done it with a DK :smile: I'm kinda curious, I'll try it on y NB tank too next time.

    All you need to do is put retreating maneauver from the alliance war tree on your bar, all classes have access to this skill. Or have one of the dps or healer hit it every few kite rotations.

    I have stated in my post that we have tried that, but because of it's huge cost and someone else have to apply this speed buff on the kiting tank it's really not easy to use. Also the speed buff will stop once the tank makes an attack so every time he taunts the boss it has to be reapplied which means every 10-15s. This will cost too much stamina to keep up and it's just not reliable. Plus can't lose any dps or heals here because it's hard enough already, so to practically do this, someone in the party has to keep busy with it all the time which is not really clever in this fight.

    You do not need a speed buff to kite this boss. When you get slowed you have to dodge if you know he's gonna flurry you but that's it.

    In our video (below) you can see how DK tank is doing his job on kiting. He runs in circles with speed buff from Dual Wield Quick Cloak reflecting fiend's light attacks with DK's wings.

    Just tanked the overfiend fight. I did not kite this boss around our group found that it was harder for our dps to get decent damage on the boss without this fight taking forever. Our healer could not stop the heals on me had to keep me full up on health. I had to spam igneous shields during flurry phase to help mitigate the damage.Deffinatly a tank check you need to be super beefy to survive this fight. Great job zos.

    As I thought at the beginning flury is just bugged.

    Eventually this dungeon will get nerfed some. This dungeon is practically impossible to complete and I am willing to bet that less than 5% of the people who play this game will actually complete it once before it gets nerfed some.

    I sure hope not because this is like the only dungeon besides WGT which presents some challenge in this game.
