I use that morph too, and I also use it mostly as a buff. What I usually do for DPS against a group of mobs is:DigitalShibby wrote: »I use the Solar barrage morph, I treat it like a buff instead of an attack. It can be used outside of combat with no target, its an insta cast 20% more damage buff.

When they take away all your sustain DPS and force you to use cloth for said class like the rest... oh wait only sorcerers get that.
Stamina is the way for DPS, Eric Wrobels decree with Shield breaker. Don't like it, then leave.
If you want skills like a sorc, maybe you should have rolled a sorc.
Don't think of Dark Flare as Crystal Fragments, think of it as the magicka version of Wrecking Blow.
3) Maybe a stacking Empower mechanic? Cast one, it boosts the next attack by 20%, land another one and it boosts by 25%, and so on. Increment by 5% up to 2 times. Rewards multiple casts, but the cast and projectile travel time can be adjusted to balance out the damage increase. Also adds depth to casting priority and bursting. Do I want to stay in melee range and try to kite around jabs, or stay at a range and try to avoid the Dark Flares w/LoS, reflects and whatnot.

Different class, different ability. And Empower buff is only good thing about Dark Flare. Want to have fragments - roll a sorc then.

As soon as sorcs get a version of breath of life, k thx.
At least, at the very least...
Drop the godamm trajectory, and give it a plus or less straight one. Takes a week or two between the moment it is cast, and the moment it's landing...
Dark Flare can't be used for a sneak attack.willymchilybily wrote: »At least, at the very least...

I have never played templar, but this is sounding a lot like lethal arrow bow skill. healing debuff, cast/travel time but with the added bonus of a damage buff, surely this is a great skill to set up a burst attack with..or am i missing something?
Also, it shouldn't have the auto aim function it has now, only hit the direction you are facing (for the complete duration).

Would be better if they just took your keyboard away, as you can't seem to type anything intelligent.danielpatrickkeaneub17_ESO wrote: »While we are handing out unnecessary buffs can we make breath of life turn my Templar invisible and Radiant Oppression allow me to fly? I'll also take an inner light buff to +200% magicka while we are at it. I mean since everyone seems to think magicka Templars need help its only fair, right?

The aim of this suggestion (from what i get) is to make certain skills a bit more useful.
That Dark Flare (or magicka Templar for this case) needs some help, i agree. If this is the right way, idk.
Magicka Templars DO need some help. A complete playstyle (magicka Templar = Puncturing Sweep) being based around 1 skills isn't a playstyle. Its making use of 1 convenient (if not OP) skill and calling it a decently balanced class.
You got 5 slots on your bar (6 if you call ultimate). Would it be to much to ask if you actually could do some damage rotations or anything. IDK how braindead some people are that they can call a 1 skill rotation a valid playstyle, but for me personally it's not. Rather Nerf 1 skill and actually implement some engaging gameplay then just sit behind your PC (or console), drooling because your brain shut down caused by the monotonous action of pressing a single button from level 1 till endgame.
