Why would you delete a launcher version file instead of just repairing?
And instead of spending time on the forums, make a support ticket

When I quit I got another pop-up (same problem) and the launcher had gone from "Play" to "Repair". I haven't had time to restart it yet, but I've found it usually works OK, even if you have to ignore its desire to repair a couple of times.
This is the nature of MMOs: everyone playing needs to have the same client, it'd be a logistical nightmare otherwise. In an offline single player game, content can be downloaded on demand, because there's only one user, independent from others. In an MMO, there's not.2. If someone has no DLC I think he should not be forced to download stuff for this DLC, and his game should be able to recognize this.
3. why the launcher still generates problems, not only with "unstable memory, like leaks", but also patching, that force people to start game without it. Why launcher does not close itself automatically after it starts the game. It works that way perfectly in SWTOR, so it is possible.
