They have said in an ESO Livs the this will never happen they made it clear that no matter what they are not doing it

you mean like when they said there would never be paywalls and make people pay for content?

or like when they said eso would never become free to play?

I have an auction house already - it's called Wayrest. That place has everything you could need in one town.

    No thank you.

    Here's what'll happen if they're implemented:
    1) the seller will get pissed off they couldn't sell an ear of corn for 25,000 gold, and close the auction before its scheduled end time.

    2) buyers, incapable of patience, will drive up the price of corn to 25,000 gold because they just have to have it.

    3) the forums will fill up about how awful the auction system is and it would be better if people could just sell their stuff to others by having an in-game bazaar which doesn't need guilds to buy or sell.

Hmm. Now that I think about it, I'd rather have the bazaar. ;)

Honestly, it just seems a shame to me. A lot of gear is being vendored when other players could use it.

I played in beta and just now have bought the game to play. As I am leveling up my toon, I am in dire need of gear and when I want to upgrade, I run around trying to find the things I need and that varies from place to place. Most of the time, at my level, I can't find a thing, so I make do best I can. I also receive a lot of gear that I can't use, even as quest rewards... that simply makes no sense to me why a reward for a quest I accomplished would give me a piece of gear I wouldn't use... and especially when the only thing I can do with it is sell it to a vendor.

I play by myself mostly and not really good in guilds or the like, though I understand the need for them. I am told if I want to be able to sell the drops I get, I have to join a guild that has a store, otherwise, just use the vendor or spend time spamming chat selling it.

Also, trying to level up my enchanting, I usually end up short with one sort of rune or the other. There is no place I can buy them, as most of the guild stores only have proficiency much higher than what I have. Running around the land does help a bit ... but I spent the whole day the other day running around for Potency runes and found 2.

What a waste of useful items. Like throwing them in the trash. An auction house would definitely would be a useful part of the game.

The current system is a stupid idea but people like stupid things... The same reason why Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are rich... I dont blame ZOS for making such a dumb economy system, I blame the people for accepting it and actualy think this is working... For god sake, who the hell think this actualy works?... Well brainwashed people, fanboys and probably new players to MMOs...

The ESO trading community is fantastic. I don't want that turned into bots scanning an auction house for the rarest gear every moment.

ESO is not free to play, it is buy to play, and you don't have to have access to the imperial city to get competitive because you still have access to the new vet ranks and people can trade/sell you items from the DLC if you sorely need it. Not to mention that they have so far only charged for access to zones, but they still allow you to take advantage of new features anyway like vet rank changes, new motifs, and likely more to come.

I seriously doubt the validity of these types of posts ( polls). In my opinion the majority of players who register/post on these forums are the ( for lack of a better way to say it) the 1%'ers would want to continue to use our current guild trader system. I've said it before but to the only way to approach a 'true' representation of how the population feels is to have the poll asked during log in. If that were the case I'm sure the numbers would be in great support of a LESS Limiting system then we have now !
Of course this is only my opinion !!

Funny how these nay sayers are probably all PC players with add ons to help with the current guild system. Console got screwed, the system doesn't work for us something needs to change because there are no magic mods/add ons for us. I'm not saying an auction house is the answer but the current system is intolerable.

I'd like to see a system where one could browse all the wares at local guild merchants from a single NPC. I love the Guild Store system, but it is a mess to navigate.

Tell me, what gear is being tossed in the junk/vendor/deconstruct pile that other people absolutely need? It is not worth it to craft good, high end hear for sub-VR1 toons. And you can bet your ass that no one is vendoring stuff when they could be deconstructing it for crafting exp. The only gear I see being tossed to the vendor is probably white level gear.

The only reason I want a AH is the fact that I get kicked from trading guild because I didn't sell enough gear and the small guilds I am in cannot afford to buy a trading stand.

I'm in 5 trading guilds, and in only one of them I need to sell for (I think) 3000 gold per 10 days or so to not get kicked out, the others don't have this obligation. And they all have a kiosk at a good spot.
I'm sure when you ask around for another trading guild, you can find one which doesn't kick you out :)

Yup, all us PC players totally have this magical add-on that allows us to tap into the database of every available guild stall and effectively use it like an Auction House already anyways and THAT'S why we don't want just a centralized AH. It'd just totes be redundant then.

Cause, y'know, that's how add-ons work. They allow us to cheat.

This topic comes up so many times a week, I no longer have the energy to explain why I hate the idea of an auction house for ESO. But, let me leave you with this. What if, when a game came out and had certain aspects that were different than its piers in the genre, we embraced it? What if instead of item by item trying to transform the new game with different systems, into the other games with their systems, we just played this game for what it brought to the table? What if we when we came across a system in this new game we didn't like we either stopped playing and went back to the old game or lived with it and shut up? What if we stopped going to message boards and venting our frustrations about the direction mmo's are going and how everything is a WoW clone now, even though we go to the same message boards to cry for each new game to be more and more like the last?

I do, and the reason is simple. I hate spending an hour going zone to zone searching for what I want at prices that are fair. With Master Merchant and AwesomeGuildStore addons, as least searching for what I want is a bit easier. I couldn't imagine doing it without those two addons anymore.

With Update 7's new feature of tripling to sextupling the loading times between zones, it's a time sink like no other. Sure, it prevents a single global market in a game with a single per region. But it's a lot more frustrating to people who enjoy the buying/selling of items as a fun feature of an MMO.

Then all the best mats, items, anything worth any value in the game would all be bought in bulk, and you would be left in the same position as before, with nothing, only exception, the rich get richer, not you.

yet another AH post lol. Nope on the AH i actually enjoy selling items person to person it lets me get the best deal possible instead of settling for a "buy now" price.

@Gidorick You are still at it huh? great idea that i fully support. or maybe have some traders in each town that EVERYONE can list their items at. kinda like a per town merchant.

On the current system you can have guilds with nice price ranges, and guilds that specify in some equipment / crafts... with the Global Auction House, it would all be converted into One Guy with 300+ slots there undercutting everyone.

"Oh but teh Rawl'Kha guilds are expenzivez, i'm *** poor and i can't haz gold and i still want dat build i saw deltia usinz boohooo" - Well if you want to buy expensive stuff at low prices you SHOULD be scouring teh traders of the deepest corners of tamriel.
