Please give me the opportunity to fix my characters face. I was unable to zoom in on the character creation screen. By the time I had created my character and ZOS had fixed the bug it was too late- she already had vertical eyebrows :'( I was too attached to delete her.

I'm really looking forward to an in game Barbershop. I understand that amending body and facial features might not be on the cards, but I know many people suffered from the same bug and have lived with the consequences for over a year.

Other than that I would love new hairstyles /tattoos/ scars / adornments. I would love being able to pick piercings and head adornments separately (currently they come in sets).

I realise that this is a completely different game ( and I've not played it) but I've always thought that the character creation options in Black Desert look amazing. I'm not saying that we should have similar, it's a completely different game after all. What I would like is more choice-which that game has. They seem to have have much choice. So if ZOS are looking for some hair/adornments etc inspiration for the barbershop:

    https://youtu.be/wxNCVPYy5f8

So, if they could give us more choice (ESO style and lore appropriate of course.) that would be great . Of course this is my personal opinion but that character creation screen/customization options make me drool at the possibilities. :o

PS netch hat in this thread looks amazing.
EDIT- PSS I'm referring to everything neck up in that video just to be clear (hair/make up/markings/ adornments etc) ( Clothing options are a completely different and divisive story, so yeah..neck up)

They should just make the race change option in with this feature.

Honestly, I rather have them work on many, many, many things before a barber shop.

I don't care how much it costs (within reason) as long as i can (1) change my character's appearance freely (e.g. i want to make one of my characters older, and change another's eye colour and/or war paint) and (2) change their name.

What gets me is how bad the single player elder scrolls games have been at letting you do this, i think skyrim was the first one where you could change your face without breaking all your character's stats and spells and stuff and having to manually add them all back from the console

They do need to revise some of the longer hair styles in the game to get rid of "wig syndrome" where movement disconnects the hair from the head.

If barber shop leads to more well-designed haircuts overall in the game, great.

As long as it's implemented into the game itself, I'll be happy with almost anything. I.e. You actually go to the 'barber', in the city, or something similar. Having a mission or two around the feature too would be absolutely stellar. After all this is a AAA mmorpg, and moreso than that is an Elder Scrolls game. So the bar should be set, justifiably, high.

I would like to see them (development) become inspired again about this game, and go above and beyond with the content/mechanics, rather than wallow in mediocrity.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Agreed, I would very much prefer to have all those character recustomization options in-game, and not just out of character effects from the crown store. I mean, latter would be better then nothing, but... this is ESO, it should be done -right- (which would also salve the tempers due to the long time waiting...)

    I would like to see...

    - a barbershop in every major city, where people can do "everyday" changes like hairstyle, makeup, adornments for a mere gold cost... (for that matter, I would like to see a gold price tag for using the dye stations as well... not much, just enough to make it seem more like a business and less like some free feature...)

    - a "plastic sorcery" mage hidden in some faraway place (coldharbour, maybe?) that provides "structural" changes like body shape, skin color, voice, gender and even race through magery and alchemy for a crown cost depending on choice magnitude (as in, culmulative crown cost adding up to a total for every slider moved or other change made, to be paid when satisfied, instead of a flat cost to enter recustomization screen)...

    - a "recordkeeper" clerk in every faction capital who will "update the official records" with a new name for your character if you just file the correct paperwork. Said paperwork to be purchased in the crown store...

    - more options showing up in the crown store, from an "epic beard pack" (I remember some people being all jelous of sai sahans beardedness) to more hair styles, perhaps even structural options (like, say, a "titanborn" feature for nords that allow them to exceed the current height slider and RP as some distant relative of Lyris...)

    - even more options not showing up in the crown store, but unlockable through in-game achievements much like dyes. Adornments, tatoos, hairstyles, whatever... give more and more people a good reason to use that barbershop...

    - and perhaps... even an splitting of sliders, to allow male characters to have beards -and- adornments, I recall a few remarks about this floating around now and then...

Now special quests around all this... would be the oh-so-cool icing on top!

My personal sentiments out of @Rev Rielle's mounth. I will be sorely disappointed if the "barber shop" the release is simply a return to character creation.

TES is the archetype fantasy game series (arguably, I know), ESO should have been the apotheosis of MMOs... it still can be, but ZOS seems intent on digging themselves into a hole they will not be able to get out of. Decisions like having everyone run around on elemental horses do more to make ESO feel like a generic indifferent MMO than the passionate, creative, pioneering MMO it should be.

I wouldn't be so worried about the barber shop if there weren't datamining that has found things like summonable crafting stations. ZOS seems content with the quickest, easiest implementation instead of implementing deep, meaningful systems.

Hell, just look a the mounts in general. We could have a full armor crafting system for mounts with different motifs and different options. The mounts could be a pet, a friend, a member of our family. Instead it's about a meaningful as a speeder bike in SWTOR. It's just a vehicle.

As per usual, @TheShadowScout is spot on. Having a face sculptor in Coldharbour would be awesome! It would make it so that everyone can get to them (after they spend some time with their character) and it would be in a realm of oblivion where the veil between realities gets skewed.

The rest of the post is great too, I just particularly liked that Coldharbour bit. If I ever quit the forums (No... I'm not quitting the forums, stop celebrating ) I'll be happy knowing there are others who are clamoring for the sort of game I want to see ESO become.

I definitely want to change my body type. My chubby Dunmer was cute at first, but after a year of adventuring I'd like to take her image a different direction. That exercise should pay off, eh?

I'd definitely pay crowns to get more new options, though I think regular alterations should be based on gold.

oh yea. Changes for gold... new options for crowns. I think that is more than fair for everyone. Some changes, like name, faction, race, etc... could be included for Crowns.

one thing that's definitely missing in eso is cool punky hairstyles for dunmer. as far as i'm concerned morrowind should look like a cross between burning man and the future world from david bowie's diamond dogs and everyone should have weird clothes and crazy assed hairstyles

Mount customization... hmm... like a mount creator and what we buy from the Crown Store are mount types and skins. Different main types, we could make them taller, shorter, fatter... I'm really liking this idea!

I do think that sort of thing would be great! I'd really like customizable tack/armor as well. Also, I want some interactions with mounts. You should be able to feed them and pet them at the very least. Same for pets!
