Do you make impracticable builds?

How much damage did you manage to do?

I don't have addons that track anything, but while it's less than pure DPS numbers, it's not as horrid as it may seem. Using lots of maul (penetration trait) heavy attacks with molten armaments, wrecking blow, brawler, rally, talons, breath, dragon blood, etc etc, pretty fun :) Not PVP, just PVE solo, he'd not be that great in groups, other than rarely needing to be healed and to constantly be putting out a certain modicum of DPS and CC.

Trying to figure ways to eek more offensive punch out of it w/out losing the health regen, its a fun experiment :)
Curious about your health regen, as you are an orc with the Robust passive.

You might want to try Werewolf. It doesn't affect your health regen, it has decent attack speed and does quite some damage.
If i compare it with my Templar, i think i at least double, maybe even triple my damage.
(I am with SnB though. DK has an big advantage with melee attacks over Templar.)
    Mending-The-Wounded, Aldmeri Dominion, Templar.

I make impractible builds on new characters.. like my newest Khajiit who is a hybrid. Foolish idea, but, I'm just enjoying the heck out of it. Of course, once I get to veteran ranks and want to actually participate in group content, I'll pick one. Really, I'm just being all over the place so I can explore all the possibilities available to me on a class I've never played.

I'm not sure the exact number off hand but I use full Orgnums, another set with a health recovery set bonus (there are a few that fit), and health regen enchants on all my jewelery, plus green dragonblood or potion regen along with the increase from 7 pieces of heavy armor and Robust. All health enchantments and all attributes into health also. It's pretty hefty, with something like engine guardian (which I dont have) and a little better itemization it could be much higher constantly, though I like the orgnum set bonus.

Breton (smexy) Nightblade with resto and dest staves. 1 piece heavy, 1 medium, the rest light (aiming to capitalize on the Undaunted perk). It seemed impractical when I first started putting it together (for some reason I had imagined that NBs should be these DW dervishes striking from the shadows...) but am now finding that this sort of build is old news. I LOVE playing it though. Just feels like coming home. New to the game (only level 31!) on PS4, so we'll see if I still love it down the road.

once I get a bite I will be a magic based Templar healer ww because why the heck not haha

I have a magicka based templar healer that is warewolf, but it was mainly back from the days where we would get stamina regen with a single passive, I never used nor use any WW skills in combat.

Still new in ESO, only start playing 5 days ago ( Sep 1 ).

My only char is 2h/2h Orc/Templar stamina DPS base on Ork race in Warhammer 40k. Big, ugly, resilient battle hungry madness. Always charging to enemies looking for good fight, never thought to win.

My new character is somewhat of a unique build, I wouldn't say its impractical.

An Imperial Stamina Sorc that uses DW/Bow with the only spells used being: Clannfear, Hardened Ward and Power Surge. I love having my Clannfear around to draw aggro while I can sneak attack from behind or just sit back and range with the bow.

This idea came from playing both a regular Nightblade and Sorc... I missed my Clannfear as a NB, it makes survivability in solo content much easier (and I only do PvE solo content), but as a Sorc I missed my weaponry... using a staff is boring IMO.

So far things have been going well. Previously I tried a hybrid build, tried to use DW/DW along with spells... but found myself doing crap damage at both because of having to split my attribute points and enchantments. This time, I can focus on Stamina while using Purple food and a couple Magicka enchantments to keep enough Magicka to power my Surge and Ward.

I've been thinking of turning my stamina nightblade to a vampire just for the cool factor. I like the stamina regen and the stealth speed. Plus the bats are 10 shades of cool. But I'm not sure about how well a stamina melee vampire will work with the reduced health regen. Has anyone tried this with any success?

Who here has or will make an impracticable build for fun or lore reasons? Or does everyone just min/max the hell out of every decision?

Ill do whatever i feel that suits my playstyle. Been playin around a while in update 7 without using 2/2 Monster Helmet Sets from the Undaunted. It works pretty good, and i´m havin fun as Tank right now ^^.

Mostly my groups never complain about that, as long as i get the job done and deal some dps with them ^^.

I've been trying to decide whether to delete 2 alts. I lack a Magicka DK (though my Imperial DK is pretty flexible) and a Stam Sorc. Forcing my Breton Sorc to be stamina seems silly.

My reluctance is due to the 100+ horseriding upgrades I did with all my characters.

My other reason for reluctance is that one alt was my Enchanting alt and has a 40 Enchanting. I guess I could delete my VR1 Magicka Sorc and level up the Enchanter. As a dark elf, I feel the racial is wasted unless I become a vamp (and they up the fire resist racial passive). But I put in a lot of effort to make my VR1 Sorc is equipment refiner/extractor.

A racial reset would be sweet.

Im competitive. I dont want to get into a group and be dead weight. So I definitely min/ max. Ill play D&D when I feel like roleplaying.

I made a "Just try and kill Me" build.

    -Bolstering Darkness
    -Caltrop's
    -Siphoning Attack's
    -Evil Hunter
    -Full Heavy Armour
    -Sword and Shield.

I could just run into a Zerg pop caltrops and bolstering darkness and perma block. I would have infinite stamina and so much mitigation i was a brick wall.

I can't wait to try this setup with the new siphoning attack's and reactive Armour >:)

i have more fun using build's like these.

I tried to make a hybrid sorc at first (attempting to recreate the Witchhunter class from Morrowind), but realized I didn't use most magicka-based spells for damage so went to full stamina.

Bow sorcerer works just great. The synergy between Acid Spray and Encase/Restraining Prison is fantastic, not to mention Crit Surge. Out of all my characters he's the most fun to solo IC with. I wish I could free up a slot to spam the occasional Consuming Soul Trap, though.

I might change the secondary 2h for 1h/s and use it as a buff/defense bar, but currently wrecking blow is too helpful.

Otherwise I tend to stick to uncommon race/class/role combinations, like Orc gealers, Khajiit mages and Altmer warriors. Sucks while racial passives are so important, but a blast to play.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.
