Bought wrong item for AP in cryodil. Any way to sell it back for AP?

I was buying an item from the elite vendor but it wasn't showing the amount of AP it cost. Tried to buy it thinking it would give a promt saying are you sure you want to spend X AP for this item. Turns out it cost around 250k AP and its not the item I even wanted. When I go to sell it back to the vendor it only sells for 60 gold. Is there a way to get the AP for this item back and give rid of the item?

I'm afraid there is no real way of getting the AP back.

You can try to send in a ticket and explain things, and hope they will switch the items for you and return your AP. But hoping is all there is in this really

Best thing to do is sell it to another player for an ungoldy amount of gold. That is how ZoS intended for PvP players to make gold, buy stuff not avail in the rest of game with PVP coin and list it for sale in guild stores.
