Oh and yeah 80% TV stone loss removes all semblance of fun from pvp, so fyi devs that needs to be dropped to about 10% max.

I didn't get ganked in a second. People tried to kill me. Tried. 700 stones later I went on my merry way to bank them.

Here's a cookie for ya bro, cograts you are the man! *bows down to the amazingness that is @Beedles ;)
Not meaning for this to read rude, just poking fun all around, so please don't take this as an attack, it isn't intended that way :)

Why would you not go to a less populated server if you want to farm TVs without running into other people?

Stop crying about it and wait for PVE content.........

Hate to break it to you but as progression is tied directly to Imperial City it is everyone's DLC ;)

Not sure if you understood my context. I was saying it'd be a dead game if people lost 100% of their TV stones. If some people don't get that, Zeni'll still take yer money. :-P

That ALSO is an amateur tip:

Actually, unless they changed the mechanic from announced, its MUCH worse to be in a zerg, but people dont realize it. This is from Rich Lambert on the ESO Live IC special, (timecode 56:28):

    https://youtu.be/KmdWFdS_Hg8?t=3388

You can have up to 12 contributors, (including those outside the group).... as long as you do up to 10% of the damage/heals,

If you have 30 people beating on something, only 12 are gonna get something.

In a big zerg group you get faster TS. Farm bosses, TS that drop from bosses or chests are not split in the grp. It is also a lot safter to run around in a zerg grp and farm those bosses :)

Yep! PvE guilds just gotta organize a nice group on a good campaign at a low-queue time and they're good. Just do their PvE thang.

Have you ever thought that maybe that is why so many of these newer MMO's fail after a year... Agghheeemmm SUB FEE drop! BTP bailout!..

Maybe more games need to look to what paved the way for MMO;s and what worked to get us to where we are now! I love ESO, but I do not like that it is failing to be a great MMO because people want SkyrimWithFriends!

I love the "game will be dead" comments. I'm sure if I look back there will be hundreds of them the first month of the game.

Anyway it wouldn't be dead if 100% stones were lost, it would be better for the most part, this is a pvp main dlc, so.make the damm pvp more interesting! It's a mechanic that has been proven over a decade to work in mmo's.

People die in pvp areas? They loose ***, and it's far far harder to earn stuff in proper.mmo's, you can get just about any gear in ESO in a couple months of work, in proper MMO style games end game gear could literally take months for each piece, and when you entered pvp, if you died, you would/could lose all of it..

Imagine spending 3 months to get 4 pieces of armor, to enter cyrodlil and then get looted for half/all of it.

That is what happens in most games, they are not dead, they thrive and last for years and years and years....and years...

@Funkopotamus I spent 9 days in a dungeon on AO I overleveled it (25 was cap I was 26) So when you log off/die you get booted, 9 whole days I.couldn't log off and prayed my Internet would hold up (back.in the days of earlier adsl)

I had to solo the same boss every 20 mins, in the hope of getting a sword drop that was good for pvp.

I eventually got it, and 3 weeks later I died in a pvp zone (after a good amount of kicking ass) and lost it.

Did I get really really pissed off? Hell YEAH (that game cost me several keyboards over the years)

But did I go on a forum and ***? No I made another character and started the grind for another...it was part of the game.

@Alcast don't spread misinformation. Several people have done the hard work for you.

People.working solo or 1-3 man groups are earning 15-25k stones per hour.

People in 20 man zergs are happy to get 1k stones per hour.

Zerging is the very slowest way of earning stones.

We have been waiting 1 year for any content. It was early on announced what way IC was planned to be done. I can´t believe there many in shock that it is really PvP update. I must be more shocked at an astonishing number of QQrs. I think PvP community really deserved something. They have gone through so many crappy things over a period of 1 year. Now we got something.

Been playing enough pve to know that it is mainly chit chatting about some stuff. then quickly demolish everything and nothing is unpredictable. Everyone knows what to do because they run the same ***t hundreds of times. Now these players are in an environment they don´t handle. Well welcome to the forums! I guess I will enjoy IC.

There should be a sign in Cyrodiil telling it is a PVP ZONE.

lol troll its my locknar! your just another entitled loud mouth. this content EFFECTS pve as well as pvp . please take all the sets armor available in pvp and make it not usable in pve and then I will agree with you till then keep YOUR views to your self .

There's literally 6 armor sets that are available from TV stones, non of which would be preferred PvE sets (except maybe Black Rose). If you don't PvP, why would you even want TV stones? The rest can drop from the 2 new PvE dungeons that can be farmed. All of the mats can be farmed or deconned from gear from Silver/Gold pledge chests. There's literally no reason to step foot into IC if you don't want to.

I'm assuming it's easier for you to just sit on the forums and complain though.

Just wondering if this also applies to the new Enchanting and Alchemy materials. Is it possible to farm the required potency runes and solvents outside IC too?

No, you need Tel Var stones for those unfortunately, though there might be chests in the Dungeons that drop them rarely. Not 100% sure on that.

That's a good reason to slog through the dailies in the districts, though. a couple of hours of getting ganked occasionally is not so bad for 500+ TV stones reward...

Might be nice to get that confirmed. If only so the idea that "you can get access to all crafting mats outside IC so stop crying" can be proven to be demonstrably false.

I have never PvP'ed in this game and I never will! Yeah, I could go around in a group and gank single players if I wanted to. Hell, a five your old can do that. But if that inflates your ego then more power to ya. ~.^ Also, robots dont go around in large groups killing single players just for the fun of grieving people. If you dont like killing robots then dont. You can stay in your easy mode gank parties because thats the meat and potatoes of PvP. ~.^ Aion cured me of any PvP in an MMORPG!

The Kind of PvPer you find trolling the forums are the ones who nearly always start with the denigration, belittling and insults. Do the adult game playing population a favour and ban hammer these types would you? You forums would be better for it.

Its really not so much the "L2P" thing for PvE'ers but rather the FACT that PvP MAINLY consists of gank parties. Us PvE'ers dont feel like being some gank parties bi??. And to add insult to injury as your laying there dead every attempt is made at insulting you. If I had a dime for all the times I was called a noob for dying to a group of gankers in Aion I would be a very rich man! Ganking is the meat and potatoes of PvP in any MMORPG and thats a fact.

Also, I dont think people are mad that PvP'ers got some new content but rather upset that the new crafting stuff is locked behind a PvP door and not made available to everybody in the game. And it seems to me that most if not all nerfs to this game have been mainly for PvP and no consideration is really given to the PvE part of the game with those sort of nerfs. Also it could just be a flat out "we dont give a damn about PvE" attitude as well. Could be also that they just dont wanna be bothered with splitting up the nerfs between PvP & PvE as they should. Have the PvP nerfs added only in the PvP zone and the PvE nerfs(if any) kept in the PvE zones. I could be flat out wrong about this but its just the way it looks to me.

I agree with you. Or at least the second paragraph. Perhaps I'm just noticing when PvPers are griefing PvEers more as opposed to the other way around because I am somewhere in the PvE camp myself. Confirmation bias? IDK.

Regardless, I'd like to agree on this.

Fellow PvEers, please don't call PvPers rude names based on what defines them as a group. Killing other players (more specifically, other character's avatars) doesn't mean they are sociopaths, so quit it. However, I reserve the right to call those who are being intentionally rude and insulting to PvEers (with references including but not limited to: carebears, tear drinking, cry moar, etc.) what they are: egotistical bullies.

Dear PvPers, I respectfully ask that there be no more gloating of any kind in this thread or any other. You've posted your memes, you've drunk plenty of tears, you've made far too many references to carebears to be healthy for (I assume) adults. (I barely even know what carebears are, and all that knowledge is because adults are referring to kiddie shows on the forums for some reason. Wut?)

Rest assured, PvPers, I don't need any grief either and will gladly "WTF?!" any PvEer who actually whines in a non-constructive manner, if you give me the chance to do it. Because pointless posts hurt us too, making us look silly.

    What do you say?

Pvpers have been waiting ages for new content, putting up with the quests as our only other option to cyrodiil, it's absolutely glorious to have this content. If you don't like pvp don't come to cyrodiil and IC. You don't need TV stones the new armour or even to be v16 to do pve. The idea of losing something if you die makes the game so much more exciting, So take some heart pills and remember it's not real money.

    @likelolwhat

I dont PVP like someone in the replys said if PVP its not for you dont go there and guess what i agree with them.

But f*** i cant do a simple PVE quest in there. Even now i was trying to do one of the blades quest when reaching the target one Aldmeri dominion (i am EB) player understand what i am there for and probably is there for the same reason. We start together to kill the mobs needed to get to the arc for the quest. We *** fighting together for 15m because the mobs there was made for ZERGS 2 v14 players taking almost 15 minutes to kill mobs there (i am trying not to curse here). And when we almost getting it a zerg from DC just appear and take all our efforts in to the ground.

F*** Tel Var Stones i dont want Tel Var Stones

game is going to die soon I think. that huge waste of time IC is a joke spend hours getting stones and lose it all to 1 sec fear and gank. not many people will play having this happen over and over . there no fun in being forced to go to pvp to get new armors. Also killed some players and never got any stones from them. happened several times players had just killed stuff to so they had stones. not sure what BS was happening there.
    have a blessed day!

@Beedles i dont think that the game will die soon but let me tell you i agree with you so much.

Someone on replys say that ESO probably its not a game for you ... i am thinking the same for me ... this DLC is the worst thing that i find in a mmo game.

And yes TOP PVPers i am a PVE player and PROUD on it.

Those who say "ESO is not the game for you".... They should take a long hard look at whether they belong here, not you. Not for content preference, but for character.

Anyway. I'm really not happy with gating new PvE content behind both new and old PvP content. Though, I suppose I'm lucky I'm so slow to get through things. Well yeah. I get that. I was referring to any and all who would say that the game was not for you, not content update #1. I guess it was kind of a hypothetical.

But yeah, I'm staying out of IC for the moment. I have enough content left to keep me busy for a while. I'm one of the lucky ones. :)

I posted this in another thread, but it's worth a repost ---

IC was created with PvP in mind first ... ZOS management has acknowledged that already. With only one PvP zone in the whole game, the release of this type of content makes sense.

As one who likes both PvE and PvP, it still bothers me that there are PvEers still complaining about IC when the current ratio of PvE to PvP zones in the game is 22:2. When Wrothgar and Murkmire come out, it will be 24:2.

As you indicated, if PvEers don't like IC after testing a character on PTS, they simply don't have to buy the DLC. Easy as that.

@Taleof2Cities let me put this in a only PVE point of view.

IC as ZOS acknowledged was a DLC for PVP and PVE expansion, they put PVE content as for example the storyline of the Imperial City conquest for Molag Bal bewind a mandatary experience of PVP. I am Crafter in the game now i need to PVP to get mats for Crafting.

Regarding the ratio 22:2 WTF?? PVP is fighting Player Versus Player is conquering places the other factions have how many maps do you want to do that. For PVE you need space to get a storyline that is what PVE is all about.

I dont disagree that a DLC for PVP and PVPers community come its fair i agree with you but dont put PVE experience, dont put PVE Storylines, dont put Crafting, behind a PVP wall.

I dont have to buy IC DLC i am a subscriber i contribute every month from the begining of the game to suport the team and the company that develop ESO.

PvE in the PvP zone is not going to be for everyone, but it is doable in some circumstances (as someone who has Master Angler and the Cryodiil Champion achievements and who hates PvP with a passion I can attest to it). The problem with IC though is that unless you play in a quiet time, ganking is what you are going to face; so running back to the bank and forgetting all about the TV bonuses is going to be your lot in life.

Until Orsinium comes out sometime soon, PvE (for those who hate to PvP) for players above V14 is going to be a choice between the same old dungeon runs scaled to your level, or short runs in the sewers/back to bank R&R.

This is really no different from any other MMO game trying to cater for the PvE and PvP crowd - the pendulum swings with each Update/Patch/DLC from PvE centric to PvP centric, then back to PvE, back again to PvP, and so on. People will get over it.

One of the funny things I have found though is that with the release of IC, Cyrodiil itself is deserted so PvE'ing in that zone is perversely easier then ever!
Oh so you play on a console? Well this is a console game after-all I suppose.

It sounds like you expected collecting TVs to be extremely easy, and are sad that you now need to actually know how to play the game to get rewarded.

The extremes of it are out of proportion, grinding tel var stones should be just that... grinding tel var stones. Losing 10% is whatever, losing damn near all of it... its not right.
This is really the least of my worries in this patch but it has been eating away at me that now my entire playstyle and all of my builds are worthless but now its a pain in the ass to get up to 200+ tel var stones. Im out trying to kill a mob for a quest and ganked while killing mobs, immediately dropped from 200+ to 35 stones. That is not fun, and ultimately we play this game for fun.
I dont want anything handed to me on a silver platter, Ive worked my ass off and spent literally WEEKS of gameplay alone since early release in this game, just on one character thats not even including my alts, to grind to where I was and its not even partially like any other game where, yea, your old gear is... well... old but it is totally useless in this patch. Your entire *** build is worthless. These outrageous blanket nerfs, this isnt even including the suspected invisible changes to the game that werent included in the patch notes, are just combining for one really pissed off community and trolls, such as yourself, arent really needed but I can accept that worthless people will exist irrespective of what I would like but dont harass people just for the sake of harassing them a constructive post would work much better, although in this aspect, I have no idea how you would post something positive about this patch just generally since the blanket approach seems to be the way to go these days.
