Oh and yeah 80% TV stone loss removes all semblance of fun from pvp, so fyi devs that needs to be dropped to about 10% max.

So no one is risking the 80 percent loss by leaving the home territory?

Do you make the same rewards deeper in the castle or is it the same rate?

They may need to sweeten the pot to lure players into risking a deeper venture.

To be clear, this is exactly the kind of PvP that many forum users were begging for.

A few months back, the forum was flooded with 'arm chair ninjas' who wanted to kill and rob players in PvP.

They claimed everyone would love it and the game would fail without the ability to loot the corpses of their enemies.

Well the ic is the closest zos dared to go into that type of 'casual killer' gameplay.

Should we thank all those guys on the forum for demanding this as an addition to the game?

Actually Jess was absolutely Giddy about the looting of other players.. Did you see her in the live stream? I think there was actually a little drool hanging off of her chin when they announced it.

Keyword in your statement "it isn't fun at all..."

This was the feedback when it was in PTS and they responded with an 80% loss ratio instead of the 100%.... way to go ZOS!

Also when I was in PTS it was just zerg runs and respawn camping... I was bored of that after a few hours. I see it didn't change for launch.

I agree the imperial city has failed to live upto any expectation it would be so bad but its the only place to get Vet 15 and 16 gear, its the only new content and it takes hours to get into. PvP is fun but they have turned it into a painful grind of zergs, mass killings and almost instant respawn.

As for people saying your better off in small groups or solo, the people in the massive groups don't care about stones they are just there to kill players and if they happen to split your 100 stones by 12 people they really don't care, and you have just lost 30 mins of stealth killing and sneaking by just running across a mass murder group.

Imperial city sucks at the moment. PvP in cyrodil is more fun and PvE any where else is better.

Why dont you apply "bankroll management" strategy for tel var stones ?. For example i never carry than more %10 of all my tel var stones . With this like strategy you never lose your all stones with a gank or zerg attack etc ...

I love IC, need only to demotivate zerging and one of way to do this is, decreasing the % of stones you earn in big groups, more ppl around zerging, less stones you get both pve and pvp, and also if you get killed by many ppl your % of loosing stones decrease, for exp:
    1 vs 1 80%
    1 vs 2 70%
    1 vs 3 60%
    1 vs 4 50%
untill like dying in pve , 1 vs many 10%.
Same rule could be applyed in group vs group.

Stop crying about it and wait for PVE content.........

this content EFFECTS pve as well as pvp . please take all the sets armor available in pvp and make it not usable in pve and then I will agree with you till then keep YOUR views to your self .

There's literally 6 armor sets that are available from TV stones, non of which would be preferred PvE sets (except maybe Black Rose). If you don't PvP, why would you even want TV stones? The rest can drop from the 2 new PvE dungeons that can be farmed. All of the mats can be farmed or deconned from gear from Silver/Gold pledge chests. There's literally no reason to step foot into IC if you don't want to.

I'm assuming it's easier for you to just sit on the forums and complain though.

yeah free farming compared to having to group to get comps is comparable troll on fanboy ! GL with your meds

You missed the point entirely. The only reason to risk getting into a PvP fight is to get PvP gear. And why would you do that if you hate PvP. You can "free farm" the new PvE dungeons all day if you want.

I never said I hate PVP I hate loosing that many stones in 1 sec And I don't like being forced to pvp to get content. that's my opinion, most people will be on the loosing end of this pvp gank feast and like I said its not fun. go on and troll about what ever your thoughts are ,facts are facts people don't like to loose. I consider myself a average pvper and there is no surviving a zerg or nb ganker when you don't have time to react. All iam saying is make the 80% less like 50 or so or make it available through quests or something in pvp zone

After a couple nights of experiencing IC for the first time, I think it's actually not as bad for PvEers as I thought it'd be. Because IC isn't really PvP. There's so many PvE mobs to kill that's what you're doing half or more of the time. You're getting mats to deconstruct as well as stones.

JMO, PvE guilds could organize guild runs, if possible at a less populated time and/or on a less populated server, and do fine. When your group's bags are full, just suicide on mobs and go bank your stones. The only way you'd have issues is if a larger enemy group came upon you. I don't mean to be blasé but that's my thought as a PvPer who is looking at IC and going, "Bleh."

Idk, i kinda feel sad for people who actually grind them. I just roam around and kill all of them, collect their stones and then suicide/bank and repeat.

Does anybody truly "Know how to play the game"?

I thought the entire point was to play as you wanted, not fit in to a cookie-cutter frame that has been pre-determined.

I suppose it's about experimenting and finding out what your particular build can do to maximize it's effectiveness.

I'd hate to think we have to all end up playing the same sort of character over and over and over just to succeed.

Fortunately, I've stopped caring about TV completely and fully expect to get ganked all the time so, whatever I collect is yours. Go ahead and gank me. I'll be back. Who knows, maybe one of my other characters or groups will find you and take revenge.

It's just a game. I stressed way too long about not being the best so I'll just play as best I can and not sweat the small stuff.

    Gated access? Nah.
    Loss of TV stones? Nah.

Losing stones you collect is not the end of the world. Having gear to get gives you a reason to play, if you are dying too often to progress at a reasonable rate (self determined) then you now have an intensive to improve both your gear, and your play.

I'm starting to wonder, if ZoS added a boss that had the BEST gear, but designed to be basically impossible so nearly no one could complete it... How long before the endless complaints and threats would influence them enough to destroy their DESIGN, giving the gear out to all.

As above, I would love to be able to loot and be looted in pvp. Most MMO games ive played (proper mmo's not this dumbed down crap nowdays) there were key points as to why they succeeded for years and years.

    1. Reaching max rank took months and months, hell years in some cases, took me 3 years to get 6 chars in anarchy online to level 150-180 with one at 200 the max.

    2. Pvp had severe risk and reward, you went into a pvp zone? Then you had a chance of losing any piece of gear equipped or unequipped to the enemy, I lost half a set of armor once. But another time I got 3 pieces of gear for a stealth alt I had. That I knew took months of work to get.

That was serious fun. I say 100% stone loss, and add it lootable bodies.

I do not think todays MMO players could handle that..

Emotionally speaking..... Everyone today wants instant gratification and instant rewards..
Allowing them to be killed and looted would cause mass hysteria and suicide threats on the forums lol.

I for one would welcomed this with open arms... In ESO's current state with the way zurging is going on I dunno if it would work?

Maybe if you are delt damage by more than 3 people you do not drop your gear that could work.

Hey that right there could work.. But I bet ZOS would rather pull out toe nails with pliers than think of programing that into the game lol.

No you wouldn't. This is the basis that the most successful MMO games in the last 15+ years have used. It's only recently things have dumbed down alot for current gamers, as for some reason, they're all bitching crybabies.

Sorry but it had to be said, hell when I started playing MMO games nearly 15 odd years ago, we didn't even really have forums to complain, we just got in the game and played? Don't like it? Don't play! Yet for all this "xyz would kill the game" it worked bloody well, hell anarchy online is still going 16 years strong nearly!!

@Funkopotamus I agree, this generation of gamers want to buy a game and complete it in a day, they don't want to put hard work in, they don't want to actually work for anything. They want to insert the disc, be told exactly where to go and what to do, then finish it as quick as possible.

*** me in older games you didn't even got tutorials, now every bloody game has a 3 hour long "starter" area/safe zone whatever you want to call it, as a bloody tutorial. What happened to having to look up the bloody manual....

    Remember AC?
We had to figure out spell components on our own! We couldn't even cast spells until we found the right combination "Kinda like the crafting in ESO" Nothing like going to cast heal4 or fire5 and fizz a spell due to not having hyssop in your back pack lol Only to then have a Tusker slam both feet into your teeth :) <-Anyone feel me here?

Also I remember spending 4 weeks FOUR in a dungeon farming shard fragments to make GSA gear to only be killed by some guy named "Bud the Wiser" and lost EVERYTHING!

You know what?? After another month I finally got my GSA and I was damn proud of it lol!..

Oh and yeah 80% TV stone loss removes all semblance of fun from pvp, so fyi devs that needs to be dropped to about 10% max.

That ALSO is an amateur tip:

Actually, unless they changed the mechanic from announced, its MUCH worse to be in a zerg, but people dont realize it. This is from Rich Lambert on the ESO Live IC special, (timecode 56:28):

    https://youtu.be/KmdWFdS_Hg8?t=3388

You can have up to 12 contributors, (including those outside the group).... as long as you do up to 10% of the damage/heals,

If you have 30 people beating on something, only 12 are gonna get something.

In a big zerg group you get faster TS. Farm bosses, TS that drop from bosses or chests are not split in the grp. It is also a lot safter to run around in a zerg grp and farm those bosses :)
