Did Banished Cells gold pledge yesterday...

    My impression:

Tank (stamina) did not really have a problem, just needed a few spears here and there. Healer was fine too in management.
DPS was another story... Seems that bosses hit less hard but do have more resistance and take a lot more time to burn down. And yeah, having to do that extra kill to progress further into the dungeon was a bit annoying.

Overall it felt like a bigger challenge than before, which our group liked. No more burning down bosses in 10 seconds, but actually having to roll dodge once in a while.

I really hope they restore our stamina-based tanks to pre-update 7 version very soon. It's just ridiculous that after a year and a half of playing my tank, i'd have to completely change my character and build it again from zero. Hotfix needs to be released soon.

God! I'm so pissed typing this right now! Since the game launched, I NEVER complained even once about anything, I never even post on the forums. However, this is too much. I had to voice my utter disappointment about this new stamina nerf that we got as tanks.

I like challenges and hate easy encounters, however this is not about difficulty, this nerf basically forces players who choose a stamina-based tanks to completely redo their characters! I chose my in-game race, class, attributes and crafted Legendary gears and glyphs around a stamina tank! You can't just ask us to forget about it and redo all that. Please ZOS hotfix this and do it fast. I love ESO, but that nerf hit us tanks really bad.

    Is tanking that bad now?

Not long got to vet 14 with my tank.

    2:1:1 ratio with health/magica/stamina.

Was thinking of switching to dps mainly because I don't feel competitive in pvp. Only think I enjoyed was dungeons. If these are going to more stressful than fun, might very well make the switch

Can't imagine how bad darkshade caverns is with all those notch beating on you. It's bad enoughwith the current stam regen system.

If they are REALLY keen on keeping the nerf, at least exclude shields from it. Prevent stamina regen while blocking except if equipped with a shield. That's the least they can do to fix this.
Do ZOS employees not play tank at all! Do they not know how essential stamina regen is for tanks! Is it not enough that sprinting, rolling, blocking and using weapon skills cost stamina, you take regen from us now!!!

I did the gold key yesterday but it took a lot longer than usual. As a v15 sorc with mainly gold v14 gear I felt like I was v1 again with blue gear or something. Damage is a lot lower, sustain is more difficult for some reason, mobs hit harder and have more a lot more health.

Hopefully I will get used to the way combat feels, its really boring right now and I did not enjoy PVE at all. PVP in IC is fun but the roaming bosses are too strong for normal 4-man groups, everyone will jump on the zerg train, choo choo!

    My feelings?

Wondering why I should bother to log in today. Stamina users have one pool of resource to use for everything. You've nerfed our damage, nerfed our tanks. Nerfed far to much including FPS (used to get 60 GPs, lucky to get 20 now). As a stam NB we had the worst in game dps in long fights, we needed buffing from a bigger stamina pool not nerfing.

But you've buffed loading screen time ridiculously, broken grouping evening more (instance full, 4 man group only 2 or 3 players can get in dungeon, solution is all leave dungeon disband and regroup after every dungeon) .

But hey I've got my own nerf hammer it's called Sword Coast Legends, it's delivered at the end of the month and guess what if these issues aren't fixed by then I'm going to have a really hard time trying to find a reason to login.

    TL;DR

    Not happy.

It's a dumb nerf and I predict that the developers will change something about it as more and more people come out of the woodwork against it.

But if they did that, then we wouldn't be playing how Zos wants us to play right?

How do I feel about it? I'm utterly devastated. I'm trying to think of a reason why I should bother getting out of bed tomorrow. It feels as though my entire world has been flipped upside down. My self esteem is at an all time low. I'm wearing a neck brace just to hold my head up. Making any kind of eye contact with other humans just results in an endless flood of tears that keep streaming down my face like water down a waterfall at the end of the Yukon river. Depression has well and truly set in, my body is in a state of shock - I'm using every last ounce of strength I have to sit here and type this as all I want to do is curl up into the foetal position and cry myself to sleep.

Speaking of sleep - I doubt I'll be getting any of that in the near future. My heart is racing like an infant on steroids that's just completed a triathlon. Even if they fix this, the damage has been done. I doubt I will ever psychologically recover from the emotional, physical and mental torture this patch has put me through.

Admittedly, I haven't played it yet - I'm on the PS4 and it hasn't rolled out yet. I'm just burned out from all the threads the PC master class have created because of this patch. It's kind of humorous when you think about it.

I haven't had time to play a huge amount yet, but thus far as a mid-level solo PvE player I haven't noticed any significant differences since the patch, either in the way my characters play or in game performance on the PC EU server. I'm sure that the more I play the more I'll spot the changes, but so far it's business as usual given my particular playstyle.

I hate nerfs. Especially the ones where you have to rearrange your character to the point of "it doesn't even feel like the same as it was before" nerfs. Those are just the worse. I'm still annoyed about nerfs from 8months ago like the
(Dark stalker+nights silence armor set passives stacking).

So what did I do? I said F' it, I'm going to play less and only check my hirelings daily. Well ZOS nerfed that as well. I might get a legendary item once per week....if I'm lucky even though I have all 8 characters with max crafting. So then what did I do?
I said F' it, F' this game, F' ZOS, and F' the devs and their annoying giggling little YouTube videos. A game that pissess me off this much isn't a game I will give another dollar to. I dropped my sub last March and subbed to a game which in my opinion is far more superior and worth paying for.

Maybe Eso will change for the better in the future which is why I'll check the forums from time to time. Til then......F' them.

I just want to add this :

I had a great strong DK tank before the patch tried it and I can't do 50% of what i was doing before.
I was pretty pissed off the least I can say. but I think i found out what Z0$ want and tried my Magika healer templar with inner fire for aggro and it worked fine.

    let me explain even more
We were doing V16 white gold tower with 3 DPS s and myself as the main healer in light armor with 17k HP TANKING fine. even more it was more effective than my strong DK in heavy ...

Well time to craft light armor gear for my DK lol

They can just remove the tank role from the group panel now
Tankhealer and 3 DPS is working fine

    for what reason?
it doesent matter in terms of progress if the new gear is 20% stronger than your old gear because the old gear got reduced stats now or if not - 20% stronger remains 20% stronger without a doubt. but they evaded the problem of power creeping by reducing the stat values and can put man power instead of adjusting every damn mob type to the new powerlevel keep them the same and use the manpower to adress other things like populating the next addon.

This patch and the DLC was geared toward the top PvP players PvP game content, PvP game play and the exploits aassociated with it.
The colatel damage is unacceptable though: PvE has been affeted quite a bit.
With the addition of two additional Vet levels, these players would have to upgrade their gear as a result which usually happens with any DLC, usually.
The fact that most of these players have a sizeable ammont of Champion points collected already, although it's a pain in ass, they can redistribute their ponts and counter act the sharp change in character skills.
Unfortunately most mid and low end vet players have been sacrificed for the good of the " top tier" players. ( that's no ment to be a compliment): as members of the development staff have private and closed meetings with select guilds to discuss changes to game mechanics. Only those felt to be worthy are involved. That brings up a nasty word... Elitists. Elitists sanctioned by Zos.

I will agree that PvP needed some attention, but not at the cost of effective PvE game play.

This patch is a glaring indication that the people in charge of these changes should not be in charge.
There is an aire of incompetence and inexperience glowing from the Zos offices right now.

What will become of ESOTU? That is hard to say, but if the design staff continue to alienate more and more of the player base.... well, if you think that the towns and landscape is empty now, ..... you just wait.

It does matter, because people wearing the same gear today can't do the same things they could a week ago. That doesn't necessarily make them want the new gear, it makes them mad at the company for taking away from them.

Sure, the power difference between gear sets remains the same, but it means that wearing the same gear as I was I am now less effective, for no apparent reason.

That's not the way to do things.

Took out my lowbie character (Templar - healer) to Cyrodiil and IC yesterday, and after an hour of headsmashing into a concrete wall, I gave up. In 1.6, my healer could keep up with the damage, even though mana consumption was a bit over the top. Now, well, even with spamming heals, I cannot keep up with the damage. It seems like my heals are much, much weaker.

This morning, I took out my DK stamina tank, and, yea.. He's going back to pve'ing / getting VR ranks as well.

So it seems to me, with no basis in experimentation, that low VR/CP/Level DPS characters are ok'ish, but healers and tanks will need to be VR16 + high CP in order to be viable.

This patch hit tanks from 3 angles. No more health buffs from your PVP campaign, nirnhorned is now worthless so you take more spell damage (and have less health to take it with) and the stamina regen change which makes blocking/tanking in aoe situations really punishing (that 2s regen tick really sucks when I you have to block a power attack on the tick and you just miss out on that stam even though you were trying to time your blocks).. combine that with me not buying IC and having done all the quest content already so my only avenues to VR16 are grinding mobs or doing repeatable craglorn quests/cyrodill quests..

I'm hanging up my tank for now, going to play my sorc and level that through silver and gold instead.

I think 0 stam regen while blocking is abit harsh tbh, maybe -50-60% would've been enough. But then again a tank shouldn't be able to be nearly invincible while blocking aswell as putting out high damage numbers. Personally i like DCUOs implementation of roles, you change your role to a tank and you take less damage but also deal alot less damage. Just a thought.

Tanks don't really put out high numbers though, not if they're actually a tank. if they're a DPS with a shield maybe it's different but heavy armor, a heavy investment into health, set bonuses that increase survivability rather than damage and mostly skills that give shields armor/resist bonuses and taunts don't leave a lot of room for dps.

I'll admit I'm having much more difficulty with my DW NB then I did before the patch. However, it seems that my Bow play is doing awesome! I was able to solo Public Dungeons before the patch, but not after really working at it. I cleared the PD in Reaper's March Monday with hardly any issue. I'll probably be running around with my bow more than my blades now....

Or... the idea that this game is actually really challenging now is wonderful. I mean... I actually have to work hard to kill stuff, pull things around corners, stealth in behind mobs, watch pats... mechanics!! How cool!

I was so happy with my tank and felt powerful with it. I was really looking forward to getting involved in some of the VR12+ content on my tank and now that has been yanked away from me. Also I made a complete new set of weapons and armor for my VR12 tank about a week ago to have my tank good and ready to enjoy the content that has been around for wile now. But I have been unable to take advantage of it because I was low level.
zenimax are thieves as far as I'm concerned. I HAD something good going and something that I really enjoyed and I spent expensive mats. to make my new gear for my VR12. That is all trash now for the most part. Now I will have to deconstruct my new gear and hardly get back what I put into it. So yeah, I have been completely robbed and would they ever even think about giving me back my mats? Pffft, hell fricken NO! >.<
