can a primarily melee dps work in endgame?

for those of you V10-V16, can a DW dps work? or will you die so much it wont be worth it?

Short answer yes. A lot of high score making ppl use Melee.

Melee yes, dw skills alone won't get you far though. You have to compensate for your lacks with some other skill lines as well, like class skills, world skills, guild skills etc. and at least one more type of weapon.

This game is melee friendly if you can pay attention.

Having said that there are several situations where not keeping a ranged weapon in your back bar will cost you DPS if your talking about DPS'ing

In Dragon Star alone there are giant AOE pools of death that form randomly or are summoned as well as NPC generated AOE's.

But yeah you will have an opportunity to rush back in and smack things around
