I understand the interest in making tanking feel more interactive. But 0% stam regen when blocking is just so incredibly harsh. They should've started at only receiving 50-60% of your regen when blocking, to start. And saw how it went. This fundamentally changes the game for magicka dks. And for all PVE tanks.

completely agree. lambert has been very involved with the community. ZoS is going to be better under his watch. Can't wait to see more of what he does.

Here is the thing. If the new "sweet spot" for making changes in this game is 50 for 50 against, then I would rather have Sage.

I mean sage didn't really do anything. In fact, many of his decisions split the player base. At least lambert is open and honest with us. I barely heard anything from sage. I didn't even know if he was actually working

Well, we have a new change splitting the player base.
New boss same as the old boss?

Just want to say "open and honest"? Did he provide an explanation anywhere as to how this change is such a good one for the long term health of the game?

The difference is that we are much more informed about what is going on and it is obvious that they have been listening to our feedback on IC. Let's not include this one controversial topic for a min. The feedback from players has been heard and reflected in each patch. Although this one topic has split the player base, there are many that do not whether that be we all like or dislike what they did.bowmanz607 wrote: »Personofsecrets wrote: »bowmanz607 wrote: »Personofsecrets wrote: »Deltia and friends where praising Richard Lambert the other night for finally listening to players in ways that Sage never did.

O man this is just knit picky. People keep throwing one line in this guy's face. One line. Imo it is right in front of our face. We learn how to change and adapt to this new mechanic. The game becomes more interactive for a population of players. Once people get the mechanics down, pve will again have a more interactive experience for tanks along with many variations of different group make ups to compensate. Pvp no longer has to deal with cheap *** boring perma blockers. At least w/O having tk spec that way creating drawbacks to it. By long term health he means once the player base l2p, then the overall experience of the players will be better. I agree with that. Not saying everyone will. Imo 3 or 4 months down the rode this will be an afterthought and a non-issue

Personofsecrets wrote: »Well, you see, the nerf meets the "sweet spot" of 50% of players being all for it. That means it is a good thing and justified even if the 50% for are disingenuous in that most of them are not being affected by the nerf.
In 1.7 it is possible to build a tank with ~6k health regen and over 70% damage mitigation. From the testing I've done solo vs'ing sweepers and 1vX'ing enemy players in IC tank blocking is obsolete.
We've also seen today max healing builds that are just as if not more effective for sustain than the above..
It's time to let go of what you're used to and move on to the new meta.

You don't understand. That max healing build has zero potential in pvp. Zero. He literally will have no DPS. It has been tried. Trust mE. Been there done that. Been here since beginning.
If the new meta is a first person shooter and we eliminate a style of play then no thanks.
Darnathian wrote: »When 1.6 came we lost a LOT of players. I don't think as many will leave this time but a lot will if this hits live as is
If DPS builds get their way and this nerf goes through, and the only reason I have heard is because it's annoying and lacks skill, then a lot more will leave.
It is a different play style not to mention latency sucks in this game so you can't pick when to block if your a tank. That latency when you go to press block with a incoming frag for example can decide a fight. So this will make it extremely difficult to play
To see the game live right now in PVP and to decide this is the problem, not the sorc shield stacking meta, or insane DPS from fear using nb's, is irresponsible
This permablocking "problem" has been around since launch. It has not made players leave. The only complaints have been things said like lack of skill. Like Pressing two shields is hard.
Careful what you wish for. Pvp is only fun if you have others to fight. Dk and temars are being made to be impossible to use in pvp outside of group play. So more zergs and less small group play. Overall less players shortly after.
There is no adjustment to be made here. Will be even more DPS builds. Unfortunately for a dk its all dot based. So either stam build using non class skills or go home.
Congrats sorcs and nb's you win. The game is yours.

health regen and max healing only works if the attacks your taking never exceed your health total, manticora laughs at these builds. it was critical to mitigate that damage to points where regen and healing were effective.
being able to regen or heal 30k health instantly means nothing when the boss hits for 35k.
-snipity do da-
-snipity do da-
I don't recall at any point in my post stating anything about stamina problems vs manticora? perhaps you should bold it?
I think I was talking about healing and health regen?
. . .
YUP! I just double checked my post I was talking about healing and hp regen!
so please
Nightblade
PVP
DPS
tell me more about tanking. . .

You are still able to mitigate that damage to points where regen and healing are effective, since in that particular fight you can hold block as long as you want.
Your statement is implying it isn't possible anymore.
Perhaps you should triple check your post.

- Like Eric has said a few times, we're pretty happy with the change - there might be some tweaks, but overall this is something we feel is a really good thing for the long term health of the game.

Our sister guild we started to take our overflow is about 250 strong with about 40-50 active at any time. so perhaps there is a problem with the recruting.

First off, Its a sad day when someone like you is having chats with ZoS for the "betterment" of the game seeing as I have read nothing but drivel from your posts.
Secondly, quality over quantity and quality is few and far between in this game anymore. We have a low population player base, I have yet to read a valid argumentDarnathian wrote: »When 1.6 came we lost a LOT of players. THANK YOU! and Thank you @Personofsecrets for being a voice of reason in this continued argumentative debacle all over the forums. It is truly amazing the stupidity that abounds upon these forums and any time something goes against the GM's opinions is immediately edited or the person is banned. Ive been sticking with this game since early BETA and as much as I will stick around and give the new update a chance with these changes I am not being very optimistic that it will eventually turn out for the best.

You may be happy with this change but it seems some of your customers are not.
