I tested it today and wearing heavy armor seems to increase the CC immunity duration as well. At least accoring to FTC and the visual display (the white circles to your feet). I know it doesn't say to in the tooltip, but it seems its also affected.
I never use this skill anymore as the 5s immunity is completely useless as the cost is so great that it's impossible to have it active for long.

So instead of 5 seconds it's 6.75 seconds with 7/7 heavy armor then?
Does anyone know how reliable Immovable potions are? I've had bad luck current live patch where I'll use it, it's supposed to last 15 seconds but doesn't even last 4 seconds as I'll be feared within seconds from drinking the potion, which is odd - maybe CC immunity works like major + minor buffs? No idea.

Even 5s of CC immunity has value in PvP. And while its cost is high, I can easily refresh the CC immunity long enough to get into a keep, past an ulti-bomb group etc... The resists are just side bennies, not required.

Full tank is boring as shiet right. But why would anyone go full tank in pvp? No one takes them serious, no one is even bother with them. And why we have to take them into account and balance the game based on how they perform? That's just not make any sense to me.
