The Immovable and Immovable morphs thread.

How do you feel about using heavy armor and using Immovable Brute and Unstoppable?





Do you feel satisfied using these ability morphs? If yes, why, if not please say why too.

I think the increase duration is extremely bland and something someone threw together as they stayed at work five minutes over when they were in a rush for anniversary dinner or something, then they forgot to make the morph interesting again.

Immovable Brute? It feels okay when paired with Way of the Arena with a 7/7 heavy character, but that's about it, also remember that the CC immunity from the ability originally was eight seconds, now it lasts less than CC immunity granted from break free.

Maybe one of the morphs could grant 50% stamina recovery whilst blocking? Or something, it's utility, right? Only activates when you have at least five pieces of heavy armor on too. This is just a suggestion off the top of my head, but it could do many things I think, like increasing the stamina restored on heavy attacks, decreasing the cost bash, faster movement speed whilst blocking and so on.

What does the community think and feel about the state of Immovable and its morphs? Let's get this fleshed out in a very colourful manner and maybe even theory-craft up some great ideas to make Immovable interesting, maybe even making heavy armor interesting through Immovable morphs which have better synergy!

I was happy with them till ZoS nerfed the immune to stunning and knock back effects instead of simplely making so you need to oh I don't know wear the correct armor to use the armor skill.

Need a bow to use bow skills a two-handed weapon to use 2H skills so why the bloody bloody don't you need even a single piece of armor to use armor skills.

I understand why it is the way it is; but maybe in relation to what you've said, decreasing the strength of armor skills but increasing the benefits to them from wearing 5/5 and 7/7 respectively, this could be done on a case-by-case basis of course - but yes, I just think the Immovable ones are very underwhelming; Unstoppable mostly as the only thing that extends is the Major Buff(s) duration, not the CC immunity duration? Kaliki pointed out they've tested and it increases the CC immunity, I've never really noticed it so once again, both morphs are pretty underwhelming.

CC immunity duration is 5% per armor piece, so +0.25 seconds per piece of heavy armor equipped.

Light armor passives seem exciting enough though! Which is good as this proves that heavy armor has the potential to be good too.

I tested it today and wearing heavy armor seems to increase the CC immunity duration as well. At least accoring to FTC and the visual display (the white circles to your feet). I know it doesn't say to in the tooltip, but it seems its also affected.

So instead of 5 seconds it's 6.75 seconds with 7/7 heavy armor then?

Does anyone know how reliable Immovable potions are? I've had bad luck current live patch where I'll use it, it's supposed to last 15 seconds but doesn't even last 4 seconds as I'll be feared within seconds from drinking the potion, which is odd - maybe CC immunity works like major + minor buffs? No idea.

5 second immunity for a skill costs almost 4k stamina? No thanks.

I never use this skill anymore as the 5s immunity is completely useless as the cost is so great that it's impossible to have it active for long.

I've used it on the odd occasion for the extra break free cost, sometimes I'll fire it up before charging into Nightblade fear or Sorcerer Crystal Shards, it's amusing seeing Nightblades fear into Immovable, besides that though; it's not very powerful.

Haven't tested on PTS but immovable pots from my experience do prevent fear on live, so you might be bugged there

Agree with OP though, the cc immunity duration is very underwhelming even when wearing 5/5 or 7/7 so personally I would rather use immovable pots and the medium armor dodge ability instead - way more effective imo

The cost of this spell is UNREAL considering you only get a few seconds of immunity. It's actually cheaper to just break free for many builds! ZOS needs to either:

1) Reduce the cost by 25%, at least. Or...

2) Extend the duration to something more useful, like 8 seconds or more.

Not only do I not use this spell since 1.6, I get annoyed every time I notice it sitting above my heavy armor passives, wasting a skill point for nothing

It is another skill that was a victim of poor/knee-jerk balancing. It isn't worth the skill point at the moment. That said, it may potentially be worth using with new the armor master set for someone that is trying to be a super tank.

Omg yes! Stupidity is doubled with this change. And even so, they made sure everyone going OOS faster than ever by adding more unblockable stuns.

Even 5s of CC immunity has value in PvP. And while its cost is high, I can easily refresh the CC immunity long enough to get into a keep, past an ulti-bomb group etc... The resists are just side bennies, not required.

Or players use immoveable potions for 15 seconds of immoveable along with what other effects they have on the potions be health stamina or weapon crits.

Love seeing "tanky" skills cost almost 5k stamina.
Just look at all that stamina tanks have now to spare with "0 stamina regen while blocking".
Such fun and interactive gameplay for tanks when they wont be able to afford using any other abilities than stamina taunt because "ZOS devs who play DPS on every eso live are happy with change"

I think tanks are punished because they are "Anti-fun and uninteresting to play", maybe we will have three DPS and one healer for all content in future? Who knows.

Heavy armor passives and Immovable definitely need something done to them regardless.

Actually I use it on my Sorc in PvP (its not quite as good on the PTS, but still useful) and have surprised any number of one shot wonders with my 'strangely un-cc'able' and Hardened Warded clothy'ness with the resulting retaliation.

I don't see many heavy armoured people using it though, and it was meant for them really, not 'dilettantes' like me... so it really needs reworking for them.

Full tank is boring as shiet right. But why would anyone go full tank in pvp? No one takes them serious, no one is even bother with them. And why we have to take them into account and balance the game based on how they perform? That's just not make any sense to me.

Obviously someone is bothered with them, apparently EGO of NB DPSes, because they constantly whisper to ZOS ears to nerf every tank in game with some "BS" reason.
