Your comment is insightful. Why would ZoS only add 2 veteran levels? It's so little! Why add any veteran levels, especially when they are removing the veteran system at some point???
I think it's partially about their recent moves to make gold improvement mats more rare. First step was move the gold mats from hirelings to refinement. Next step is force everyone to redo their gear to flush inventory.
It's clearly not to give you a richer leveling experience, they are giving you one for no effort...
No it was to make the old sets obsolete, because they don't like people being creative and squeezing the maximum effect out of their gear. Likewise they want you to grind for new gear that come only come close to the optimal gear build you had before so PvE challenges can be more easily controlled in a post-stat-cap world.
They take down caps, and then cap you with gear...0 -

✭✭Disagree with OP completely. I have 3 VR14 toons that I am running and would have to level 6 VR levels instead of 3. Since I have already completed most content on my first toon most of the leveling would have to come from grinding mobs on it which I hate.
I have done enough grinding and leveling in this game.

✭✭✭✭Seriously, OP, you'd be 'gaining' 9 days at the most (that's if someone only logs in long enough to burn up enlightenment.)
I suspect more than 90% of the VR14's have earned an extra 1.7 million XP's since hitting max level a few dozen times over, at least.
(Or to put it in perspective, if you're VR14 and have more than 79 CP's, you've already covered the 850k and then some.)
