Issues Connecting to Console Megaservers - Info Requested

    Seems occurrence happens in different parts of the game, from public dungeons to any place that requires a load to get placed into/out of the area - Specifically was in Reapers Match - Veteran - Ebonheart Pact
    I first got kicked out of the game on Friday August 7th with error msg - require a valid internet connection after I received the "load is taking longer than usual" - which I tried to sign back on to only receive error msg again. I was able to get on for a short amount of time after on Friday only until I tried to go into a new public dungeon which kicked me out of game with same situation. First, load is taking longer than usual and then to main menu with valid connection error. I tried to get on Saturday August 8th, first attempt failed - msg valid internet connection, second attempt (Europe Server) - was able to play without any issues verified I have a valid internet connection, third attempt (back to NA server) - got in only for a short time with same situation as above. fourth attempt - failed. Same with Sunday August 9th - Just tried Monday August 10th with luck

    Also, the issue appears to occur far leas often during off peak hours. I'd get the boot maybe 1 out of 3 times zoning during off peak and be able to get back online in one or two tries. As peak hours approached, that changed to 9/10 times getting the boot and taking upwards of 12 tries before getting back on again.

    Our investigation efforts are still ongoing. For visibility, these are currently the three scenarios that we are focusing on for our investigation:
    • You cannot get past the initial game load screen where you eventually time out and get an invalid connection error.
    • You cannot load specific characters, and you eventually time out and get an invalid connection error.
    • You get repeatedly kicked off whenever you zone, if you can log in at all.

    All the above.

    I would like to play it after work, I really hope you can fix this thing until then.

    His ports aren't forwarded.
    He's on a wireless connection.
    Tell me again how I need to check my settings. Why don't you just drop the servers a day early for maintenance? What, afraid you might upset your paying eso plus members...

    Hello everyone,

    We're aware that many of you are still experiencing issues when attempting to log into the console megaservers. We don't currently have an update, but rest assured that we are still investigating. That said, we'd like to get some information from you that will assist us:
    • Which console are you on?
    • What is your geographic location?
    • What was the last thing you were doing in-game, and where were you in-game?
    • When was the first time you got kicked from the game, and have you been able to get in and play since then?
    • Have you created a ticket with Customer Support?
    We understand this is very frustrating, and appreciate your understanding and patience while we continue to dig into this issue. Moving forward, we'll provide any updates in this thread.

    3. Nova Sky, VR14, is in Craglorn. Lydia Storm, 27, is in Stormhaven (both toons are *not* in dungeons, rather, they're out and about in the zone itself). Nova Sky was harvesting nodes in Craglorn, while Lydia Storm was simply wandering about.
    4. Last time I was able to log on/log off successfully was around 4:30 a.m. CDT Friday morning. I attempted to log on again early Sunday morning, with no success on either character.
    5. No ticket created. What I've experienced is no different than what's been reported by your customers on 21 pages and counting.

    For what it's worth, I am an ESO Plus subscriber on *both* the PC/Mac and PS4. My account took part in the "console copy" that took place upon launch of ESO on the consoles in June. I have had *no* problems logging in and playing Nova Sky and Lydia Storm on the PC/Mac side of ESO. It's only the PS4 side of the equation that's causing problems — problems that I had never encountered prior to this past weekend.

    Good luck, Zeni, on solving this issue. And, really, once you do solve it (and you will), I think it's only fair that ESO Plus customers (at an absolute minimum) receive some form of in-game compensation for this debacle.

    My primary character name Runers I can not remember what he was doing since its been 4 days that I have not been able to log in! He might be be in Cyrodiil or somewhere in pve land.
    And yes ive created a ticket with customer support if you can call it support.

    This problem started Friday and still you plan a server service on a Tuesday 4 days later. Hopefully you compensate all players affected with some crowns. Because 4 days of waiting to play a game is a joke. Online all the time is not working out to great for games on consoles is it?

    One more thing thing for you idiots who are going "I'm spook mad" or "I'm takin this **** game back to game stop" stop and think for two minutes. What would you do if there was a problem no one could figure out but your trying your best and 1000 people were screaming at you. How would you feel. Everyone like that shut up and let them do there job. I'm upset too but I know there trying and your not helping! There probably going to give us crows or eso plus for this anyway. Last time there was a problem for an hour I logged on and have fifteen hundred crows so everyone shut up and if your so perfection it yourselves. That's what I thought. Again good luck ZOS!

    You're* x20...anyways let's see....messed up since Friday, barely any word at all that they even KNOW it's messed up, finally, we get word 2 days after saying "We're looking into it" which is something that should of been said DAY ONE. Now we get it narrowed down to 3 "possibilities" oh...that we've been stating since day one....so we have every right to say what we feel like at this point. PS. You're the idiot

    they are trying now but not nearly hard enough. this has been a big issue since Friday as the massive amounts of posts can confirm. I am following them on twitter as well to try and keep up with any info they are providing and to see a post on twitter 5 hours ago stating "we're currently investigating an issue some players are having logging into the xbox1 EU megaserver. we'll update when new info is available". then within the hour another post stating " the issues related to logging into the xbox1 EU megaserver have been resolved" 2 days after the issues started for NA is like a slap in the face. it took well over 5 hours at least for the issue to be acknowledged and we still sit here waiting for some true info. we already know your looking into it. we want to know what/if we can help at all and how is it that I can log into and play on the EU server no issue and when an issue comes about on EU hours after NA issues how was it fixed so fast? was it really just a simple thing and NA is somehow a catastrophic almost game breaking error? it makes absolutely no sense. many players are being patient and providing as much info about what we are experiencing why can we not get some info back about what is happening? no one likes sitting in the dark just waiting to see what happens. and to getting 1500 crowns for an hour well lets see 36 hours of issue not allowing me to play x1500 well I should be freaking rich when I actually am able to play the game again

    BUT

    based on everything they have communicated I am not confident at all that its a difficult problem that they have been throwing their best at and can't figure out. I don't think they are considering it high priority and I don't have any confidence that there will be any compensation.

    I do think no one was at work this weekend. i also think we have been lied to. I think with the server maintenance tomorrow we might get straight. Then all us fools ( me included will spend our money on the new mount and whatever they put in the store)

    Also what's with the EU mega server fetish? It rarely ever goes down, and if it does, it's fixed immediately.

    I submitted a ticket and would like the gold I lost investing into a guild trader returned. It took my guild 2 weeks to save up 300,000.00 gold and a lot of us haven't been able to play or utilize the trader half of the week.

    Might be time to visit the bbb and start filing complaints with them. Maybe then a human will contact us back unless you talk bad about zenimax and then your get an email saying stop or will ban you. Better business bureau is the road y'all. We're paying consumers who have not gotten what we've paid for. Zero customer service with no real response at all so far.

    I rarely can log in, i created a new character for *** and giggles, it can not login either. there are times i can not even log in to the character screen. when i do get into the game, as soon as I hit a load screen, i get kicked off, which is why my character is now stuck in a dungeon.

    i have been stuck in this same damn cave since Friday night i cant do anything i cant leave because i get timed out every time i fast travel, leave the cave or doing anything FIX THESE DAMN SERVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time i fast travel to see if i can leave the cave i lose gold because it takes the gold but times me out. i want me god replaced.

    I literally had just started playing the game on Friday and so far this game is pissing me off, but I can at least understand, running mega servers is hard and we don't what they're doing to fix this they could be trying really hard or like a lot of people are saying they could be lazing off we don't know.

    Sorry your first days playing have been this turd of a week lol. Don't let it spoil your soup though. It taste pretty good when you don't have a slug in it.

    Zoning from Glenumbra to Stormhaven. I can no longer play that character as of last night.

    Right after the last patch / maintenance and have had difficulties since. I get kicked when loading zones, to include slow or fast travel and logging in to the game.

    No, by the time I got to the forums, I had seen more than enough people who had been submitting tickets. This issue was obviously over reported. The canned responses of unplugging the XBox were enough reason not to bother. Your support is horrible.

    I have been a long time fan of the Elder Scrolls franchise however, at this point I am unsure if the frustration of having difficulty playing after each patch is worth continuing to pay for ESO plus let alone for the new expansion.

    Maybe you should stop spending gold trying to fast travel when there is clearly something wrong with the servers

    Someone else already posted this, but it worked for me so I'm going to post re post so more people can see.
    1. Log in like you normally would (if you can't login this won't help you, I would recommend to just keep trying to log in I eventually go in doing this.
    2. Pick your character and go to a pvp campaign.
    3. Use the wayshrine not the map, to travel anywhere you want to. Don't try to fast travel Using the map, you must use the wayshrine.

    Ever since I've done these, I've had no problems traveling. Previously I would get booted any time I tried to travel. I've been problem free for the past two hours (fingers crossed).

    Hope this helps you guys.

    Ok you guys might find this interesting. I too have been having the same problems as you guys so I just tried an experiment. I got my ps4 online with my cell phones hot spot connection and everything works fine. I fast traveled to different areas and it worked flawlessly. Whatta you guys think? Any techies on here have any speculations as to why this is so? I wonder if this info would help eso somehow.

    Agree 100% and wish more people saw it this way. Yes, the issues stared Friday and people are still having issues 4 days later. That sucks. However, its not the end of the world and it definitely isn't affecting everyone. I was getting booted quite a bit Friday and Saturday but was always able to get back in (guess I was luckier than some) and the servers were still pretty heavily populated so its not an issue across the board.

    Yes, the EU servers had an issue and it was corrected quickly. That doesn't mean ZOS can fix the NA server problem just as quickly. I'm guessing the NA issue is different/more complicated/harder to detect that the EU server issue was. There is no logical reason for them to be ignoring this issues or hopping tomorrows maintenance will fix it. The last thing any business wants to do is upset their customers. I'm sure ZOS will have it fixed as soon as they can.

    As for compensation...get over it. This kind of crap happens at some point to ANY online game/service. I would think most people would be used to this by now. If the game was still P2P I could see them giving you enough crowns to cover a week of ESO+ but with ESO going B2P, unless you're an ESO+ sub now this downtime hasn't cost you anything and ZOS doesn't need to compensate you for it. I would be amazed if they gave everyone 1500 crowns, especially with IC about to release and it only costing 2500 crowns.

    Last thing in game: Traveling between Stormhaven and bangkorai on foot (because wayshrines were not working)
    First game crash: hard to say, game was crashing every few minutes the last i was able to log in. Between 7-8pm PST on friday 8/7.

    Please, move my character's location or at the very least reset my character to stormhaven. Really, any area that's working would be great. Haven't been able to play for over 36 hours now.
