Issues Connecting to Console Megaservers - Info Requested

    Our investigation efforts are still ongoing. For visibility, these are currently the three scenarios that we are focusing on for our investigation:
    • You cannot get past the initial game load screen where you eventually time out and get an invalid connection error.
    • You cannot load specific characters, and you eventually time out and get an invalid connection error.
    • You get repeatedly kicked off whenever you zone, if you can log in at all.

    This is a start. Even though it's way overdue it brings some comfort. With that being said CAN YOU PLEASE SHUT THE SERVER DOWN AND RESTART??? You request us to do this constantly why can't you take your own advise? Only reason we can think of is YOU ALREADY KNOW what is causing this, and rather not waste the time.

    Mark my words, they WILL wait until the scheduled update to even address this. I could be wrong but this seems like a stalling technique.

    can you try and help us understand why this is taking so long? there are a lot of us having all three of those issues and we simply can not even play the game. I am a paying ESO member and have not been able to play the game since Friday night. I think we deserve a lot more information than whats been given.

    Man I wonder what its like at ZOS right now. You think their stressing? like imagine the pressure of a dlc coming out in less than 30 days and you have a large section of your consumer base unable to play for whats looking like 4-5 days. Im doubtful that their slacking off and I'm sure that management level personnel are crushing nuts trying to figure out what is going on.

    One more thing thing for you idiots who are going "I'm spook mad" or "I'm takin this **** game back to game stop" stop and think for two minutes. What would you do if there was a problem no one could figure out but your trying your best and 1000 people were screaming at you. How would you feel. Everyone like that shut up and let them do there job. I'm upset too but I know there trying and your not helping! There probably going to give us crows or eso plus for this anyway. Last time there was a problem for an hour I logged on and have fifteen hundred crows so everyone shut up and if your so perfection it yourselves. That's what I thought. Again good luck ZOS!

    You're* x20...anyways let's see....messed up since Friday, barely any word at all that they even KNOW it's messed up, finally, we get word 2 days after saying "We're looking into it" which is something that should of been said DAY ONE. Now we get it narrowed down to 3 "possibilities" oh...that we've been stating since day one....so we have every right to say what we feel like at this point. PS. You're the idiot

    Thursday 6th August Cannot log in characters. Cannot Zone.

    * I Hard rebooted the console, that let me on once. (got kicked transiting from Cyridill to Auderon
    * I then played on the EMEA Server for a bit, and switched back to the north american server, that let me stay on -- multiple teleports, quests, etc. Logged off normally saturday evening
    * tried to log on sunday -- no luck. tried the two above, still no luck would get suck just before the charater load screen, (right after pressing "play" NA Server)
    * deleted all game data - that now will get me to the character load screen, but will not load past that.

    Yes I have created a ticket with customer support.

    Even so let's be logical here they are not perfect you try fixing it and see your outcome I'm just as mad as you trust me but that doesn't mean we should be missed at them when they clearly are trying and for the robot messages yes there annoying but they don't have time to personally rey to people and maybe those messages have helped someone.

    Xbox one. Yes I put a ticket in. Michigan. Started last night. Any time I log in it says error 315 and if I do get in the game if I try to fast travel anywhere it kicks me offline and says check your internet connection.

    Just an update, if I can get on I can at least travel once but it has to pretty much be immediately upon loading in, Its like I have a good 30 second window before some sort of disconnect from the server happens that keeps me trapped in an area. That being said though Craglorn remains the one place I can't travel to regardless.

    I seem to have found a fix for me. I hard lined my console to the router and my load problems have went away for the time being. Only time will tell I suppose.

    I basically have all 3 of those issues and it all started Saturday evening

    Xbox One

    It's a crap shoot as to whether you get past the NA server screen, then it is another crap shoot to get your player loaded, and again as to whether it freezes up right away if you do get a character loaded, then another crap shoot to load a delve or anything else - if you get loaded you can run around like crazy and do stuff as long as you do not try and jump into a dungeon or wayshrine and then the crap shoot starts again

    There is no rhyme or reason to any of it; other than something broken on zenimax or eso end

    Tried everything from clearing persistant storage which is deceptive if it helps at all because it is all one big crap shoot as to whether anything works at all

    I thought it might be character specific but found out last night that is not the case as well

    Seriously... Come on.. this is an absolute joke and they are just slapping the NA players in the face... They fixed the EU server (shows which server they care about more) ... They tell us to do all this troubleshooting, which we did, tell us to submit tickets, most did, Answered all questions with the information they asked for.....
    BUT has ZOS done anything for the NA server or People?? NO they havent...

    They have not rebooted their server to be sure all services load and communicate properly.. yet EU was fixed...
    If it takes this long to "investigate the issue" then Im sorry you have the wrong people in tech support and working/servicing the server.....
    First step with this many complaint nationwide with same issue - is what.. REBOOT your server and check services as they load!!!!
    Hey, check your files too -- NEVER add an update, fix or do maintenance on a server when it is online with players on it -- thats the best way to get corrupted files!!

    Maybe - since we have ALL done as ZOS asked, They need to follow their own advice!!!!

    This is all about traveling from wayshrine to wayshrine. Now that we know what's causing this, can we get a fix ASAP. Once the kick happens, I cannot get back in for 10-30 minutes. I'd really like to be able to use my Vet Rank 2 character. Thank you.

    Well here's something stupid I can't log in once I hit the char screen it just loads and sends me out since Friday so today I said fug it ima try something so I put my sons name on my ps4 and created a char can zone and everything go back to my account get to char select screen cannot log create a char and it won't log in back to sons account on the same ps4 logs in and does everything fine so there some more info for you zinamax you somn messes up in the account itself

    I'm on Xbox NA server. Last thing I was doing was trying to enter a dungeon with a group before I was kicked three times loading the entrance. I can log into EU server in seconds but NA server says to check internet connections.

    Started about midnight PT. I was trying to leave cyrodiil on my veteran 12 Templar and my game would crash altogether or time out trying to travel to any wayshire outside of cryrodiil. Logged On this morning around eight a.m PT was still in pvp once i got bored i tried to leave to do the vet daily and once again it timed me out for good. I keep getting stuck on the log screen i can make it past both load screens and into the game briefly before getting timed out again. I made a new character on the European mega sever and was able to get in no problem. I am able to load into Glenumbra (cool name for a place) where my Templar was kicked from pvp to but once i try to use a wayshrine anywhere I timeout/disconnect.

    Just came back to say thank you @ZOS_GinaBruno for the update about an hour ago. That sort of thing really goes a long away even if it's just "we don't know what's happening but we're trying, here is what we are doing." If nothing else, it lets me know that you care and that I should stop repeatedly trying to play until I see another update, and that's important as it saves a lot of time and frustration.

    It's the long periods of silence, but even more so the ongoing "make sure your console is plugged in" or "sorry not our problem call Microsoft" customer service responses that come across as disrespectful and anger paying customers.

    If something happened to corrupt so many players accounts

    Wow - they better figure out a way to restore everyones player or something - they have backups and saves

    If corrupted accounts/players are the issue - then eso is going to get some severe negative publicity and lose a ton of money trying to get this corrected - heads are gonna roll

    The complaints and forums are nothing to what will happen if that is the case

    The "go to pvp campaign and then wayshrine" fix appears to work. It's annoying and won't help you get into a quest zone, but for general zone switching it seems to work.

    This is insane that they can't fix this issue. They've had a full business day now with all-hands on deck and nothing. It's not even getting a little better.

    We're aware that many of you are still experiencing issues when attempting to log into the console megaservers. We don't currently have an update, but rest assured that we are still investigating. That said, we'd like to get some information from you that will assist us:
    • Which console are you on?
    • What is your geographic location?
    • What was the last thing you were doing in-game, and where were you in-game?
    • When was the first time you got kicked from the game, and have you been able to get in and play since then?
    • Have you created a ticket with Customer Support?
    We understand this is very frustrating, and appreciate your understanding and patience while we continue to dig into this issue. Moving forward, we'll provide any updates in this thread.

    No I have not created a ticket

    I literally had just started playing the game on Friday and so far this game is pissing me off, but I can at least understand, running mega servers is hard and we don't what they're doing to fix this they could be trying really hard or like a lot of people are saying they could be lazing off we don't know.
