Hahahaha grinding isn't hard. Here is th definition of grinding since you have no idea what it actually means
grind·ing
ˈɡrīndiNG/
adjective
1.
(of a state) oppressive, tedious, and seemingly without end.
"grinding poverty"
2.
(of a sound or motion) harsh and grating.
"the group's grinding, ear-splitting guitar"
Well your comprehension is little off. None of that means it's hard. Things can be tedious, that doesn't mean they are hard. Continuing your education can seem to be without end, but that doesn't mean it's hard. Nice try though!
te·di·ous
ˈtēdēəs/
adjective
too long, slow, or dull: tiresome or monotonous.
tire·some
ˈtī(ə)rsəm/
adjective
causing one to feel bored or annoyed.
"weeding is a tiresome but essential job"
synonyms: boring, dull, tedious, insipid, wearisome, wearing, uninteresting, uninvolving, uneventful, humdrum, monotonous, mind-numbing; More
You got me there, yeah I don't find things that are tedious and tiresome hard to do. Good point. Man that sounds like so much fun to play a video game where to way to get better you have to grind tediously and is so tiresome to do. Man, sign me up
Lots of other games out there, servers are too crowded as it is...
Hahaha good comeback. Or I can voice my opinion on this ESO FORUM in hopes zos sees the validity in my argument and creates a non-cp campaign. What do you think zos would rather me do? Stop playing or come here and try to get a non-cp campaign created?
Hey man, do what you gotta do, just know that while you're petitioning the rest of us will be that much further a head while you wait. Might need a much bigger nerf bat in a month or two when xp doubles+/- for vet levels and two new vrs are released.

Because, in most all of these threads that is what is being argued is someone's choice not to complete a system implemented by ZOS to lvl up your char and make you more competitve in both pvp and pve. If you are choosing not to run the quests why get on here and whine about it? It's not like anyone is forcing you to play this game and nothing is owed to you just for purchasing the cd or dl. Ultimately it's how you decide to play, but if your gonna sit around at a crafting hub or focus on grinding npcs or pks instead of utilizing the quest system than re adjust your expectations. I leveled lvl 1 to vr14 in about a month and a half. I also work a full time job and take care of a family of 4. I don't see how so many people are having such a hard time with this system unless they just dislike the game in which case, by all means, go find something else, at the very least it will cut down the load times for cyrodiil for those of us that do.
We all leveled our toons from 1 to VR14. Now go do ANOTHER ONE... an alt... and then come back and tell us how great the VR system is. I promise you that you're going to want to tear your eyes out of their sockets with boredom by the time you get to VR5, if not sooner.

While I wait for what? I play almost every night, and plan on playing the crap out of some PvP tonight. So how about instead I keep playing the game and petitioning. That work for you? I mean don't be so scared about having to rely on skill instead of your CPs. It will actually make you a better player in the end. Well once non-cp becomes a thing and the PvP population moves to it. But hey in that case you can fight other maxed cp players all day long and those noobs won't get in the way

Lol, no need to be sorry man, I have a great life outside of eso trust me, it's funny though you keep trying to bring that up. Who are you to say I'm wasting anything? Also not sure what you mean by "power" coming from the game but I can tell you that strategically it makes no sense not to take advantage of easy missions to progress your character for pve or pvp. It boils down to this, I CHOSE to complete all content available to me, I'm rewarded for my time. You CHOSE not to, you are not rewarded. Simple as that. You can still go back and earn the same rewards so you don't get face rolled quite as much in PvP but you CHOOSE not to. See how that works? This isn't t ball where everyone gets a trophy. Get over it.

Don't understand what you just check mated me about. I play the way I enjoy playing, and you grind. I'm not in the rat race of CPs. I actuall don't use 28 of the 33 I have now. But if this ends your constant attack on non-CPs, then good you won.
GeneralFlogger wrote: »It's hard to read that through insulting someone personally. I created this post as a means to discuss the leveling system as it stands, not to promote or argue the creation of a separate campaign.
Are we not discussing the leveling system? You think there is nothing wrong with it because you played Star Wars, and I do. So how about we both be right and separate the campaigns between CPs and non-CPs. You game the way you want and I game the way I want
To the OP
I have read several complaint oriented threads that discuss the length of time it takes to get from VR1 to VR14(Soon 16/Xbox). I also since being in the VR system and doing Caldwells silver I find that leveling is slower yes, but while questing I am not even paying attention the progression. I went up two VR levels in Stonefalls.
I have to say I do not understand the complaint about "Leveling in VR".
The complaint concerning CP and the advantage that someone has when they have 100s of CP I cannot speak to. I can say that people that grind hard at life in general will always be more successful. Asking ZOS to allow you to skip the "Hard work" of grinding is ridiculous IMO.

I also think that any kind of levelling should be possible (stop the damn nerfing of spots ppl use) , I like to quest....so let me quest. Let ppl grind wherever they want (away from questing objectives) , equal xp/cp points for pvp (battle levelled in some campaigns) , fishing xp , crafting xp, (and if you're a vet then CP too). The game was advertised as 'Play as You Want' and that is how it should be , who cares how you earn your xp/cp , as long as You are enjoying it.

Except you're not because you're playing a game that won't allow exactly what you want and you're on here complaining to the world that it's not fair like a 2 yo. I ran plenty of pvp pre vr14, in fact most of my experience in PvP is lvl 30 to vr6. You know what I did when I learned it wasn't quite cutting it? I leveled up, went back and earned my last two lvls in Cyrodiil. I didn't go crying to anyone that it wasn't fair bc of the cp system. I didn't want to strip other gamers of their hard earned CP's OR create some safe zone campaign where I could feel like no one else was better than me. I leveled up went back and can now hold my own in many (but still not every) situation. So I don't really see what your trying to argue, you have the ability to be just as viable as anyone else but choose not to.

I get this but you already get xp for doing all of those things, just not the same amount, the game was not advertised as play as you want with no recourse or consiquence. You can still lvl up by doing just pvp just at a slower rate than someone willing to take advantage of using the other aspects of the game to their advantage.

Are we not discussing the leveling system? You think there is nothing wrong with it because you played Star Wars, and I do. So how about we both be right and separate the campaigns between CPs and non-CPs. You game the way you want and I game the way I want
Dude your the one that made this thread as a direct response to me. And I'm crying about anything. I'm and simply saying what everyone knows. This game is a rate race to grind the most CPs. And that isn't good for the longevity of the game. So since I'm a problem solver, I found a solution for the lower level guys and people like me that don't want to join the rat race. This is a game and meant to be enjoyed. You think it should strike your ego. I don't. So a non-cp campaign would solve the issue of you getting on here and having to talk about this, and I get to play in a campaign I would enjoy more. Everyone wins. I mean not sure why it matters to you so much that some people want to play in a non-cp campaign. No one is tell you you have to join it or forcing you to be striped of your CPs. Believe it or not a lot of people don't feel the need to do tedious things on a video game for hours. So people play them for enjoyment

I don't know , even role playing with emotes , whatever, it doesn't matter.
The game was advertised as 'Play as You Want' and that is how it should be , who cares how you earn your xp/cp , as long as You are enjoying it.
(Get off my high horse now)
I get this but you already get xp for doing all of those things, just not the same amount, the game was not advertised as play as you want with no recourse or consiquence. You can still lvl up by doing just pvp just at a slower rate than someone willing to take advantage of using the other aspects of the game to their advantage.
I'm sorry but the game Was advertised 'play as you want' there wasn't a caveat to it, but anyways, I kinda get you want to be only involved in the 'one' leaderboard and you don't want ppl to be able to 'cop out' and play a different game. I get that you think it should be a level playing field.
You have to understand that some ppl want to play a game with their precious spare time that doesn't involve them being railroaded at every corner in pvp (I think the term is 'owned', damn that's offensive) just because they haven't had as many hours as other ppl have.
Ppl want to enjoy their time gaming, not be killed on sight by a 'very good and well deserved, I admit, player' , I'd love to be as good as you, but I'm not. I still want to enjoy my time playing, and dying constantly (while in theory should make me better maybe, but I only have a couple of hours a day) just puts me off.
We need ppl to play this game and like it, whatever their commitment, not put ppl off by killing them instantly, that's just not fun.

Problem solver or complainer? What is an mmo if not constant grinding to achieve an end goal? I mean what game is not made to be enjoyed? What you can't comprehend is that some people like to grind to reach goals, not everyone needs to slap on training wheels and have their hands held because a small percent of the population has an advantage over other new players. My god what multiplayer game doesn't have a leveling system that separates it's population? I get that you don't want to grind but hey, mmos aren't for everyone I guess. And I can't believe that you can't see the irony in calling me egotistical when it's you searching for anyway you can to feel like you're better than others by removing yourself from the real competition involved with the cp system and pvp as it stands. But hey some people always have an excuse for everything. You would be so much better if not for the cp system right? Give me a break.

In what game has this ever been the case? That you can expect to be just as competitive as someone who has gone through and completed the majority of the content when you choose not to.
Same thoughts here, I remember when I finished 100 mining in UO, it took me almost 1 year of play, and here ppl complaining about some months of research in crafting skills. Some days ago , i have been threatened to be beat irl, by a guy that I beat in pvp and he was pissed cause his rank was higher than mine, than calmed down and said me was frustrated by his work and when he loose in ESO get frustrated as well and more. What I mean is yes, there are a lot of frustrated ppl .

It just gets to the point where I don't understand why someone would keep playing a game if they dislike it so much.

Training wheels? Dude PvE is so stupid easy it isn't funny. Ur the one that needs the training wheels because you aren't good enough to able to play without your cp crutches. And cry when people like me, say just give me a server that doesn't allow them. Like doing that would effect you at all. But you still insist on cry over me wanting to play without them.
