Templar heals best heals in the game.
DK wings best reflect in the game.
Huh, almost as if each class specializes in something.
Let's see, DK's reflect shuts down my entire ability to burst dps. On live it's counterable by slotting defensive stance and slowly playing ping pong. On pts the ping pong game is quite laughable as you wont be able to burst through DK scales & heals. When I see a class that is tailored to shutting down an entire mode of play (ranged dd), then yes, it's fair to call that it's specialty.Darnathian wrote: »Teargrants wrote: »Here OP, let me just help you say what you're really trying to say.

LOL. You cannot be serious. Reflect is a dk's specialty? Have it then. The stuff that sorc's say to create smoke and mirrors is so damn funny.
Do you even hear yourself talk?
Sorc is the only class where you can dump everything into magicka and get defense, mobility and offense at the same time. This coupled with shield stacking has been the real issue since forever.
As a game developer, when you give one class the best offense, the best defense and the best mobility (even some of the best healing too, if you know what you're doing) at the same time, you've basicly signed the declaration of failure.
Conjured ward is no doubt too strong compared to other shields and needs to be nerfed a bit, so that would be a good place to start @ZoS

To be honest, having a shield that you can repeatedly spam on yourself to mitigate dmg, it wouldn't matter what it scales off of, any class would be OP having this type of shield; maybe templars & dk's most of all (if it scaled off health)

Lol, pre 1.6 vamp DKs were nearly immortal. Sorcs only had negate and streak to work with.
Sorcs mainly got buffed by the removal of soft caps in 1.6, without softcaps its useful to put everything into a single resource pool.
That having said, most sorcs on live mainly spec for Spell Damage and/or magicka regen which doenst help the shields one bit. Sorcs need decent magicka regen (around 1.6-1.8k) for casting streak and wards. Saying we can dump everything into magicka is simply not true, even with 40k magicka you need at least 2k spell damage to produce decent hitting frags. That leaves your magicka regen around 1-1.2k which is way too low to be able to sustain in longer fights.
If hardened ward needs to be nerfed to restore balace thats fine but give sorcs more ways to mitigate damage, we literally have 1 useful skill to mitigate damage and no self-heal. I still think the best way is to solve the shields stacking issue is to adjust healing ward. Sorcs get rewarded for waiting until 20% health and casting healing ward + shields because the combined shield is huge and restores the sorc to full health after a couple seconds.

So what you're saying is...
nerf healing ward which all classes can use, & leave sorc's ability which they can still combine with healing ward alone o.O
Sorry, not gonna work, as a magic nb I rely on healing ward & I'm sure some magicka dk's do as well.

The game is quite balanced... if you are not an argonian...
For those who have a VR14 Sorc and a VR14 NB, I wonder how many really consider the sorc superior?
I play my NB now. He's better at everything.
Yet, I haven't died to one magicka sorcerer without it being a 2-3 minute fight. I've died to stamina NBs, Stamina DKS, stamina Templars in under 15 seconds tons of times.. Go figure.
Want to be the best at PVP? Want to be Unkillable? Want to have the Ultimate Free Legit Cheat? ROLL A SORC!
Sorc damage shields are the BEST in the Game! There is no getting past a shield stacking, streak streak whoops your dead, & my health is still full as I blink away sorc!
Rule #1 to being a sorc, stack max magic & all max magic period.
Max magic gives you:
#1 BETTER SHIELDS
#2 ^
#3 ^
#4 ^
#5 Increased spell dmg
#6 High resource exhaustion
When winning is so easy, why would you play anything else?
Signed,
-Every Other class in game.
