Since damage is reduced by quite a bit, should regen be reduced as well?

I am genuinely curious as to what you guys think.

As of right now, too many people just can't be killed. The reduced damage gives them extra time so regen is more important.

Should resources be harder to manage to compensate?

That is actually a very good point!

Does this change make regen even more powerful?

I can neither confirm nor deny that I am now using drinks instead of food in PvP.

I'm not asking for nerfs really....

It just seems that there will be so many fights that simply never end.

How we got here is important. Maybe the fights are not ending because of the damage nerf which was implemented in part because of all the beard tearing and wailing about time to kill being so short. And tbh a lot of the complaining was because of poor play, over aggressive play styles, a misunderstanding of combat mechanics, poor builds (not accepting the disadvantages inherit in some builds) and lag.

I do see your logic though. But instead of changing the setting on another knob or dial how about we start with scaling back to 40% damage reduction and go from there.

I think the bottom line is that you can't really change damage and healing and not touch regen without it breaking the system. Regen gets stronger if you weaken damage and healing without touching it.

That's a good way to put it.

Think of it this way: If damage/healing is reduced by half, that is almost (not literally of course) like making regen 2x as strong. Obviously time-to-kill makes a big difference though.

Anyways, it seems regen needs a touch as well.

They've definitely missed the mark in nerfing damage, healing and shields. Definitely moving in the right direction but ALL numbers need to be reviewed and adjusted to coexist with everything else. Right now damage is an awful choice in stat, you're way better off wearing gear and enchantments that haven't been nerfed, such as regen or cost reduction.

Lets get some equality going and adjust all numbers so all builds feel viable.

I really dont think reducing regen (aside from health) is going to help the situation. Thats reducing the amount players can use offensive skills, which ends up lowering potential damage even more.

I know what you mean. But it also reduces the amount of defensive skills you can use as well, so people will have to manage their resources better or they will die.

This way, you can't just spam shields or healing when you get below 90% health, you have to think about it more.
