I think, this is only a mistake and they forgot to add it. Just as 30% damage reduction, 35% healing reduction and 50% damage shield reduction. I thought, they will nerf healing and shields by 35%, but now shield are getting nerfed by 50% even ? Then Sorcerer definately needs Bolt Escape.

I was worried, they wouldn't nerf it. But from 6.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds is so glorious. Now they can't just hide behind their ball and can totally counter every Streak Sorcerer. This ability was a big pain for me and I am glad, that I will no longer have to worry about it. Now Ball of Lightning Sorcs finally have to become skilled and have to learn how to play without this cookie cutter ability. They will still be immune in AvA, as they would spam it anyway. But I can live with that
Basically the best thing about 1.7 so far.

Emma your also right, BOL is core to many PVE Sorc's and they just got miffed as well.

It really doesn't need another cost nerf. Give the BoL orb its needed nerf and let it be.
Actually only the oldest active BoL would protect you so when you were travelling with it you'd often get hit in the back by a fragment because your oldest ball was 20 meters away. Sure this will make dueling a little more difficult for BoL, but overall I dont think it will really impact the effectiveness of BoL.

No, no buffs. Only nerfs sadly. You definately need more skill .
Even know, bolt escape spam is not enough to escape Stamina sprinters right now. in 1.7 it's impossible obviously.
So yea, you have to accept, that you're going to die

Yet another perfect example of a PvP nerf that destroys the PvE game. Did it ever occur to you that Sorcs who never set foot in Cyrodiil were depending on this spell to protect them from groups of mobs that lob heavy damage effects at you every second?
