ultimate-Energy overload

So it takes 64 ultimate to activate.....great!, but why sometimes I only get 2 shots with a light attack, and sometimes I can get around 20-25 light attack shots? Is there a ultimate reserve system for this ability?

UPDATE- seems once you get the ultimate ready, you can keep getting ultimate like a reserve system up to about 5 ultimate worth. Which equals out to be about 34 light shots with it. Is this the way it is supposed to be?

Yes and if you deactivate the ultimate ability before it ends you can us it right away again as long as you don't use it all up first. I've always got the ability active and ready to go doing it that way, works out pretty good. On the PC version with the right UI mods it will tell you what percentage of Ultimate power you have left or still need to build to activate your next Ultimate, and it definitely builds over 100%, I've seen my DK Leap at over 900% before it maxes out. So the sooner you activate it the less you get out of it.

Ok gotcha, because I can almost one shot a small invading force of vet 1-9 with this haha, just seems a lil op.

You can store up to 1000 ultimate. Depending in your skillpoints spend (ultimate cost reduction) and gear you wear (e.g. Dominion set), one light attack costs about 23-25 ultimate. So if you charged it to the maximum you are able to shoot about 40 light attacks.

By the way: Overload is the only ultimate that uses the full ultimate pool effectively. All other intimates consume all ultimate once they are activated, instead of leaving the rest for other ultimates.

As @Gil.Galad said. However from my experience the cost for a single overload light attack is 22 ultimate regardless of ultimate cost reduction. It has been a while since I tested it though.

It doesn't track the target. It works solely by aim. If someone isn't running right at you or standing still you will miss most of the time. It can also be reflected, which is hilarious, even better if you time Eclipse just right.
