Since you copied Diablo's treasure goblin, why not just copy FFXIV LFG?

lestaudenmaierub17_ESO
ZOS...just copy the LFG system from FFXIV.
  • XP is higher than doing normal mob grinding.
  • Double XP for your first run each day using the LFG and selecting random dungeon.
  • XP bonus if a person in the party is running the dungeon for the first time.
  • XP bonus if you are a "class in need". Basically, if there are a butt-ton of DPS and healers in que and you are a tank, you get another XP bonus on top of all the stuff above if you que.
  • Que timeout of 30 minutes (or something like that) if you drop the party before completing the dungeon.
  • Commendations players can hand out to other players who they feel did a great job in the dungeon. Commendations can be turned in for pets, titles, etc.

Basically, these changes, when implemented, made dungeon running the best source of steady XP in the game and que times are quick. Even DPS only takes about 30 minutes a pop and tanks/heals are less than a minute.

Hmm it appears i missed the rather obvious treasure goblin in my play through, could you enlighten me to where i can find this?

Your suggestions seem like a good idea but, healers/tanks are always going to be the class in need, people in this game are selfish so i don't think the commendation system will work, if you buff dungeons so much then people will forget questing and running the same dungeon over and over will become the new meta (sounds similar to grinding but instead of 1 mob just a dungeon)

Dungeons are already being used and have already been used to grind exp quickly and extremely efficiently.

A positive group finder is an essential and integral part of an MMORPG experience.

A good group finder will retain players, help reinforce community, encourage people to do stuff together whether it be solo, helping out friends or even people talking in Zone chat.

For example; high level players could chill in Auridon, extremely bored and join groups of new, green players for Banished Cells, they would select role of "Mentor" or whatever and basically help give advice to new players on how to clear dungeons whilst not one shotting everything in the dungeon, instead of typing sentences in Zone basically saying "l2p by do this" they would be visibly demonstrating stuff and so on

There's so many things a good group finder experience can accomplish. There's no care or thought which has gone into current group finder, it's lethargic, robotic and un-organic with a wealth of inconvenience.

High level players could just "Mentor" really low level dungeons for really small exp from the dungeon itself, getting a bonus upon completion which would be beneficial to a high level character; obviously this would be too complicated and time consuming for Zeni to do, but simply being able to "Mentor" up and clear dungeons with low levels could be fun.

    Similar to FFXIV Fate levelling.

During the presentation at Quakecon they said they will be adding treasure scamps in the Imperial City. These scamps will appear and immediately start running away. If you kill them they will drop lots of loot. If you don't, they will create a portal and disappear. Sound familiar?

Yeah, Imperial City is already going to be like Whimsyshire. A fruity looking place, with people running around killing carebears. Now they need to add the Cow Level.

This ! My experience with the LFG on PS4 is as follow ( I TRIED to use it 3 times and gave up ):

    - Get a group
    - Do nothing for 5 minutes, no one saying anything on the voice chat and no one going anywhere BECAUSE IT DOESN'T TELL YOU WHICH DUNGEON THE GROUP IS FOR....
    - Someone drops/leader disbands
    - ???
    - No profit....

Give random CP-boosters as reward, green 50%, blue 100% purple 150%, legendary 200%, thats ESO. Also get rid off the boring old style group finder and let us put NPC recruiters for dungeons, craglorn, dsa, trials, pvp raid/groups. That creates social hubs, and you can even later put mini-games to social hubs, like Elder Scrolls Legends. Would it be fun to sit in Tavern and play it and drink Skooma. Just what people have hoped for years already. Sacrifice traditional group-finder is small price to pay. Its the uberness itself.

I always like DDO's grouping tool which was more like a job board. A person starts a posting that will include the intended quest or dungeon and becomes the leader, they can put a note requesting something specific for role or class, or whatever they would just like to say in the note. People then request to join, the leader can accept or deny.
