Lets make in rain in Azura, since we know there will be enough people present.

Alessia Bridge sounds good to me too.

    Red Start at Sej
    Yellow Start at Alessia
Blue start on the bridge between ROE & Alessia

To make this work though, we'll need a representative from each faction; So we can communicate with each other. Is there anyone on the red and yellow side who can take on this role?

Honestly...if you did this on PTS when it goes up to hammer the LOS changes, that would be lovely.

why cant your 120v120 bots do that...wtf man.. just give the order and let them spam it - u ll see how it works then.

Why are performance tweaks needed on PTS? Why does LIVE have to wait for testing? I stopped PvP'n months ago because of the state it's in right now. Last night I went in on an alt and crashes 4 times in 3hrs of playing. The lag was horrible and it became unplayable, no skill were working, weapon swap took 5-10 secs and I just gave up. And now I see we have more crown store items and yet somehow we gotta wait, in an unplayable LIVE game for testing on a PTS for performance? lol

Would LIVE players right now reject the idea of LIVE testing performance tweaks? Would it really make anything worse? lol

Why don't we try it with each skill separate:

    Healing springs

    Caltrops

    Meteors

You know, it's kind of stupid we ALL KNOW which 3 skills break the game, but they're still available... I wish all 3 were just removed while we waited for this fix.

Please do not do this on Azuras. Azuras is the most competitive server. Should this stress test actually affect the lag and incite server vulnerability, this will affect everyone. To do this stress test on a competitive server is very inconsiderate of those who want to actually PVP. Furthermore, you cannot test on a server that is active because this is not a controlled experiment. There could be large fights elsewhere on the map skewing your data and rendering it useless.

We still have a travel to player function. For the consideration of everyone else and the validity of your experiment, you should really consider doing this test on a dead server.

Except you will be competing for spots in the population caps to try this out, and there will be a lot of people who either can't be bothered to do it or won't want to. Not to mention lag doesn't just dissipate that easily, especially at 11 PM on a Saturday night.

Your much better off doing this on a dead campaign like Jules suggested, you will be isolating this as the only thing happening, where on Azuras there will be battles constantly going on around the map that contribute to the lag.

I'm so down. I'll be there on DC, spamming flappy flaps. Since no one has proposed a time/location, can we do it tonight at 10pm EST on the alessia bridge in Azura's?

Azuras is way too crowded, unless AD has sej there will be a constant flow of EP/AD and it would be very hard to organize it without the people who don't know what we're doing attacking everyone they see.

I say the Ideal servers would be Thorn/Chill.

I'm not doing this on Live, nor guild or friends.
    Not happening.
Dev asked for PTS test. We all talked about PTS test. We know its a small server, we doubt its relevance, I understand. Still...

Doing this on Live, on the only competitive campaign ( that can bring enough of all factions) is just grossly unfair to those regularly there*. Besides, we all know it lags out the servers NOW. No need to test it.

*Note: I'm not there often, though it's my home, I stopped playing consistent PvP with the blinx exploits.

I'll be surprised if we can pop cap all three sides on the PTS to test this and if so, I think we'd need more than just meteors. Usually when there is lag, a lot of going on, keeps being seiged, seige engines of various types landing all over everyone, heals, various types of damage, reactions from armor sets and champ points, other ultimates, etc.

I understand you don't want the lag and want to be competitive in the campaign, etc, etc. I honestly don't think the small amount of time we are going to do this on one day is going to affect the competitiveness.

With that being said, I would like to thank you and all of Azura for the small sacrifice we shall all make this day while we summon the Daedric Prince of Lag into Azura.

Your going to cause people to rage and quit at best, at worst you will crash the server. Not to mention you are going to try and flood an already competitive and often pop locked campaign with people who don't normally play there. I'd be shocked if you could even get everyone who wants to do this inside, let alone people who don't care for this to not come and attack you.

Take this to another dead server aka Chillrend where this can be an isolated test. You wanted to test meteor right? Then why would you test it in a campaign that has so many other variables going on at the same time...there is seriously zero sound logic in doing this on Azuras during primetime on a Saturday night.....

With that being said, I would like to thank you and all of Azura for the small sacrifice we shall all make this day while we summon the Daedric Prince of Lag into Azura.

    Thanks for reading.

So.... I should put you down for "not attending"?

Everyone who has posted in this thread knows exactly what will happen. Wheeler and everyone else at ZOS knows what will happen. Ping goes through the roof - game does not function.

The question I want answered is why they have to wait until a major update to put in fixes. When most companies makes a defective product they take instant measures to rectify it (usually). If the fix doesn't work they immediately work on something else. On here they blame Bambi.

Out of curiosity, this will be on a mostly unpopulated server right?

I'm saying Azura just so we know each side can bring huge numbers.

Meah, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to do. And hopefully we have buy in from other sides, or there's no point to try it. We're just not going to be able to rally a full 3 way pop lock on another campaign.

That just tells me that this is more of a publicity stunt than it is about actually helping people.

    This was Crowns idea.

Also, it's gotten the attention of Brian Wheeler. I would bet the devs will be looking at the server to see what happens.

I understand you don't want the lag and want to be competitive in the campaign, etc, etc. I honestly don't think the small amount of time we are going to do this on one day is going to affect the competitiveness.

I see my point was well made.

Nope, not on Azuras or Haderus.

Anything they put it now needs to be tested before release. It then again needs to be tested before the IC release. That's double the work, which means that either A. other stuff has to be pushed out and not ready for IC, or B. they just increased their workload further and won't get much sleep for the next few months if they are getting any at all to meet the deadline.
