Gankers not a problem in numbers? Oh I'll just wait for the slow guy in back who is sending a text or talking to his wife and BAM, free stones.

Dont forget damage is being greatly reduced in Cyro as well. Ganking will not be nearly as quick as it is now.

They arent greatly reducing damage. Simply making changes so that insta-deaths arent as common. Youre still going to fall rather quickly.

Since its the killing blow that gets ALL the stones I cant see anyone playing a healer in IC....

The announcement and information since ESO Live all have said in groups they are shared. So, why not?

They are shared for killing Mobs. Not for killing Players.

    You cant do that.

TV stones will have their own separate counter and they will be "outside" of inventory. Cant get rid of them. They had to make sure PVP gankers will be satisfied with new harassment game mechanism.

They dont go in your inventory. You wont be able to destroy them.

    Well that's no fun :P

I hope you can go from the new dungeons right to your alliance safe zone, that way you can grind TV in the dungeons then head home without fear of gankers.

Nope, ZOS took care of it aswell.

TV stones can be looted only in PVP mixed areas. No TV stones in dungeons.
Thats how fun is the new harassment mechanism

People will be able to trade them... Want to buy 1000 stones? Ok meet me at location (what ever) and I will let you kill me...

You gave me an idea to change the title to brainstorm how to exploit the system so it can be addressed before it becomes an issue. So lets hear all the ideas everyone has!

Of course, there can be a fine line between "exploit" and "creative use of the system."

If you watch the ESO Live stream, they addressed "boosting" and the buddy-buddy system of exploiting Tel Var Stones.

Thought that was just that the multipliers won't work on looting players.

Even that simple implementation is at least something. I'm sure that with player feedback and PTS testing, anti-griefing and anti-boosting measures will be put into place, or a diminishing return on it.

They giggled as they called it ganking. Theyre aware of its griefing nature and they look forward to it.

This is what I find to be the most disturbing. The fact that the ZOS employees themselves think something this stupid is funny. This feature should be flaggable is they leave it in at all. That might get people like me to at least think about resubbing or subscribing.

Lol as if my pvp build just cannot handle pve mobs. LMAO. The stones do not come from the group instances FYI. It didn't look like the sweeper they ran into in the city was anything like a memorization, beat the rage timer boss. I'm sure us poor little PVPers will find a way to kill them scary monsters in an are where we can be with a full raid.

Did they say that on the forums or in the ESO live, so I can find it? I want to hold on to the hope that's not true :(

I pointed exactly same thing out in my post. That this new mechanic only promotes unhealthy behaviour and harassment. Suddenly moderators started deleting my posts because "forum is a place of nice people and healthy atmosphere" or something like that.

It baffles me that they want a perfect community on forums while they put things into game that poison their own community and promote antisocial behaviour, ganking, harassing, leeching on others work.

Its a common trend i've noticed. The disconnect between devs and the overall player base, as well as the lack of communication do little to help this problem.

Oh my god. Do you guys think any of us speaks for everyone? They probably couldn't help but laugh at all the crying about ganking in PvP content. I don't know how anyone who really PvPs isn't used to ganking as just being part of life. There's ways to deal with it and you don't always win so yes; it is hillarious that people are so up in arms about it.

I'm well aware that we don't speak for everyone. However, I see nothing funny about this. I'm not buying this. I know others who won't either. Unless that changes, I want nothing to do with it. I have no idea how many this mechanic is a complete absolute no for, but considering the different people who are posting, it could be a sizable minority. Just because there are ways to deal with it, doesn't mean everyone can use that. A number of people, including me, are disabled in one way or another with specific disabilities that slow down our reaction times. Those methods of avoidance simply are not possible for us.

Not sure if this is possible in ESO, but an exploit I've seen used a lot in another MMOG was instant logout as soon as an enemy player attacks (or even as soon as another player is nearby).

Never tested what happens in ESO when you hit Alt + F4, but if it's possible to instantly log out with a character in the Imperial City in any way, that could possibly be abused.

Would definitely be worth testing but it seems in non-safe zones, you get a warning that you can be killed if you use the quit now option. I imagine your character stays attackable during that time.

    Will have to test.
