the forums are already quite negative.
Don't mind a button as long as it's not a ranked post, hidden post system. Let people disagree button all they like but DO NOT make it rate posts as relevant or irrelevant. That's where the misuse will come from.
Additionally did ZOS remove the LOL button because it was being abused for this reason, if you're going to bring back the dislike bring back the LOL as well.

Besides you can see clear enough when people agree and disagree with the current system. If anything maybe people should use the "Poll" option more if they really want to see more accurately who agrees and disagrees.
I do like the "LOL" button though, should have that again.
For what it's worth, Reddit has upvote and downvote buttons and the "atmosphere" on the game's official subreddit is like night and day compared to here. I'm not saying which is better or which is a more accurate representation of reality, but night and day. Come join us:

because the votes are anonymous.
if the vote will be open and followed by a meaning comment, then the posters will take care about their reputation before make a vote.
trasparency make us a better persons.

You honestly believe that? In reality it's people's thoughtless comments that cause these threads to blow up.
Hmmm, folks are disagreeing with others and explaining why?
... and here I was, practicing for the inevitable return of the "disagree" button.
I think having an option to show disagreement is preferable for people who cannot otherwise articulate their thoughts in a constructive manner.eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »BurtFreeman wrote: »Personofsecrets wrote: »ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »For what it's worth, we are exploring the possibility of bringing the Disagree button back.

It's a mix of both if you ask me. You have thoughtless, careless people who genuinely don't care about others on the internet who say things, then you have the tools for them to push it even further.
transparency doesn't always make us better people, it also allows people to protect themselves from repercussions when they say what they really thing, or to do what they feel like doing. This is why people post on alts and alt accounts on forums and stuff.
They are using the transparency and animosity of the internet in their favor. However positive or negative this is depends on the person in question.

Hmmm, folks are disagreeing with others and explaining why?
... and here I was, practicing for the inevitable return of the "disagree" button.
I'd be doing both personally. I fall udner the "If I feel storng enough I'm going to post anyway." category when it comes to this particular discussion. Others? Not so much. I'd just drop my opinion in a click of a button and go back to the rest of the forums.

My multiple "Disagree" posts demonstrated the absurdity of simply disagreeing with someone, without bothering to state why.

And simply "agreeing" with somebody without articulating why you agree with them is better? Doing that just makes you a sheep.

Let's take a look at that in detail:
Poster A: I really enjoy ESO, and it has a lot to offer
Poster B: I agree, because ... well ... what you said.
