I agree, they need to stop this "immersive" nonsense because clearly it's not working. Focus on making this a solid MMO. Are you going to tick off some of the Elder Scrolls fans? Sure, that was always going to be the case.

Make an MMO in the Elder Scrolls universe. Not a Elder Scrolls game in a MMO universe. Because the 2 naturally don't fit, an Elder Scrolls game is a single player experience, who wants that in an MMO. NO ONE.

It's time to *BLANK* or get off the pot here. Pick a build and go with it. Hybrid builds sucks. Make this game a full fledged Fantasy MMO set in the Elder Scrolls universe.

    -Text Chat
    -DMG/EXP Numbers
    -Auction Houses

Standards and staples of every MMO out there. You're like 90% there. It's crazy when a game that's lets face it, isn't doing all that great, and the developers still think "We know what's best" or "We have a vision". Zipper Interactive did the exact same thing with Socom 4 and where are they now?

People are enjoying your game, but for how long? Listen to your fans, give them the experience that 90% of them are asking for and they will in turn continue playing your game for years and spending money on it. Whether its DLC or Crown purchases.

Finally ruin the game in one easy step.

If you want to play a WoW style game play WoW.

If by "WoW style game" you mean a functioning MMO. [...]
Even without addons on the console version, ESO is still a functioning MMO.

Now I do agree that a text chat would be immensely helpful (along with other things...), but additions like dps calculators and the like are far from necessary in the game.
But things like a personal buff/debuff tracker and non-linkable floating damage numbers would be nice.

as of now players on console are at a massive disadvantage without knowledge of our dps and other such things they should be implemented in near updates as part of the games actual features and not as add-ons (since these features should have been implemented anyways)

If you can't beat something just because you don't have addons then you need to improve your build/skill.

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. Tell me Einstein how is one supposed to improve their build when they can't tell how much damage they're doing, how much damage they're mitigating, how much they're healing for, etcetera? If I change my build how am I even supposed to know whether it's better or worse than it was before? The UI (or rather the near total lack of it) makes improving impossible.

Lol, 5 bucks says you just watch a youtube video for a build video, anyways.

You do not need add ons. You want them. With that said, I know exactly how much damage I do. When I hit you with my fire ball it does about 2000 damage. When I hit you with 6 of them you're dead. That's all you really need to know. Also, this is how I heal ... if my friend is on fire I heal him. If I just got hit with a meteor I hit X and I heal myself. I know I can do this because I have a health bar that is no longer full.

Everything you NEED is already there. What I don't WANT is for a bunch of people to get 1000 times better at this game than their talent allows because of add ons. Lastly, does everyone realize that asking for add ons is no different than begging everyone to have the same build? Take a few lumps and get better via practice.

    Exactly about 2000.

Also, apparently you want to play CoD or something...

It's really hard to eyeball the benefits of a lot of passives and skills without more information considering the vast number of tooltip bugs, and ill-described stat systems. You can't say "I know this skill will give me some more damage" half the time because it's not always clear what it's even benefiting. It says magic damage but it scales from my weapon damage, unless I swap out gear and my magic damage is higher since it scales from whichever is higher... and my buff improves my damage AND my crit rating but does crit rating directly apply to damage for the sake of passive bonuses or only when the attack crits, in which case does it use weapon crit rating or magic crit rating and which damage bonus does it gain to the crit damage being that I gain bonus crit damage to magic attacks...

The games systems are astoundingly convoluted and opaque. You can't even reliably google information on a lot of them considering how far back most results go, and the wiki's are all user maintained. There's even debates over whether the addons give accurate feedback in some cases.

An official solution to what your stats actually are would be great.

But I guess if you want to go experiment on cost of 10k+ respecs that's up to you. I don't personally even have interest in PvP, I just enjoy minmaxing my solo PvE capability.

Some very good PC streamers play with few to no addons, including in PvP. So it's definitely possible. I also know plenty of PC players who disdain addons because they genuinely like the barebones, immersive base UI.

But I vastly prefer a heavily modded version, so I'm happy to have chosen the right platform for me.

I used to use an add-on only to show numbers on health bars so I see percentages. That was it.

I'd be so content if this, maybe something similar to Lootdrop as well was added into the game.

This topic has been discussed quite a few times since the console port, and I think the general consensus is addons = good, or at least certain addons potentially becoming optional parts of the UI e.g. seeing exp / AP / damage dealt and received sort of thing.

Maybe his friends play on console?

Add ons are not as big of a deal as people make it out to be but I too would also like the option to see the damage I do or when I get a crit etc. it's hard to optimize your build without these things.

Yes let trun ESO in to other WoW clone for god forbid to play in MMO that dont have same feature as every other MMO out there and I think it is funny how people think that cant play MMO with out show number and honest how would that spoil that game for you if dont you know how much dmg, exp, crit your get.

MMO is more then just show number but hey if want play game and listen to other whine how bad dmg, crit you make i would suggest you try out WoW where every noob sit whine about other people dmg output and crit instead of focus on the game.

Btw if you have been play this game since it launch this should not be any new news to you for it have been like this since day 1 and it was so even in beta and if you are new to game learn to live with it.

i play console for the social aspect

    Which differs from PC how?

This topic has been discussed quite a few times since the console port, and I think the general consensus is addons = good, or at least certain addons potentially becoming optional parts of the UI e.g. seeing exp / AP / damage dealt and received sort of thing.

Maybe his friends play on console?

I'm in highschool and as much as I like pc games/gaming the kids who like pc gaming are either socialy challenged or have a vast superiority complex that I can't stand (at least the ones I know)

lol.....damn you just opened up "Pandora's Box." Good luck kid! I like them both, but I'm definitely not touching the subject about elitism.

The point is: ESO supports these add-ons and has a forum subcat dedicated to them. They gave console the same game that PC has. Nothing is easier or scaled down for us (console players). Even though they didn't make add-ons, they could easily implement them into the UI. We aren't asking for everything. We aren't asking for Skyshard and Lorebook locators. We aren't asking for Undiscovered. We are asking for simple things that 90% of MMO's come with.

    1. Experience numbers like experienced gain, needed, and accumulated. VR 1 with 594,786/1,000,000 experience doesn't seem so hard implement. Turned in a quest and +24,936 experience.
    2. Buff and debuff trackers. With everything going on in VR content, it's difficult to know which mobs one has taunted and how long some of the taunts are going to be in effect for. Knowing when your buffs are going to run out is also crucial.
    3. Health, Stamina, Magika numbers. Damage numbers (dealt and taken). Critical hit notifications. Something to track your dps. When gearing for High end VR content, knowing what dps you can pull with what set-up is absolutely imperative and using the correct build for optimal dps can be the difference between a gold key and a silver key run. It's near impossible to optimize your set-up because it's so difficult to tell which set-up is doing more dps.

These numbers are already in the game. They are just hidden. Under your abilities, it shows how much damage they will do. On your character sheet it shows you your critical hit ratio. Enemies have a certain amount of HP and resistance. When you attack, all of these numbers are calculated. All we are asking is for the innate numbers to be fleshed out of the game. I'm sure ESO could easily put these UI changes in the game.

Btw if you have been play this game since it launch this should not be any new news to you for it have been like this since day 1 and it was so even in beta and if you are new to game learn to live with it.

god forbid this game becoming an mmo... im not asking for special features as much as i am asking for values that should be included in the game, do you not think its ridiculous that we cant even see how much our crits do? obviously we console players should just learn to live with it like you PC players, o wait you guys couldnt handle the game in its standard form so you created add-ons

and of course add ons kill immersion, its for the competitive aspect of the game for the competitive players both in endgame pvp and pve and we want to play to the best of our abilities but its hard since we dont know when our abilities are up (buffs and debuffs)

PC games played by year vs Console games played by year, with % change from previous year.
    • PC 2005 - 568,968 VS Consoles 2005 - 48,621,847

You must be fun at parties.

Ps. You're taking the term "kid" too literal.

i said kids who play pc are like that because i only play with people my age, why would i want to socialize with grown men and their personal issues that come with them, ill be there one day but for now i want to enjoy the game not treat it as a way to show that i am better than everyone else by one upping every person i am in a party with, as older people (that ive played with) tend to do
