Craft, play around with inventory, dye anything new (or try out a new color scheme). It's also fun when I see others who have gathered around to do the same, because I get to take a sneak peak at what colors they choose after dyeing.

Did not realize looking at the map and seeing the dye station icon was hard lol O_O

Ya, I guess. Just kinda like the way with a dye in your pack. You could still have it the exact same way, where different acheivments unlock colors, just the dye tub would be in your pack... not buying different dyes. I guess after a year of playing I'll be able to remember where all the stations are.

It's not difficult knowing where they are. When you use your map, you can roll over the icons to double check where it's located. Very easy to find out, and no memorizing is involved (although you'll naturally remember over time if you use it enough, of course).
What is up with the immature responses on these boards? This game doesn't consume my life, I don't know the ends and outs of every aspect. I didn't even know there was a marker for where dye stations were. This is probably the 10th time I've gotten responses like this on this board and I see it all the time. Is it really your guys' jobs to point out a question you deem "stupid"? I play a few hours a day... I had no idea the community would be filled with this. The last mmorpg I was into a lot was Ultima Onine some 16 years ago, and used to ask questions in the beginning of that and recieve a lot of help in figuring things out. Next time you go to respond to a "stupid" question, maybe ask yourselves, "does it really matter"?

ok, honestly does it really matter there are dye stations? Why does it matter you do not have a tub to carry around? Dye stations are easy to get to and align with the overall crafting concept use of other stations.

Why alchemy stations? Why not just have a cauldron that you carry around?
Why cooking fires? Why not just have a tinder box and iron pot that you carry around?
Why clothing stations? Why not just have a needle, thread, and shears that you carry around?
Why enchanting stations? Why not just have an etching kit that you carry around?
Why woodworking stations? Why not just have a saw and some knives that you carry around?
Why blacksmithing stations? Why not just have a portable forge that you carry around?
Okay, I'm sorry. You could of put the same tissue box on all my posts around console launch. I cried on here for 3 days. Honestly though, people are just joking around. I would rather be with a community that laughed together than be all serious. There are a lot of post on here that get serious answers, but others like this one that people joke about. No one is trolling, they are just having a good laugh. If you had a real issue, and not something petty, then you would of gotten more reasonable responses. Anyways, Fartman, I do apologize.
To get back on topic, I like the dye stations the way they are. Inventory space is already packed, I would hate to have to carry something else like this around or bank it and use up space.

Those were done in Oblivion... Alchemy had four apparati that you had to have in your inventory to do alchemy. Each one conferred a different bonus to your potions. Mortar and Pestle, Retort, Calcinator, and Alembic are the apparati. Blacksmithing, called Armorer back then, involved Repair Hammers you kept and used in your inventory. They would have a random chance of breaking after use, determined by your skill and immediate surroundings. Being near a flame increased the durability restored per use and being near an anvil decreased the likelihood of breaking a hammer.
While I'm at it, when you held a torch near a lock in Oblivion, the tumblers moved more easily and were less prone to snapping your lockpick in half.
Learned all that by reading books on their respective subjects.
