The game crashes when I open my inventory and cursor over a recipe, one that I already know.

4 crashes in a row now while trying to use the Cooking Fire in the Belkarth Inn. Guess I'll try a different fire.

That's not likely going to help you. It seems anything Provisioner related is crashing the game. Recipes, cookfires, etc. Well, maybe not materials.

I want to know how in god's name this mess made it to the Live server. This is ridiculous.

The only transaction I have found that works is riding skills. Every other type of transaction is crashing the game. Cooking, selling, buying, etc.

crashed while looking at my bank inventory. I crashed 3 times when attempting to use a cook fire, then gave up.

Bankers...they make you crash...Zenimax literally broke the bank. Its a bad patch Zenimax, get a fix whipped up, pull the server down and patch your patch.

I wanted to report that this is also happening in Rawl'Kha Inn. I've sent in 2 crash reports explaining this, but wanted to put a notice here as well.

Not all bugs can be found on the PTS since the coding is different. When they do a potential patch on the PTS the do a clean install of the game. SO it doesn't have millions of extra data in it from players or other various things. So bugs can slip through and this is just one of the reasons that it could have.

So, I'm in same boat it seems...

    NA server
    No addons
Any interaction with inventory whether trying to sell or just 'look' at is crashing
Instant crash on trying to use cooking fire.
    Repaired 2x's with no improvement.

I was able to get provisioning writs.
Initially i was able to buy something from a store and receive it and put it into bank. then NADA.

It's clearly to do with seeing a recipe.

If you see a recipe in your inventory, crash.
If you see a recipe in a container, crash.
If you see a recipe in a store, crash.

I tried for a bit not to see a recipe, but then I stupidly opened my inventory and saw one. Crash.

Not sure how it happened to the one person while swimming, unless someone threw a recipe in the water.

    NA server. Addons disabled.

The servers need to be shut down and repaired immedietely. The game is unplayable. It isn't just hovering over recipes, the game is crashing while interacting with almost anything.

Everyone, this is directly tied to hovering over recipes in your inventory. We are working on a fix right now, but in the meantime, please avoid said hovering. Thank you!

LOL so Zeni's advice is "avoid looking at recipes until we've fixed it"

Nice one, pity my inventories and bank all have recipes. Very unhelpful. Just take the server back down and fix the issue, or roll back the patch if it cannot be fixed within a short period of time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this patch was never pushed to the PTS. In fact the vast majority of these incremental patches never go to the PTS, they are 'tested' internally, then pushed directly to Live. It's understandable for bugs to slip through here and there, and with small bugs it's generally of little immediate consequence. This, however, is no little bug ... they have essentially broken the game with an 'incremental' patch then never saw the light of day on PTS ... perhaps they need to either start testing these incremental patches on PTS to get a better idea of issues before it goes to Live, or re-evaluate the way they do internal testing. A bug that breaks a large portion of customers games should never get released to the Live environment.

I haven't hovered over ANYTHING. My client is crashing every time I try to use a cooking fire. Other people are crashing just trying to look into their bank.

As above ... I have no recipes in my inventory to hover over at the moment ... this is bigger than just that, just so you all are aware.

EXACTLY. Having used test servers with other games having the ability to /charcopy a fully leveled toon to the test server was vital to try out every aspect of new items before they went live. no idea why this isn't the case with our PTS.

I can echo others' comments that this is not just recipes. I was just looting containers in the Coldharbor bank and I crashed, just as everyone else is reporting.

Just updated the main sticky thread, but it appears as though this may be tied to just looking at a recipe icon, not even hovering over it. Stand by, we're working on a fix now.

And I just crashed again while looting -- but noticed this time that one of the items being looted was a recipe. So this fits in with your update on the crashing about it being recipe related anywhere.
