They look to be the same price to me:

I'm assuming it has to do with tax and the local laws.

Thank you for posting this - this again makes me think there is a mistake with the UK pricing, rather than them just charging more on purpose...

It can't be tax related because PSN and PC would have the same tax; this is why I think it's a conversion error for the UK price and it shouldn't be this expensive.

I think this is actually Zeni being greedy not Microsoft or Sony, cause I play another game called Warframe that as a micro-currency called Platinum and its the same price on PC, xbox and PS3. I'm sure Sony and Microsoft take a cut, but I'm willing to bet that DE (company that makes WF) has an adjusted price they sell Platinum to them so that the market is balanced across the platforms or maybe they just take a less from the transactions for consoles, which considering that we are talking about a digital currency and content that doesn't cost the company anything extra to produce or offer that makes sense...

Because... Microsoft. Seriously, it's probably because they are taking a cut of the transaction. Like you said, purchases from the ESO web site are only for the PC version, so on the console you are going through a third party for an in-game transaction.

If that were the reason, then an ESO+ subscription would cost more also, surely?

No they advertised ESO plus at a set price so they couldn't change it now.

That makes no sense. Crowns were previously "advertised" in the same way that ESO Plus was. Both had set costs on PC. Those costs have translated to PS4, but not Xbox One.

Well it still makes no sense as the sub is actually more expensive on PS4.
