Why it play something else for a few months until the pc side is fixed and new content drops instead of repeatedly complaining if you're unhappy with the current state of the game?

You clearly have not been here since day 1. You have not endured what us beta testers of the console version have had to deal with all due to them releasing it for consoles.......go back to the very beginning of the forums, read EVERY thread and EVERY comment, until you are up to the most recent thread....THEN you will understand the issues @Alp2760

Then once you FULLY understand how this company works and the BS it has said and put the customers through, you will get a clear picture of what you are in for when it comes to ESO and the LOOOOOOOOOOOONG waits for fixes...but dont worry, they will fix stupid crap that has no impact whatsoever on the game....and that one fix will break 900 different things. How about a year of "We'll fix cloak".

Only for the dev saying that to not be working at ZoS anymore. LOL.

Oh and templar bugs.. don't even get started on the templar bugs...

I thought the problems, which most people figured would happen, isn't as terrible as some make it out to be. Login issues for most part was solved a day into the release. Was it annoying? Yes, but a day and a half in can login and out smoothly so I am glad about that.

It's not that. That's nothing. People haven't even really played the game yet. A couple days isn't long enough for folks to see all the bugs that exist in the game and have since PC launch. Enjoy :)

I'll be doin this once folks start complaining about those and ask for fixes right away like we did a long time ago.....

Uuum yeah i wouldn't judge it by the forums, i posted some bugs that are odd on console but i am so impressed with the console version i subscribe to ESO. I dont need the crowns or percentage but just because i wish to support this amazing thing they gave birth to lol.

If you know me on the forums then you know i don't standa for lie and crap from ZOS but the console version is brillant.
Give it a month and most bugs will be ironed out but i do hope they don't listen to the forums and put in a chat box because i
Really enjoy the voice channels. :)

@Heromofo So just disable the text chat box when it goes live, ya dirty Aussie!

Yeah probably will shame though the voice system is unreal.

I have to admit, I've had fun with the angry commentary from consolers on this launch. Especially with comments like: "We should have free stuff because of this error that didn't allow me to play as soon as I put the game in." Also comments about lag in cyrodiil were comedic gold to me.
I'm eager to see how many of them actually stick around after the new game high goes away.

Your very intent on seeing ESO console side fail without taking into consideration the blow back it would have on the pc version. Why not educate them about the suffering of the pc and teach them patience lol just set an example here on the forums.

Unless you want ESO to fail and possibly impact the future of Elder Scrolls then hey go ahead. :D

I'm intent on seeing it fail console side? Most of them have never played an MMO outside of WoW or Neverwinter. They have zero idea what to expect. Their numbers will naturally phase out over time. That's a fact. The fact I find their naivete amusing is a non-issue.

To put it simply: we are dealing with the same crowd that was fussy initially because they thought this game was going to be either just like WoW or Skyrim online. They will either accept the game or move on. I'm curious to see which ones stay. That's all.

By the way, we warned them....endlessly.

Well, community is not that bad, but you got to understand. Put people into a game with a lot of bugs, lack of content overtime, and other weird stuff, let them ask for fix/changes/content for months without speaking to them and you got this community.
People totally disappointed by ZOS and their lack of communication but still hoping someday things will get better.
So my guess is, once ZOS starts to consider their customers like real customers, and try to do things better, maybe the community will lose is bitterness (I definitely hope so).

Maybe people's expectations etc are different to mine but if I felt a game was as you describe. I'd stop playing and do something else. Simple. I have played dcuo since launch and if it'd having problems or I'm bored of the content, I go away and do something else. Few months later I'll hop back once new content drops.

I submitted a ticket yesterday due to not having an invitation to the forums. About 5 hours later, an email pops up with an invite code. What is the betting that entitled people with a similar experience would have been whining about a disgraceful service? Was a lot quicker than I hoped to be honest. Or moaning that they aren't cared about.

Of course they will consider their customers as customers. I see similar complaints on every single forum I've been on 'devs don't care' 'they just want a cash cow' 'they can't be bothered updating us' the complaints are literally so universal - from this to dcuo, to never winter, to fifa and beyond. Think a lot of the time, the problem is us gamers. Not saying ZOS are perfect but to say they can't be bothered or don't care is in accurate. I'm pretty sure they are doing what they can to ensure they make as much money as possible and not caring wouldn't make sense at all.

The only difference with this community (not everyone just in general) is I struggle to find anything positive at all so can't understand why people continue playing and posting about a game they seem to hate or is boring or gives terrible service or crashes all the time etc etc etc. For me, the game is far surpassing my expectations and I'm glad I didn't let the forum put me off buying because I'm not seeing many issues at all. Maybe pc is different though.

This community is definitely negative. Its one of the most self-important, entitled, gratification now but doesnt want to wait for anything communities Ive ever been with. 1.6 released in March with the addition of the Champion and Justice Systems. It didnt add any quests or zones but it was a needed update. All of the updates have been needed. Its not as if ZOS has not been pushing things out when they had it ready.

And of course around this time when 1.6 launches. They announce Consoles will be the focus leading up to its release. And this does not sit well with PC Players. They have to be the important ones the 'LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME' crowd. If the attention is not on them, regardless of the reason, they whine and complain and scream doom.

The way they behave you would think ZOS chained them to a wall and beat them with a stick for a year. And I guarantee that one of these doom sayers will jump on that previous sentence (something like 'They might as well have'). So predictable and sad. And its not as if the game is terrible, it has its issues and some more prevalent then others. But its not as if this game isnt getting the attention it needs. Other big AAA MMO Developers will let a game sit for 2 or more years between content. But if ZOS goes more then a week over their predicted timeframe between updates...You better believe this community will torch these forums in outrage.

Read the posts to the Facebook page. Half of them are whining about having to wait a few hours on a patch. Some of them are just complaining about being unable to log in. We complain because things that were promised months ago are still in the works. I think there's a degree of difference here. (Also note how many reference the fact that the game has been out for a year.) It's not just this communities vile hatred. We got problems here.

Perhaps people around here, especially those who have been around a long while, should react differently to development set backs. But let's not pretend there aren't a significant number and particularly some persistent ones.

Many of us still love the game despite all of the buggy crap that happens around here. It's ZOS's ability and effort to fix the game we have problems with.

You aren't saying anything different/very similar to what other people on other games have been saying for years.

I haven't been here since day one, at all but what you're saying is nothing new. Every game I've played pretty much has people saying the same thing. Whether it is EA with fifa who don't care, can't be bothered fixing things or take too long etc or soe at dcuo. It's the same thing regurgitated over and over again.

Funny how almost every Dev team apparently can't be bothered, doesn't care or is incompetent. Gamers really are oke of the hardest customer bases to please. The game must work well and be enjoyable at least to a large degree or why on earth are you playing it still?

I can't understand why people who seem to hate the state of a game and the team behind it, continue playing it. Or at least don't take a break from it and go back after fixes. I do it and it works wonders. I don't spend a year complaining about how bad it is on a forum. I don't normally care to comment but I've been pretty surprised by how incredibly negative this community cokes across (I will stress it isn't everyone, I've seen some incredibly helpful people and there seems to be at least some people who genuinely love the game and care to help others learn instead of getting nasty or constantly complaining)

Agree with all of this. It's a shame because I'm sure there will be people who have decided not only buy the game based on it. I was very close but thought I'd at least give it a go. I was expecting a barren wasteland of lag, crashes, bugs and boring game play.

I actually saw someone complaining that they couldn't sit down on chairs and benches. Mind blowing.

Console players expect performance to be fluid, that is the one thing a console player should be able to depend on since everyone is on an even playing field. Say ZoS couldn't make game fluid at 1080P without stuttering then they would have to cap it at 720p. Not saying resolution is the issue though.

If this game isn't accessible or fluid on console. It is going to be eaten alive by reviewers when reviews come out.

@Kalifas I specifically remember Skyrim received a less than perfect review (9.5 out of 10) for a small hiccup during the opening execution scene. Reviewers tend to be merciless in general. But honestly that's what makes their opinions of any value. If they weren't critical on the failings of games people would harp on their inadequacy on recognizing problems.

X-play, in particular, was frequently a harsh critic for trivial reasons.
