Somehow she managed to cut the cord on my Razer Hex and I don't have a back up (My fault).
Would it be equally just for me to toss her sewing machine out the window? Put bleach in her laundry? Strangle her? ZOS got my back on this???

Buy her some flowers at the florist next to Best Buy, tell her that you love her anyway. She will be amazed at your sensitivity and understanding which equates to more game time because you are just that wonderful of a spouse.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

If she sits by her sewing machine ignoring everything around her for hours on end, sewing completely useless things and spending so much time and energy on her sewing hobby than other parts of her life are neglected, then yes. If not, no. If she actually felt she had to cut your game controller cord to get your attention, you owe her an apology and a change of your priorities, not a retaliation.

I am not sure there is any suggestion she did it intentionally. I managed to cut the cord on our headset once by running over it with an office chair after accidentally knocking it off the desk.

This. Internet forums have a tendency to respond with "Apples are red" when you ask "What color is the sky?"
A reasonable human would read the OP and sense a deal of sarcasm, along with the indication the cord cutting was accidental when I wrote "somehow managed."

The point of the thread was to promote fun and a few laughs, not to be taken seriously to the point of
    - marriage counseling
    - divorce
    - playing too much (Because dedicating about 4 hours a week to my hobby of ESO is certainly "too much")

I tend to forget how many door knob personalities are out there.

You have a more positive view of your fellow human beings than I, and I admire that, but the OP implying that possible retaliations would include him throwing her sewing machine out the window (deliberately), or strangling her (deliberately) speaks against your positive interpretation.

I agree. You know what else works miracles? Taking the baby for the day and leaving her alone to do whatever. I got things I cannot even appropriately describe on these forums the last time I did that for her!

It can be hard to convey "subtle humor" in forums like this. Maybe if you had used double-quotes as a means to highlight the idea that she "somehow managed" to cut the cord it would have been a bit more obvious you weren't being literal.

Beyond that it was a funny post, for what it was worth. ;)

@MissBlizz What's wrong with the Razor Hex? Based on what you wrote in bold, I take it you're implying the Hex is a poor choice? To tell you the truth, I just bought that mouse about a month ago and I still haven't gotten 100% comfortable with it having come from the standard 2 button mouse. I have heard nothing but great reviews regarding the Hex (You don't need so many buttons in this game so the 6 button mouse was perfect).
