Could you please separate PC and Console Discussions?

I dont understand. Takes only a few minutes to setup new sections of the forums. This forum is no busier than the ESPN forum I used to moderate. In fact I would bet this thing doesnt see even 25% of the traffic. I dont understand why they would think console players would stop posting. Make a console GD and a PC/MAC GD. Take you 10 minutes. This is why you guys have a mediocre game. You ignore the little things.

Why don't we just add a platform drop down to the threads in certain fourms where it adds that platform as a special tag and then we can set filters either in forums themselves or in prefs to say what we do and do not want to see?

Example: I create thread and set platform to PC. It tags my thread. Console users set their fliter to not show PC. Then all they see are console threads but they'll all still be in GD. Easier for zos to track and we see what we want with easy ability to change it.

That's basically what I suggested on page 2:

If each thread would have [PC] or [Console] infront of the title (which we could choose when posting a new thread), it would be sooo much easier to distinguish which is which."

But either way, YES, this would help a lot!

The tagging feature available to us doesn't have an option to require tags. We did investigate it before console launch (profile tagging as well), but the functionality was too limited for what we wanted it to do.

It's day number one I'm sure the devs are running around kinda like the lunch hour rush at McDonalds trying to help and make as many people happy as they can, all we can do or should be doing is having a bit of patience and understanding. There is no need to turn this into a PC vs Console "us vs them" Elder Scrolls racial forum and implement segregation.

Keep in mind that for some of the new console players that are posting in general discussion this is probably a first for them even playing a mmorpg.

But now that this doesn't work, I still see a need of a separate console section, though. I just opened a few threads to read, and it was exactly like I wrote earlier in an example: the topics could have been both PC or console related, but after reading I saw it was for console only. So I could have saved my time to read something else instead.

I know what you mean, but it's still like comparing apples and oranges and has nothing to do with "segregation" in any way.

I can understand how everyone runs to GD to post. So why not just change this to PC/MAC discussion and they can go down the page post in xbox1 discussion and PS4 discussion. I really don't get why this is being done like it is.

I totally agree. Have played on pc for over a year since beta. I have no problem with console players posting right now. There are lots of bugs to fix and if you remember correctly, pc players been doing the same thing since launch. Starting to get more clutter from people complaining about comsole threads and screaming for new content 5 minutes after mudnight. Give it time....it just launched today. Pc master race do not own the forums.

@LadyDestiny It's not about posting theads about console issues and such per se, it's about where they are posted. Of course the console players need to post to ask questions or discussing other console related things, but the current General Discussion section is not the best place for this since no one knows anymore to which category any new thread belongs if the title is not giving it away.

Perhaps what is needed, instead of a Console General Discussion, is a Console Feedback category. I agree with Alan that General is platform-agnostic, but General is currently the only place for Console Feedback. A Crown Store category was added because Crown Store threads were overflowing General, so separating Console Feedback specifically might be the way to go.

I feel that if the servers are going to be segregated from different platforms, then the forums should be segregated by platforms. No sense in half as@ing it one and going all the way the other.

In a month or two I won't even speak or understand the language of consoles. All up under my 4k pc with options galore baby!

Like I posted somewhere here earlier, it just happened again: opened another thread, and when I was halfway through reading the postings, I saw it's about consoles and not related to PC in anyway (about centering the camera in 3rd person, since it does work for PC)... so again I read it for nothing.

I guess I'll stay away from the forums until a solution has been found.

If you read it and saw Gina explain that there is a setting for it for consoles as well you would have giggled though.

Maybe they are just using the flood of new console player posts that have no relevance to PC to sink and otherwise dilute all the PC player posts complaining that there is no new content for last 8 months, everyone is leaving, the cash shop sucks, cyrodiil is still laggy etc..

No mine is a filter that we can control what we see.

The other is just adding a tag to front which still forces us to see it. I'm offering a method with toggle to turn off vision of those threads

Yeah, I've seen it. What does this have to do now with the fact it was a console question? Not everything works the same way on console like it does on PC.

But let's say, both ideas would give us a chance to recognize easier which is for PC and which for console
