Game hasnt had any new content since craglorn. Thats why he is bored. How long are we supposed to play the same old same old? What happened to new content every 4-6 weeks? Its been over 8 months since they added anything.

Meh. I'm a huge ES fan but now i've come to realize this game is painfully average, so much wasted potential :/

I couldn't agree more! Here's my daily routine....

    Login to check mail
Make armor/weapons for anyone that needs it
Farm nirncrux until I can't stand it which is usually about an hour max
contemplate doing a daily dungeon, why? I'm not really sure, the rewards are lame, Undaunted is stuck at level 9 and doesn't progress farther. Been through every dungeon in the game except SO and HRC more than enough times to not care to do them again.

We need new Dungeons and Delves in every zone added. @ZOS could easily add these into the existing zones. The more there are, the more we can do. We need Skyrim length dungeons that take a couple hours to do. I'm not talking about a 40 minute dungeon that takes 2 hours because of wipes. I'm talking about a dungeon that has a lot of exploring within it. We need them to be 2-3 times longer than they are now. Sure, it will take some time with boss fights and wipes, but that's part of the fun. Who wants to be done with a Vet Dungeon in less than 30 minutes. Dungeons need to have more exploration available and better loot.

    This.

To the OP, we re-rolled DC recently from playing EP since Beta, the starting zones are filled with people; almost as bad as launch. Go level on another faction or do something other than QQ in the forums. ZOS has already stated a major balance patch is coming shortly after console release, my guess is in a few weeks, and after that we can expect to see a DLC. Nobody cares you are getting tired of the game, at least the majority of the population doesn't because everyone is busy playing the game rather than QQ'in on here.

The forums is more of a troll cave anymore, the same people complaining and complaining; re-posting and re-posting. I rarely visit the forums anymore unless its to check patch notes or official news. Everything else in here is Meh.

Tried to solo Shada's Tear yesterday out of boredom.

    Got to the 2nd boss.

Could probably go further, but why bother.

So I log in, feed horses (pardon, take a lesson in the riding school), do crafting writs with my alchemist/enchanter/provisioner, and log out again. If I feel like it I do the gold pledge with my main.

Did you realize it? Everything is a daily. Reason I don't play more is that the little content worth doing is time-gated.

But instead of adding repetable content worth doing they'll probably sell more ways to circumvent the time gate, just like they sell riding lessons now.

Reason is I take my time, play a week on this then a week on STO, a couple of weeks on TW3 recently (which is a magnificent game, a real masterpiece), plus I spend a lot of time reading lore books, researching out of game and of course all my other interests. Variety is the spice of life they say and it's what keeps this game fresh for me. Too many people I feel rush through without fully exploring each area, I won't leave until I have all the achievements for the zone for example.

This is the key to playing MMOs in my view. No developer can be expected to keep up content-wise with people who play a single character in a single MMO for long play sessions day in, day out. Those players who favour that playstyle need to accept that it will give them extensive periods in which they'll need to find something else to do while they wait for more content to be added.

    No content for 8+ months.

I don't think there's really any excuses for that. Especially when it was 6-8 weeks promised. If "no developer can keep up with that" they shouldn't have made that promise in the first place. Unless of course it was just hype fabricated to boost sales...

I have to imagine that at least some of you are the same people saying how glad you are there is no end game gear grind. Without a gear grind or some alternative, this game is just nothing to keep people logging in after v14 except PVP.

I think that if people took their time and didn't rush to max out their level, grab every piece of legendary gear in the game and stop to pick the mountain flowers, they wouldn't get bored so quickly. MMO's are supposed to be more than rushing to get to the top of the heap and killing people.

Hang out, go to an event, heck even Role Play. It's alright. No one can see you and anyone that makes fun of you can suck it. It's not like they're going to out you to your RL friends and family for ENJOYING THE EXPERIENCE.

I feel somewhat the same way as you.
Since the subscription isn't a requirement anymore it makes it a bit easier to take a break from playing, you can play until your subscription ends, then take a break for a month or so, then come back on if you have the urge too. Any game we play too much we burn out on eventually so taking a break might be good.
I haven't logged on for 3+ weeks now, but I visit the forums now and again to see what's going on.
I honestly think if a player gets to the stage of only logging on to feed their horse etc then that's kind of missing the point for a game, because it doesn't appear to be fun for them anymore.

Edit - I do agree though we need some more content soon because that's another contributing factor to this problem.

VR14 sorc who has finished all of AD and EP. She has all crafts but Alchemy at 50. I harvested every node I found on her, as well as the NB below.
VR6 NB who has finished all of AD, just about finished with Stonefalls. She has alchemy at 50.
VR14 DK who has done...err. I dunno actually O.o But she's there. God knows what this one has. I think the big three crafts (blacksmith, clothing, woodowrk) at in the 30s.
    I also have a lv30ish templar somewhere.

Currently I have recently VR2 templar who just got into coldharbour. Crafts are 30+, except provisioning which is zero, enchanting which is nearing 20, and alchemy which is...2 or somesuch.

I leveled the templar to VR1 in about two weeks of casual play, and only picked him back up against because I could finally stand to log in.

PvP - I'm leveling the VR2 templar for this. I've played casually on my sorc, DK and to a lesser extent NB.

Trials - Did AA a couple times, had a go at Hel Ra but never finished due to time constraints.

Essentially - I did almost everything. Hell I bet a good chunk of my time in ESO was from RPing. 8 characters and I rp them all .I think I had my sorc and NB done in December O.o So yeah. The game really lacks content, not much you can say against that.

Mind you, I'm a full time student :P I also consider myself a casual.

There is your problem right there...re-roll, and slow down a bit, listen to the stories. Go off and just hunt, DO NOT twink your alt.

You raced through the game as fast as you possibly could and now you're bored?

It's like going to a museum, going through the front door, literally sprinting through every aisle, getting to the exit and complaining there isn't enough art.

I'm seeing a long of responses saying "it happens to MMO's all the time", "it happens to a lot of players", but I don't remember the last time an MMO halted adding playable content for 6 months in order to focus on a console launch. I've never feel burned out on other MMOs because they get updated regularly....it's just with ESO, nothings been added and I'm pretty upset about that.

And I never said I raced through as fast as I could. If I go to a museum, i would look at the paintings, but I probably wouldn't go back again because I've seen all the paintings.....UNLESS they added new paintings for me to look at...then I'd go back, you know?

ZOS is a business. As a business, they (most likely, I -could- be wrong) want my money. As someone who likes the concept and lore of the game, I want to give them my money. Now...since when is 'go away and stop giving me money, come back in a couple months and maybe I'll have something for you to buy' acceptable?

It's a video game. Entertainment. Again, perhaps I am wrong in thinking this, but I don't think one is supposed to 'endure' entertainment.

Doesn't mean people are going to stay and whine. They'll just be gone. Poof! :O

Doesn't mean there isn't a problem with the lack of content.

Is it just me playing too much, or is it because we've had no new content for 8 months?

    Look on the bright side!
You'll soon be able to experience the same level of painful average-ness on console.

Seriously though, ZOS has got this. Go play Witcher for a while. Come back in a few months after some new DLC is released. ANY game that you play for 50 hours in-game time is going to start to go stale. That's going to be a problem no matter what game you play.

Hmm, this is a big problem in MMOs, the secret is to stop playing the moment you first feel like that and then leave the game for some considerable time. I see tons of guys saying the same as you and in their signatures I see a shed load of alts at VR14, I can't imagine the amount of time they must have invested to do that. I started in Beta, wasn't that impressed, got back into it last September and I'm now VR9. Still got the last two zones of Cadwell Gold to go and have not visited Craglorn or Cyrodil other than to do basic training and the blacksmith drop offs in Balkarth.

However even at my pace I know I will run out of content faster than ZOS can create it, it's simple arithmetic, I finished TW3 in 85 hours, 85 hours in 2 weeks, how would MMO devs ever keep up with that?

I also see people running from quest to quest like crazy trying to level up, imagine if it were real, your hero would perhaps do a new quest every week or month, not several a day, he'd be worn out no matter how much stamina he had.

So take a break, a good long break, play something else, read lore, etc. Then hopefully when you come back it will feel fresher and there will be new content for you. Good luck.

Except, this shouldn't happen this quickly. I played this game since beta and I can honestly say it grew stale far more quickly than every other MMO I've played to date. I do the whole MMO bounce myself, but this is just bad, you can't deny that. Stale game with no content waiting on console release and then PRAYING that they release SOME kind of content. It's stupid and unwarranted. They should have had 2 teams or hired more people so they could do both. Poor management if you ask me.

Well, what should happen when you hit VR14 is that the game should really open up and you should have plenty of things to choose to focus on.

The problem is that at VR14, there is such a content bottleneck that people say "why even bother logging in?"

I think it is very cute you believe I rushed and didnt enjoy the game. Firstly I have done every quest. Every dolmen. Every achievement pretty much. Ive done every craft. Ive been the person to start the RP events. Problem is noone is left playing the game at vet ranks. Yes in the newbie zones you see people. Thats the only place. Three guilds now folded because members left.

Ive been playing this game since the first day. Dont sit there and tell me ive rushed when they havent put anything out in over 8 months for us to do.

Zos has been concerned with nothing but console launch since they got all the money from PC players. No need to add content if we all already bought the game and there isn't a sub fee anymore.
