Returning Player

Returning after a long hiatus (left at the end of last summer when our my folded and other RL issues).

Highest character is currently L42.

Are there any good reference sites to see what's been changed/added since then?

Any recommendations on what to do/avoid?

Last Summer... 1.6 overhauled the game, and several patches since then have changed other things in small increments. All in all, it's a lot. The Patch Notes for 1.6 alone hit the post size cap twice eleven times. For now it may be best to create a new character and rediscover the game. You can try relearning most things with your level 42, but it will be harder at that higher level than when starting fresh and expected to know next to nothing.

If you have the time on hand, I suggest reading/skimming the Patch Notes starting from 1.4.4, which was implemented in September 2014.

You can also lookup to itsZiz for the changes but since he lists it but not play it, i'd recommend deltiasgaming. Do note that there have been incremental changes to the classes as they have patched again and again but the framework, the abilities has not changed.
