This thread just gives me more self assurance that my decision to leave that garbage zerg guild last month when they moved to azuras was a good decision.

They couldnt handle fighting even numbers on Thorn (oh no we are so outnumbered with our three full raids all stacked on crown spamming purge) that they took that to Azuras and literally crushed it.

    gg.

Also, just to vindicate some of those EP on thorn - yeah some of you are jerks, and a few of you were definitely exploiting lag at some points, but the AD blobs in those towers with the purges were just disgusting. That yellow guild causes more lag than anything I have ever seen. I saw it first hand when 20 GoS tried to take on their three full raids all spamming their BS. To know I was a part of that... is kinda embarassing. =/

It was also quite satisfying to watch GoS crush them in an 8v8 gvg fight, in retrospect.

It wasn't them that crushed it, it was dealing with their giant laggy blob of doom while also dealing with Misfitz and Decibel at the same time. Too much, too many players, and all flowing in the same direction due to the lack of a third faction on the server.

    Utterly unfun to deal with.

But when we caught just them? Yeah, they got wrecked. Because bads.

Definitely not the guild from Dawnbreaker anymore, that is for damn sure.

I died a little inside when I heard the raid commander say in TS "from now on, every one of you is to have either purge or cleanse slotted, and you are to use it every second or third button press"

Not a fan of drastic change. Had been there for a year. It became crystal clear to me about four-five weeks ago when I was running in a 10 man GoS group getting more AP/hour than i had ever seen in TKO, while fighting four times our numbers on Azuras... it just finally sunk in. I was wasting my time carrying a bunch of really bad pugs. I tried to get the other officers to listen to reason and trim the guild fat, get rid of literally half of the thorn pugs they picked up.

But when I started getting called names and cussed out by the guild leader in TS, belittled and told I have no idea how the game works, it snapped, gquit, their loss. Takes a lot to actually make me mad. People think I rage on the forums or whatever, im mostly a troll. You know that, but I can admit flat out that I was truly angry enough to literally hit someone with the trash that was spewed to me at that final officers meeting.

Whatever way you find the most fun is the correct way to play the game.

But hurling abusive invectives when being offered valid criticism is a good way to drive the best players away. The old guild I started with on Bloodthorn did that, and look where they are now -- dead and gone.

I'm part of the "AD that capped everything on azuras" and I'm not on Haderus. My guild is running a very small group there, certainly not 50 people. Doesn't this happen on Haderus every night, anyway? I thought AD rolling the map there at night was common.

Not speaking of Decibel I am pretty sure it was Misfitz, recognized quite a few of them. Haderus is full of ad who have been trying to hold it for months. I'm not sure why Misfitz decided to bring 50 ppl to keep after keep after the post that Crown made but thats 100% what i saw.

I left the group an hour ago and we had 20 people after I left. At no point today did we have 50 in our group.

Well thats just not possible, i'm just stating what i saw which looked like 2 full organized groups or more, zerged down empty keeps on a guest campaign because they are done ruining azuras for the day. Also the second group had emperor in it, who so kindly 1 shot meteored me being the only source of ap in the keep. I wish i had screenshots but ill have to next time i guess :/

Then you are assuming people were part of Misfitz who were not. I was running with Misfitz for a while on Haderus tonight, and we never had more than 20 people.

Not in your group obviously that simply just isn't possible, but we all know groups have a habit of showing up at the same place. I don't get why I'm still talking about this lol my eyes aren't playing tricks on me this time so I think I am done reassuring everyone that it did in fact happen, because this kind of stuff happens all the time. Just the fact that it was just me in the keep full of over 50 ad I thought was a tad idiotic. But so was the part of me dying on top floor of inner from emp group who rushed to top to take out that 1 deadly oil, while misfitz stacked on flags & spammed heals for no reason at all.

Please name the 50 while your at it as you obviously know them all by name seeing as "thats 100% what I saw"

I think you need a break from the battlefield soldier. At ease.

Ok? First off I can't name them here but I was AD for a long time so I know my guilds pretty damn well. But you're right about the break I think its time to take a more permanent one.

I'm not sure what the problem is here. Last night around midnight (after the red blob had lagcapped the keeps in Haderus) I came into Azura with about 5 other people and we started taking keeps and having lots of fun fights against the yellow denizens of that place. There was no lag. And even though sometimes 30 yellow were fighting a merry band of 6, we held our own for awhile and got good kills. I might have found my new hunting grounds since Haderus has spent the last couple nights as zerglag city.

This is sad to hear, and part of the reason I refuse to join any guilds in ESO. This is the same mentality that told me in Vanilla WoW that druids only existed in raids to be mana batteries for shadow priests, and if you wanted to run feral or balance, tough ***. That same mentality still exists here even with the 5 guild system. You still run into those GMs with the "with us or against us' mentality. "Oh, you want to level your lowbie templar DC alt? Guess what you just earned yourself a gkick you traitor!" "Oh, you want to run pledges with your cousin and his roomate? Too bad, it's PVP night and I don't see you in Cyrodiil! Gkick!" "Oh, you want to run your dps dual wield DK? Too bad, we need tanks now go spend 5k and respec your lazy ass!"

At least in ESO you do have the liberty of having a failsafe, and new communities can be formed.

If Azura's is truly a lost cause, then all that can be done is try to strike at an opportune time with a large force while AD is in their off hours, or just pass the time and do something else. Things are decidedly not like they were in the old days when one raid could hold off 5x that number with all the changes to how siege damage operates and purge spam-a-palooza. AD will more than likely get bored before they ever learn the error of their ways. They'll prob go seeking to invade another server, and I'm sure Agrippa remembers this, when they do that you strike back and take everything from them. The same thing happened with Haderus. When AD there got 'bored' and tried to pull shenanigans on Thorn, multiple EP and DC guilds came in and curb stomped them into submission.

I noticed as well by looking at the leaderboards that there's some guilds listed on EP side that potentially could make a difference, however some of these guilds don't want to fight the uphill battle and instead prefer farming easy points. They've done this in the past and continue to do so. It's obscene, and they refuse to believe they're screwing everyone over in the process.

    I dont even

The days of Morinth will be remembered fondly, but whatever guild that was, is dead.

The new TKO is just a big zerg guild.

The fact it took me about three months longer than it should have to realize this is pretty sad actually =/

Im starting to see why a lot of the oldies left, not all of them left the game just the guild.

I didn't get why you stayed with them so long. It didn't seem to be your playstyle.

Inertia, I guess. Happens to all of us.

    This guy... haha

If youre a red in Azuras youre gonna get much more AP than yellows simply because youre at the gate. You get more ticks and more AP fighting at the gates. Didnt you learn that as an AD in thornblade??
If youre saying youre getting more AP away from the gate, i don't buy it.

TKO becomes a zerg guild 3 times a week. Any other day its not even a full raid. I believe that one of the reasons TKO is big is because AD was severely outnumbered back in thorn and AD needed a unified force. I remember tko recuiters advertising in zone chat but that was because it was desperate times for AD. Since thornblade is dead, tko took a break and tried other servers (with it's new force) and all this QQ started.

There are other guilds in other alliances who do exactly the same thing (im looking at you blues). Im not even goona started with EP, we all know how bad their zergs get.

Just logged in thornblade today to find it painted red and AD starting from the gate all over again. How long has EP been doing this? And yet we got reds and blues here QQing over AD in azuras...

if you are who I think you are, youre one of the bad pugs I was carrying in TKO that never stayed on crown, died instantly, rarely sieged when it was called, and stood in stealth all of the time.

I play all factions. If youd like to fight 1v1 let me know, or we could organize another GoS vs TKO 8v8 and watch how that plays out.

Either way, if youre who I think you are, you not even realizing who I was in TKO is absolutely hilarious. That the guild got so big and bloated you dont even know I was an OG and an officer until three weeks ago is funny as all hell.

Good fights today on Azura's. It's not just up to AD to "save Azura's". We can lay off all we can, but we need DC and EP in the campaign to push us, too. DC did a really good job today. A lot of EP showed up as well, but they didn't stay nearly long enough.

The only wSay any EP will get help from DC is if you purposely leave EVERY campaign that these lagg causing zerg balling guilds are in. These guilds are giving EP a bad name. There are a lot of good players on EP and many deserve respect. But all these zerg, lag ball groups make everyone look down on EP. This is not skill. This exploiting broken game mechanics to achieve their goals. Yes its Zos' fault for the state of the game. But have some integrity. Don't do it on purpose just to flip emp. When you have trouble taking keeps don't resort to lag balling. Devise better tactics. Not better exploits.

That's the thing. They HAVE no integrity. They WANT to flip emp. They don't care about breaking the mold or being paradigms to their faction. They're *** pure and simple, through and through, and they've populated their entire guilds with like-minded people. The good people that did care left, as was stated above, and what is left is pure distilled douchebaggery. ZOS's failure to rectify the issue and in fact endorsing such play only exacerbates the problem. They have refused to take a stance on hurtful conduct in the past, they won't now or ever, despite other MMOs and companies implementing similar policies.

Azura was a lot of fun tonight. All the big guilds logged off and it was left up to us hangers-on to defend what they had secured. Most of the night was spent with approximately 8 DC defending against 10-15 AD

Here is how it went down:

    * DC logged off abruptly, and it took us a couple minutes to right the ship. We were running all over the place and lost Farragut Keep and Brindle Keep in a matter of minutes. We did inflict some casualties as Brindle, but it wasn't much of a fight.

    * We rallied at Ales and we played smart concealing what numbers and presence we had. We wiped AD once at Lumber Mill, then twice at Farm and waited for another attack.

    * AD ninja burst Ales from the North and we rode to wipe their siege (which were only a few) and discovered to our horror that Warden was burst (where NPK had earlier stashed a scroll they got from AD).

    * The rest of AD retreated to Ales Mine, but we ran face first into them and the guards to blood port to Warden.

    * At Warden we arrived with the Inner Keep under siege. We inflicted heavy casualties and the remaining AD ran out of the outer breach and fled. Scroll secure. Keep repaired......ALES LOST in the process.

    * We hurried to the last DC resource at Ales, the lumber mill and tried to defend it. We inflicted some casualties but lost it and retreated to Glade Keep.

    * AD came in force to Glade and took the lumber mill almost instantly and rushed the east side of the keep. DC made it our goal to set up 3 counter siege per person and siege them while a couple went out to fight them among the barrage. AD was barely able to siege the keep at all. We inflicted heavy casualties and all enjoyed a 5,000 AP D-tick for our trouble.

    * At this point, some more of the AD left (reducing their number to approx 8) and we lost a few of our own.

    * For the next couple of hours we enjoyed open field battle between Glade Keep, the lumber mill and surrounding area with a pretty evenly matched 7v8 +/-

    * We did some great flanking that would wipe their entire party outright several times. They had a couple of great players and former emps that when prepared were very difficult to counter.

ALL NIGHT I don't think I ever saw a single member of either side do any te@b@gging or bragging of any kind. No raging took place. AP was gained. Friends were made. AD made ground, but when we all logged off DC had held our 3 home keeps and 2 scrolls until the sun came up on the US east coast. It was a great night for ESO PvP. Thanks to the AD who were a part of it.

Thats really good news. Hopefully the kind AD guilds continue to play more fair and guest to other servers before they paint the whole map!
