Essentially what is it that keeps you playing PvP? Do you want to win campaigns? Do you just want to have fun competitive fights? Make AP? Hang with friends?

I started PVP for skill points now I just do it cause PVE has had no new content

The original reason I came to PvP is because I ran out of PvE. But I stay for the fights. They are engaging and demanding in a different way from PvE, and I like it. I still PvE when I find something to do, but I like to PvP as well.

Just fight with honor and you're good in my book.

Unless we're exploring, then I fight to survive, using every dirty trick up my sock.

PvP really lets classes show their true potential, PvE all you do is follow a button sequence and thats all.

whether it be 1v1, 1vX, XvX, GvG I love fighting people who know what they are doing, even if I hate them. It sucks that PvP is as ignored as it is.

Realistically A, B, C and the unlettered D. Given the choices B and D are the two most prominent. Unfortunately as of late it seems any good fights turn into a ridiculous lagfest. Prior to 1.6 the lag was there, but it seems to have gotten a lot worse.

Focusing on small scale PvP recently. It's really no fun to run around in circles dealing/receiving no damage for 10-20 minutes spamming the same keys over and over again.

I want good fights ebb and flow pvp open field battles sieges going , I would just like to have pvp as the dev's envisioned it, and the one thing not in the poll "FUN".... Winning is good but for me not required to have a good time, and like Cody says below I did not buy this game to do just one thing like AP farm, I hate it when I log in and the map is all one color, even if it is my own faction owing the map, to me that is a sad and boing day in cyrodiil until the other factions start getting involved.

as for winning.... i could really care less(the rewards suck anyway, save the large chunks of gold, and even then i can make more thieving) I want fun, fair, and engaging fights.

@#$%* I signed up for the Zenimax cable internet and tv service and NOTHING is working!!! They gave me free bonus crowns for signing up but the entire store is empty! I tried calling their customer support to cancel my service but they just kept laughing at me while repeating, 'lets 1v1 in imperial city bro'.

B, C and D all sound good. A with some conditions. If B is applicable to that campign A is a nice bonus. Went with B because it is the best fun of all.

After thinking about it, it think the real reason is inertia. I'm invested in my character and there is no good alternative for this type of PVP.

I continue to play PVP because I was sold a dream.

For reasons we can all speculate, the dream that was sold is capable on Blackwater yet no where else. Last night, Roebeck was the remaining AD Emp keep, also holding a DC A scroll. Three-way fights all night with mass numbers, it was the best experience I've had this year in terms of server performance mirroring the dream that was sold.

In equivalent circumstances on say Chillrend, there would be potential for the server to lag. This was not the dream that was advertised.

I keep playing pvp for when it works, it is fun. The adrenaline on a killing spree, the small victory you cheer at catching that nightblade/sorc, the lawls at scrubs firing arrows at DK wings whilst screaming 'HAX'. Even defending a keep against the odds, mundane as it is at times, you have that swelling pride on pulling through.

I know the performance of vet servers are capable of being adjusted, it will take a very long time. Thats how things in production go.
