3 runs, 2 helmets ( 1 heavy and 1 medium ).
Still doing gold pledges for the shoulders, more than 30 boxes oppened

After extensive stat keeping (6 chars a day, 5 months every day + extra dungeons. I do a lot of dailies)
Helm Drop: 1/10
Shoulders: 1/3 (as confirmed by ZoS in patch notes, was 1/6 prior)
The weight and trait of each drop is 100% random

The RNG in this game, as concerned to loot, is not really RNG. How many times have you been waiting for months for something like the engine gaurdian epaulets to drop for you, when all of a sudden two pairs drop one after the other. Same goes for Master weapons and weekly rewards. Even trial rewards; loot drops in bunches. The loot drop in this game is not completely random and it really could be worked better.

I played forever in the silver vet zone before I finally got a rare motif. Then I got three in one week. Go figure.
I got it on my first run, and pretty much everyone has gotten it within 5 runs. You ran it 30+ times? That's complete BS and you know it.

Work? And here I thought this was a game we play for fun.

game is fun for casual player. but to compete in leaderboard with end game gear like valkyn skoria, then its not fun at all , maybe fun after your hardwork , you reached #1 leaderboard and got all end game gear. that s why i m so happy that getting valkyn is rng and need to do it over and over, because its a end game gear. and all end game gear should be rng, BoP, and drop from hardest content. not something you can buy in guild store or trade.

But in 1.6 PvE it's at best only marginally better than stuff I can craft, especially since they "fixed" it.
Certainly nothing that justifies running CoA over and over just to farm it and hope to get lucky.
I would gain a lot more power using that time to grind champion points, which will always stay with my character. The current Undaunted sets will in all likelihood go obsolete once they roll out some new content (albeit some months from now, but still).
The only Undaunted set I see as worth farming right now is Engine Guardian, and that is really only for PvP or maybe for tanks in PvE. As a magicka dps, I'd rather just stack spell damage or magicka...the difference is very small in single-target situations.
If anything, the best "endgame gear" is from PvP bags right now...and you can damn near afk grind AP, so I don't really see the correlation between skill and obtaining endgame gear there.
